I do feel sorry that Whyte has had to wait this long to get a title shot...but I also think that's been good for him to be seen as a draw still, I think against the big boys in the division of Fury, Wilder, Joshua and now Usyk he just isn't on their level and gets knocked out too easily. I don't know if he'll get knocked out here but I'd predict it'll be very comfortably for Fury.

I think fury will be cautious early , happy to bank the points , but with Whyte trying to force the pace , there will come a time it might be mid rounds it might be late , where he tires and becomes an easy target and then fury stops him

Dillian has schooled every opponent he has ever faced, but only for the first few rounds. Once he gets tired... he becomes nothing more than a glorified Chisora.

In terms of a boxer Whyte and Wilder are night and day. You can’t show clips of him in the Joshua fight, he trained in his local gym for it but now he’s with Harold Knight (Lennox Lewis’ co-trainer to the late great Emmanuel Steward) after gaining solid fundamentals from Mark Tibbs. Completely different fighter

I would be very interested if Whyte can be successful attacking Fury's body because nobody has done that and Whytes body shots are really impressive and he has an excellent jab with a long reach for his height I hope we get a ref that doesn't allow leaning and constant clinching and we could have a great fight
Agree. Whytes not called the bodysnatcher for nothing. His bodyshots do damage and Furys weakness is his soft belly body. Fury gonna have to be on his bicycle all night to avoid the bodyshots, the in close tactics he used against Wilder would work against him here. I not sure Fury has the fitness to stay away from Whytes bodyshots...if Whytes smart, he will target Furys body for 9 rounds straight b4 even thinking about going after his elusive head...cos as the old boxing saying goes, 'Kill the body and the head will die'

He winced with pain...if Wilder had stuck to the game plan and did a sustained body attack early in the fight, it would weakened Fury even more and made him susceptible to headshots...but Wilders been a headhunter all his career and its hard to break old habits. Whyte can have success where Wilder failed...we will see on Sunday
From what I’ve heard, I rate Dillian Whyte for not ‘playing to their tune’. Also, if anything, I think Fury has seemed less confident than usual, still think he’ll win, but don’t think he runs him over as some people seem to think

@Y Abdu Povetkin has arguably the best highlight reel in the entire division, possibly even better than Wilders.
The man is an prestigious pedigree trap artist. He has the ability to lams that shot on absolutely anyone on the division. In order to take his Povetkin defeat into consideration, you also have to consider that no one, has beaten Povetkin so convincingly. To think that he was bullying the man, and beating him to death, in both fights (up until the KO in the first of course) speaks volumes of Dillians level.
Only a fool would look down on a Povetkin loss as a joke. The man has outstanding Amateur and professional success, and can give anyone problems.

Let's not forget, that Povetkin gave Michael Hunter a tough night only 6 months before his first bout with Dillian, and a matter of months before that, had beaten Tysons cousin, Hughie.
I'm sure even Tyson would acknowledge today, as he did in the build up to his fight with Wlad, that age was the major determining factor in their bout, and that it was Furys maim advantage over him. Needless to say, Klitschko was still a very real, and dangerous threat to any man, as he went on to prove 2 years later against AJ. The same danger, will stay with Povetkin, even 5 years from now. The man doesn't need to be able to dance around the ring to do what he does best. He reads an opponent well, makes constant, micro adjustments, sets traps, and is patient, and a king of timing. Dillian deserves nothing but respect for his win over Povetkin, as opposed to a stick to beat him with. The same applies to the accomplishments of all fighters. But fight fans are fickle, and look for trivial ways to knock their 'unfavourite' fighter. Which is ironic for a demographic of turn coats.
I'll admire Whyte, whether he wins or loses on Saturday night, and I believe he can win. Watch 90% of the Fury fans turn if he does.
Just adding one point. Fury-Wilder 2 did actually sell out and Fury-Wilder 3 would have sold out as well if not for the covid travel restrictions.

Fury's definitely in MUCH better shape than he was in the last Wilder fight. He has less mass on him than he did for the second Wilder fight too, which indicates to me he's looking to be light and fast
I don't think his weight will be tremendously different, you have to remember that he weighed in in clothes+shoes+hat last time so he was really around 267. I think he's only around 5 -7lbs lighter but just in much better shape.

This was a proper fight build up, professional with respect. Both fighters focussed on the night rather than the bullshit build up and ‘hype’. The whole McGregor/Mayweather build up, followed by the god-awful TH-cam boxing scene has ruined boxing build ups now. There’s got to be (obviously pretend) ‘beef’ and shouting and screaming at each other otherwise it’s considered disappointing…. Such a shame

Imo Frank Warren really messed this one up. Finally got a big fight ahead of Eddie and should’ve promoted this fight everywhere.
Instead, they’ve been fighting terms and it’s resulted in minimal promotion & very little interest relative to the magnitude of the fight. People are trying to re-sell tickets below face value in their desperation after a diabolical promotion.
You didnt seem to mention that Fury maybe going for a highlight real. And doing that with Whyte maybe a big mistake, as not only is he a great counter puncher, hes good on the inside. In short

I'm not sure Fury has leapfrogged AJ in terms of popularity... he obviously has in terms of the standing; but that was just as much if not more so, down to AJs losses against Ruiz and Usyk (The loss against Ruiz particularly).
But AJs faced anyone and everyone he can; the number of fights he's had, against the level of opponents he's faced... that's unmatched.
We're incredibly lucky to have two amazing British Heavyweights in AJ and Fury at the same time. Whyte is no bum either.

Fury hasn't got a good uppercut he telegraph's it too much and has on numerous occasions hit himself with it because he throws it wrong.

I think Whyte could very well drop him in the first 4 rounds. This has got to be Whytes last chance for the title. I know Fury’s power was on show against Wilder but I don’t think Whyte will come in particularly scared of his punch power so I think he I’ll come out swinging
Not too smart. Fury doesn't have one punch knockout power but if Whyte doesn't respect the power he'll accumulate too much damage and get stopped later just like Wilder.
Rivas and Parker had Whyte on his arse... Fury certainly could hurt Whyte.

It's heavyweight boxing. One punch and it's over, but Fury to lose against this would be weird. People are really putting Wilder as really poor as a boxer, but I don't think anyone can avoid his huge power in heavyweight. I just feel Whyte will be really exposed with poor footwork. Fury will end this earlier than most believe
Agreed, its Fury all day on paper. The one worrying thing is Furys tendency to get comfortable and misjudge the danger. He can get complacent and looks vulnerable momentarily, etc the Wilder knockdowns and Cunningham. If Tyson is 100% focused i think he wins by a mile

Let’s get it right this fight sold out Wembley and is as big as it is because it’s Tyson fury v dillian whyte, if it was anybody els apart from whyte, AJ or usyk then this wouldn’t of sold 94,000 tickets at Wembley. Nobody wants to see fury v Parker and he if that fight had to happen instead then there would be a massive refund in tickets. It’s the show people want and that why it sold not because it’s Tyson’s home coming. Tyson is a great fighter but all this his the best ever 😳 if Tyson retires after this fight then in my opinion he can’t be considered the best ever or amongst the greats as he needs to fight all the top 5 fighters of todays era.
Absolutely agree. He can never be talked about in the same way as the all time greats if he retires. The reason why Ali, Foreman, Lewis, etc are considered top 5 is because they fought top fighters. Even if they lost some of their big fights, you can never say they ducked anyone. Fury had only fought old Klitchko and Wilder in terms of top fighters. If he retires now, whether he wins or not, it will exclude him from any top 10 or even top 20 list of greatest heavyweights. He still needs to fight Usyk, AJ, Ortiz, etc.

Me personally i feel Whyte is technical tbh. In his fights vs Joseph Parker and Oscar Rivas he showed a really good jab. Great shot selection and smart footwork to cut off the ring. Whyte is far from fast and sometimes moves so slow. But i think he has the tools to give Fury problems. If he can get in and dig to the body he could break him down overtime. We'll see though Fury can do anything really.
