- 'Kate Hails Schoolchildren as 'Stars' of Bahamas'
The Duchess of Cambridge has offered words of encouragement to pupils in the Bahamas, as she addressed the impact of coronavirus on education.
Speaking at an assembly at the Sybil Strachan Primary School in Nassau, she said: "You have a wonderful proverb in your country - 'When the moon is not full the stars shine more brightly'. I see all of you as the stars of this country."
Kate also spoke of her hope that her children George, Charlotte and Louis, who "love being by the sea", would be able to visit the country in the future.

It’s good to hear that Bahamas welcomed Prince William and Duchess Catherine so warmly.
Catherine is much more confident with public speaking now - whereas she used to be shy and speak in short sentences, she's really blossomed.

Wherever Heads of State, be they from Britain or the President of the USA, make an official visit political groups and protesters will use it to get their points across and gain publicity.
When Harry was on a minor trip to the Caribbean, before he met his wife, there were protests .it just goes with the job.
I agree that William and Catharine have handled the awkward moments well but on the whole I think there have been plenty of wonderful welcomes from the people themselves.
True, Harry was dating Meghan then, and was faced with hostility in Jamaica. I think Jamaica would give the Sussuxes a hard time too. They still represent the UK.

Yeah! Jamaica really messed up. Bahamas was so gracious and that portrait of HM is lovely. Whoever painted it did a great job. It does look like HM. Princess Catherine's dress is just so pretty. I love that mint green or whatever green it is and her speech was so touching. You could hear Princess Catherine's sincerity. So nice.

But the Bahamas finally made me realize that we still have very beautiful black people on earth. They are beautiful and have a very warm welcome to the visitors there. Bahamas people are the best and most blessed people and they represent most of us black people that we are not bad.

But yh im Jamaican and it’s more than just being in the commonwealth/ having the Queen as the head, it’s also about getting the reparations that they rightly deserve after everything they’ve put Jamaica through, secondly they literally begged Jamaican ppl to come to their country(hence the wind rush generation) and then proceeded to treat them horribly, and discriminate against them🤷🏾♀️ there’s more but u get the point.
