Alice Sue Claeys's program seemed surprisingly modern. Not much height on the jumps but fast rotation in the air, limited prep time for the jump, no long, drawn-out movements, lots of combinations, even a triple into double axel sequence. Props to Hubert for coming back so well after her disastrous Olympic long program. Wow, that British judge hated Bonaly. 4.7 for both Tech an Artistic? Too bad the end of Yamaguchi's program was cut off.
Everyone skated bad, and she was an Olympic medalist, on her home ice. What would you expect. Even the bronze medalist Lu Chen only landed the same number of triples as her (4), so of course Nancy who had a much bigger reputation at the time, more maturity, and was in America, would come out ahead.
Nancy got lucky to be on the podium with crappy free skates at both the 92 Olympic and 92 Worlds. Maybe if she had not medalled at those events then it would have made her work harder on her mental toughness for the 93 season, where she crashed spectacularly at Worlds. I liked Tonya's Moon River SP. Too bad she was just too darn inconsistent, probably due to undisciplined training ethic on her part.
Patricia neske was a triple toe loop triple salchow queen... Just like all the american stakers in her day... Never learned the difficult jumps and realize she had no chance in the US and went to skate for another country.... The US coaches held this girl back
Why did the Belgian girl the second girl in pink? Why didn’t she go to the Olympics? Why why wouldn’t they let her go to the Olympics? That’s messed up
Surya Bonaly was brilliant technically but never could flourish as an artist. She really showed here how she needed to find a new direction for her skating.
Well this year she was a mess technically too. Look at her jumps here, LOL! She atleast really cleaned her jumps up bigtime next year, plus improving her artistry a bit.
all the comparisons to Karen Preston by these commentators - they keep talking about lutz as though it was a good one when it was a flutz, such nationalistic bias...

Tonya's free skate at the '92 Worlds was flawed, but it was still far more beautiful than some other "ice queens" at their so-called "best ".😊
I can't believe Nancy made the podium

I wish Tonya would have just fought foe this program :(

Tonya didn't exactly have a monopoly on inconsistentcy.
I think Siri, Siri, Bon Lee got over scored
How did Nancy get third spell she missed one this is just a joke
why did it cut off from kristi’s?

whose to say that she never had the loop flip & Lutz consistent and competition ready? I think it's not like she couldn't get them to competition?
Held her back by not teaching her the jumps?
@@scottee8146 What do you mean?? Did she have the jumps or not? She only did salchow and toe loop here.🤔🤔🤔

When your highest skater is 5th or 6th, you try to cheer them on the best you can.
Bonaly was never very good.
