- The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Shortwood Teacher's College in Kingston where they talked to young children and college students before the Duchess gave a speech about the importance of early years study.

When you see them with children you do not see a Duke and Duchess, you simply see William and Katherine.
Kate is kind, beautiful and a jewel in the royal crown. Well done William. What a wonderful Queen she will be.

William and Kate are truly genuine! They looked the children in the eye, and lowered themselves down to accomplish that. Children KNOW when they are being spoken to by someone genuine and welcoming vs. a FAKE persona. I nearly cried when I saw William LISTEN carefully to the child. BRAVO!! THIS is the future of England!
They are as insincere as a political organisation on its back legs can be. Have a look at the video again. Its a PR exercise. What about it to you seems organic and genuine. Self promotion and manipulation is all you can see'.

She said in their engagement interview that she was prepared to learn and to work hard. We can see she's shown real commitment, not just made glib promises.

PW and C are obviously happy interacting with the children. They truly are the faces of the future. I love the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. They must both feel exhausted but they still engage with so many people in a positive way. I especially love how Catherine just introduces herself as Catherine to the children knowing that that's what they'll understand, I know of other Duchess's (not mentioning any names as I don't want my post to be negative) who might introduce themselves as The Duchess of ........., even to children.

I have a somewhat different view as I try to recall that during those times the ruling monarchs assisted the poorer countries in their future development as well. As times mature we cannot necessarily afford the "past" miscalculations everywhere. There were enormous contributions over time.
