Skoda Kodiaq 2021 Travel Assist real-life test on highway (motorway) & on country roads : [1001cars]

Skoda Kodiaq (face lift for 2021 and 2022) can be equipped with Travel Assist function. It provides active support for longitudinal and lateral steering and comprises Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Adaptive Lane Assist including roadwork recognition, Traffic Jam Assist and Emergency Assist. The system is activated at the touch of a button, which is located on the multifunction steering wheel, keeping the new Skoda Kodiaq in its current lane and automatically monitoring the distance to vehicles in front. In congested traffic, Travel Assist can autonomously bring the Skoda Kodiaq 2021 to a stop, make it pull away and follow other vehicles. When the indicator is activated, the system assists in changing lanes and provides steering support through tight corners.

Exellent test, I like to see more like this, and like one before with Passat B8 about real consumption in traffic. Maybe you can test turbo petrol engine, exp. 1.2 tsi, 1.4 tsi, like you were with diesel...

It is a capacitive steering wheel :) It is enough to just touch it.

Czy ten system dziala tak samo dobrze jak w Golfie 8? Czy moze rozne samochody z grupy VAG maja rozny hardware ?

Nie jest to tak łatwo ze sobą porównywać, ale odniosłem wrażenie że jednak najnowszy Golf ma nieco lepszy system. Co do ma Kodiaq to jest analogiczny system do aktualnego Passata, Arteona, Tiguana.

Każdy nowy Kodiaq z Travel Assist powinien mieć kierownicę pojemnościową. Nie wiem jak z innymi modelami, które nie mają Travel Assist.

@@JustasOmis There is no one choice :) For example for physical buttons in Skoda are me much better than capacitive areas in Tiguan R-design. Kodiaq is also more spacious inside, but it has worse interior quality.
