I am upset. My Samsung washing machine is broke. It needs a new tub. The weigh balance is broke in half screws have come out of the Weigh balancer and many screws have come out of the washing.machine The tub is unavailable. Needs replacing. It is just.my husband and myself that use the washing machine. I am upset that I need to buy a new one. I purchased mine at Lowe's in Shreveport, La. a few years ago.
I had a samsung washing machine for about 3 years. Then i moved to an apartment that was too small for it so it was put in cold storage at my parents place. After a year there my parents machine broke down so they borrowed mine. And they liked it so much that they kept it. 3 years after that i live in a bigger apartment and my parents are keeping my old samsung so i just ordered a new one for me 😀
Bought a Samsung top-load in December of 2012 and just replaced it in September of 2022. It did not have a single issue once for nearly 10 years, and then the bearings went out. Bought another Samsung top-load to replace it. I have had good luck with Samsung products.
I just bought the 6300 in champagne…..its beautiful……..i just replaced my samsung steam w&d that i bought 13 yrs ago. I had a problem with my washer, but the old dryer still works great! It was time……im delighted at how well they both work! My clothes have never come out cleaner…..i also use the wifi and its awesome how it notifies you once the cycles are done. I have been a samsung fan for a long time……!
@@choomanfoo works wonderfully! This set replaced a Samsung pair that I had for for over 12 years.. my dryer still worked.. needed a repair for the washer
2 other ?s the lint tray I empty. But what do you use to get rid of almost half as much, behind the rubber lining around the front of dryer? how do you turn on the dual feature? so you don't have reach far up. It appears mine is off. as the button doesn't do anything on lower panel.
A friend of ours had a Samsung front-loading washer and dryer and the washing machine quit working. I am a pretty handy guy so I told her that I'd take a look at it. Turns out the spyder shaft assembly attached to the back of the stainless steel tub was broken. It was all corroded and brittle. Turns out when the zinc spider arms comes in contact with the stainless steel a chemical reaction occurs and the zinc becomes deteriorated thus causing it to fail. This machine was made in Korea and I guess it was cheaper to use zinc than stainless steel. I ordered a new part and installed it. The machine still wouldn't work because I found out that the circuit board went bad. I don't know what she did with the washer. Turns out that my wife and I had bought an identical washer and dryer only we got the natural gas style dryer. It is about 7 years old. Last week while removing clothes from the washer I noticed that the drum was making a squeaking sound. On Saturday 7/13/2024 our laundry room and kitchen was filled with lots of stinking smoke coming from inside the washer. The same gear wore out and the front of the tub was rubbing against the front rubber gasket while on the spin cycle. We were lucky that it did not catch fire because the gasket was melting. I will never leave an appliance of any kind running while not at home or in bed at night. We did our research and bought a Speed Queen top-loading washer and couldn't be happier with it. It is much quieter too. Since our old Samsung dryer is still working we will keep it for now. Just about all of the laundry mats in this country use Speed Queen washers and dryers. That says a lot about the quality. Plus they are made in the USA.
A Samsung was the only washing machine I ever bought from new. It lasted just 2 years, then the drum-bearings went. A week later I bought a 3yr-old Bosch. That same Bosch (the Exclusiv F 1300A) is now 23yrs-old, and it's still going strong. All it's ever needed was new carbon brushes for the motor. I did it myself for €13.
Samsung has issues, but your experience with Samsung was, in your words, 20 years ago. Not sure if that's a relevant point in relation to current products.
We just junked our Sammy pair after just 5 years. The washer was spinning violently and jumping around the whole laundry room. A little research showed this is a common and expensive problem to fix, and will just recur. Absolute junk, should have done research before buying. Went with GE 850 now and should be a much better choice over the long haul.

My older Samsung frontload washer from 2016 Addwash and the dry has quick dry in 30 minutes .So this is not a first time for a fast dry and no it is called super speed .
Why would I need to remotely start a load of laundry? What possible scenario requires me to start the washer after I was already physically at the washer putting in the items??? Does the app sort and load it for me???
You can load your laundry in the morning, start it an hour before you get home in the evening. When you get home all you have to do is throw it in the dryer and you avoid having your wet clothes sit in the washer for 8 to 10 hours. Use your brain.
@@Sapper29 Or, and just using my brain here, you could load the machine when you get home and then start the laundry immediately. Obviously that means that if you get home at 5 and the wash cycle takes 45 mins, they won't be done until 5:45 rather than starting them at 4:15 and being done at 5. However, given that a washing machine doesn't take any user input that 45 minutes shouldn't really be the end of the world. Maybe if you were then planning to go out at 6:00, but for how many people is that the regular use case?
eco bubble? does this models have it ? it really change the quality of the laundry ...when you have foam in couple of seconds...i think best combo for good wash is Dose and Ecobble in the market
Samsung should take notes on how other brands like Siemens and Bosch build their washer. The tech is all good but the build quality should be better. At the end of the day.. it's a washing machine! It doesn't need to be replaced every two years! I heard a lot of my friends Samsung washer breaking down just under two years. While the Siemens I bought from 2018 is still running smoothly today! Only problem I have with it are the molds and smell that builds up on the rubber seal and in the drum, which common among washers and can easily be cleaned.

It's not about price, it's reliability. Look for the brand that has the least amount of service calls. I went with Westinghouse, by today's standards a pretty basic machine, but it works, it cleans clothes and doesn't want to talk to me any more than I want to communicate with it.
@@BoggWeasel how would we know about the service calls of different companies ? I ditched mine and got another brand, no it's not as pretty but it's a washing machine not a piece of furniture and reliability over looks, bells and whistles every time

I can recommend Samsung- I bought their Samsung washer dryer front loader combo, brand new, 14 years ago and never had any problems with them throughout our stay in the house before moving. We left them perfectly clean upon our departure. The former owners of our current home left us with a near top line LG front loader set with steam clean and drying- they are completely disgusting and weren't properly maintained, and I swear they were purchased used or from a scratch&dent after some use. I'm probably going with the Samsung Bespoke set as replacements.

It really depends on how you are installing them. If you are putting them side by side then sure you can mix and match, but between the trim on the door, color, and control panel design, the pair won’t look cohesive. If you are stacking them I’d recommend sticking to the matching dryer.
Why is the 6000series the only machine talked about here? most common and popular version of these are the 5000 and the 5300 duo the the pretty much same specs and design just different drum design.

Unfortunately they're saying it's normal for the washer to use hot water after you've selected COLD wash. Who decided that it was more efficient to automatically have it add hot water??? It's ruining my clothes. I won't/ can't even put certain things in this washer because they say COLD only. When I've called I asked if I could just do away with a hot water line, they said it probably would cause an error. I'm beyond dissatisfied with this washer, because of this issue.
It could be your home, and not the washer. If you have water pipes that aren’t insulated the water is going into the machine at it’s ambient temperature; if the water in the pipes is say 80 degrees it’s going into the machine at 80 degrees. Pipes that aren’t insulated are very common in southern states/hotter climates.
@@dontdoxmebro No , it's not my home's issue. I called the company it's actually designed this way. Further more my home is a brand new build with great construction, our plumber is someone my husband works with on many construction jobs. They said there is still a warming mechanism that would make it warm up, and that I would end up getting error codes. I've called them a few times trying to find a solution.

The service is a deal braker in my opinion. And additionally alot of repair shops don't like working on samsung machines because either the parts are not economical to service or they are unable to get the parts they need. What a lie review, listen to all the repair people who say they are the absolute worst washer and dryer ever out of all washers. I had a Samsung at my last home and what junk, then we bought a different house and had Samsung, the top lip was broke the dryer vent completely poorly designed. It washes poorly and the repair guy said he would never buy one unless it was someone he didnt like then maybe he would suggest buying one. We bought the Samsung front load new 6 weeks ago. Horrible, horrible customer service. The washer only leans your clothes if they aren’t really dirty. Sweaty clothes, bedwetters clothes, or whites that you would like to use bleach for disinfectant make this washer not a good choice. It allows you to put a few tablespoons of bleach for a load with washcloths, dirty white socks, tee shirts etc. when the bleach bottle tells you a half cup to 3/4 cup. So, the germs remain. Things you would like emerged in water make Samsung not a good choice. HUGE buyer’s remorse. Miss my top load agitator style washer. It simply acts like a dryer drum with enough water to wet your clothes but not cover them with water. Clothes don’t smell fresh after being tossed in a circle while wet with a dash of detergent.

As an appliance technician, I can tell you I have to fix more Samsung appliances than anything without a doubt. Broken Samsung appliances literally pay my bills.
Damn really? I just bought two for my parents (I'm 18) and I tried doing a lot of research and now, after the fact, I am realizing that there are more horror stories about Samsung than I originally realized. Is there anything I can do to prolong the life of my Samsung Washer and Dryer? My bad for being stupid idk I wanted to make my parents happy and ig and I bought the one that was up on Black Friday
@@Queen16333 we’ve had ours about 9 years. The drier has been apart a hand full of times. And I think I’ve replaced a board on the washer but not sure. I am also an appliance technician in the UK and I will second that SAMSUNG and LG 👎If you want a good washer go for the basic ones with as less digital and fancy options possible. Samsung and LG should stick to making phones and Televisions.
I purchased the Samsung stackable washer and dryer in the year 2019. I was having knee surgery and wanted the machines installed for convenience. My current washer and dryer was in the basement, I AM A ONE PERSON HOUSEHOLD!!!! ITS JUST ME HERE DOING 3 LOADS OF LAUNDRY PER WEEK. A dark, a white load and one set of sheets and towels. With that said, the main circuit board failed in the washer machine after two years. Had that fixed. Now this month August 2024, the dryer barrel will not turn and it just makes a humming noise. So I am clear, DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG JUNK. not only that, they take a very long time to set up repair appointment. Look no further, buy another brand like LG or Maytag.
The new Samsung washer and dryers are junk . Control panel went out in 13 months of light use the dryer has had the heating element gone bad 5 TIMES in 2 years and you have to replace not only the element but the temperature sensor and high temp sensor as well… total junk. Please don’t waste your money unless you love throwing it away. They are better looking and more modern designs and that’s where it ends.

Do not ever, I repeat EVER, buy a machine without an agitator! Sorry but the top load TR7 Speed Queen washer (with agitator) is the top of the line! You don't need a fancy POWER wash button because you have a MULTITUDE of wash options including HEAVY wash. This Speed Queen actually FILLS TO TO TOP of the tub if you select and of course has many other water fill options. It also offer at least 10 favorite buttons, should you choose to program, pre-wash, pre-soak, delayed start, STABLE spin, and so much more. Spend a few extra bucks, get the INCLUDED 7 year warranty and this thing will probably last 40 years if you keep it clean! You can balance a nickel on this machine during the spin cycle and the wash cycle is so quiet, you'll think it isn't operating! This is a heavy duty built machine which of course offers gentle cycles for your light weight clothing, rugs and more. I've owned at least 5 machines in my lifetime and none perform as well as the Speed Queen, which by the way is built in America for over 100 years! Stop falling for the home store junk. Go and check them out!
The TR7's cleaning ability is rated below average in controlled tests, likely because its agitator does not move independent of the tub and it's not an auger type that turns over the clothes. Stuff on top sticking out of the water tends to stay there. To address that you need the TC5, which only has two fill options and is harder on clothes. Personally I really like Speed Queen's FF7 front loader but it has gotten ridiculously expensive and there is a 6-10 month wait to buy them so it was not an option when we decided to replace our nearly 20 year old Whirlpool (who is still US made). Frankly it would have made sense to fix our old washer, but we have wanted something able to do larger loads for some time.
@@plmn93 It cleans perfectly for me. The reason the agitator is moving WITH the tub is to be gentler on your cloths by pushing water through them, not beating them like on a rock. It you have extremely filthy clothes with oil, grass and other stains you may be better served by using their lower model with the "Classic wash" where the agitator moves independently and could probably beat oil out of marble. I mainly wash sheets, towels, jeans, pull-over shirts socks, underwear and so on. My clothes come out very clean and in good shape. For items like tough white socks, I simply select a more powerful wash with pre-soak, stain remover and don't even need bleach.
problem is they are decades behind in capacity. Laughably small and impractical for families, king size comforters, and just spending less time doing laundry. My parents have one but I looked into them and they are all 3.2 cu. ft. of capacity. No thank you!

No no no no no, never again. My Samsung front loader lasted 10 months before the counterweight came adrift, the bolts holding it failed and it started banging and grinding depositing reddish dust as it shredded itself. The label says, "assembled in the USA", but that doesn't mean squat if the parts they use are rubbish and come from China. NEVER. NEVER buy a Samsung appliance, TV's and mobile phone are fine. Read this, my true and 100% accurate experience - TERRIBLE in every way: Samsung air conditioners - 12, yes, TWELVE all dead in less than 6 years! Samsung washing machines - 3 dead, one 4 years, one 5 years, one 6.5 years Samsung fridges, consumer CHEATED! 5 x 1HP cooling only, 5 x 2HP cooling only: All twelve A/C units had to be replaced, condenser coils leak gas, only 6 (or less) years old. These "cheap and very nasty units all use "micro channel", all aluminum condenser coils. They corrode and gas leaks out, technician usually "adds a little R22", and says "all OK", all under 7 years old. DISGRACEFUL environmental damage to save a little money. Technicians advise to replace, then offer more of the "same rubbish". No WAY! DO NOT buy this rubbish, it's terrible! Washing machines, (front load), first one lasted 4 years, technician advised, "not repairable", design fault with "drum bearing and support, completely rusted out" Second front loader, 2 years, burned out circuit board, replaced. Lasted 2 more years, technician advised 2 burned out boards, not worth fixing. More landfill, not even 10 years (expected), use. Third, 6.5 years old, same "drum bearing" failure, as in most other failure. Fridge 1, side by side 510L, display died 8 days after warranty expired, Hugely expensive to replace. Cheap door handles, "stainless look", rubbed away, now showing plastic, what a joke! Fridge 2, compressor failed at 4 years, new compressor replaced under "10 year motor warranty", we had to pay for labor, gas and ancillary parts after waiting 3 weeks to get the parts. NOTE, we had 5 (in total) compressor replacements on this fridge, "they converted it to a non-Inverter", installed a condenser coil on the back, it was noisy and very inefficient. GONE, NEVER AGAIN Samsung, NEVER! NEVER, NEVER, NEVER buy these aesthetically beautiful, very badly and cheaply built loads of rubbish! Samsung should stick with phones and TV's. The TV's suffer "back light failure" usually just after the warranty expires, BEWARE! Our MIELE washer lasted 29 years - NO SERVICE calls. MIELE dishwasher, 30 years, NO service call, then we sold the home.

Aren't Samsung washers and dryers supposed to be utter garbage in terms of reliability? How come they are being recommended in the video?. I had the Samsung Flex. Utter trash. It didn't last at all. When the repair man took it apart, he found rust in the drum. After just a year of use.

It needs a new tub. The weigh balance is broke in half screws have come out of the

My 2 Samsung washing machines lasted more than 12 years…believe me, they are worth it!
2 other ?s the lint tray I empty. But what do you use to get rid of almost half as much, behind the rubber lining around the front of dryer? how do you turn on the dual feature? so you don't have reach far up. It appears mine is off. as the button doesn't do anything on lower panel.
I'm on the west coast but this was by far the easiest and most detailed review. Thank you!
That's not good for samsung. The bearing isn't expensive, but it seems like you have to take the whole damn machine apart to replace it.
@@cerilious they also have a propensity to explode.
Samsung has issues, but your experience with Samsung was, in your words, 20 years ago. Not sure if that's a relevant point in relation to current products.

Are you guys going to get the new Samsung bespoke Ultra capacity AI washer and dryer that Samsung unveiled 3 months ago that's coming to the US ?

I would buy a smart washing machine only if app fold my clothes
And when it malfunctions...they cant fix it
If the door bell rings or……..

So what is the best washer and dryer price being no obeject.
It's not about price, it's reliability. Look for the brand that has the least amount of service calls. I went with Westinghouse, by today's standards a pretty basic machine, but it works, it cleans clothes and doesn't want to talk to me any more than I want to communicate with it.
@@BoggWeasel how would we know about the service calls of different companies ? very superficial review. i would have loved to hear more of its reliability and does it actually wash well
Samsung's reliability is not bad, but their service is terrible because they don't have their own service network.
Samsung make pretty bad washing machines, with the worst drum-bearings the planet has to offer.
Had one, washed well until it broke after only 10 months, counterweight came adrift, sounded like a traffic accident in my kitchen and I'm not the only person this has happened too... get a good warranty plan or put a stack of cash aside for the repairs if you're going to buy one. I ditched mine and got another brand, no it's not as pretty but it's a washing machine not a piece of furniture and reliability over looks, bells and whistles every time
@@BoggWeasel Ours lasted 22 months. We immediately bought a 3yr old Bosch. That same machine is now 23 yrs old, and apart from replacing the carbon brushes (€14), we've had no issues whatsoever. If the bearings don't go (it's too big job) I intend to keep it going forever.
I'm probably going with the Samsung Bespoke set as replacements.
how do you turn off the ending noise?
My counterweight came loose and snapped in two, took out the door lock and some minor insignificant damage to the boot seal. Samsung gave me $1050 for a new washer on their website and never picked up the old washer lol. I actually bought a used counterweight and the door lock and the old washer is running fine now. I was lucky that i turned the machine off quickly when that counterweight came loose and started making hellish banging noises inside the machine. The bolts come loose from the factory, it's insane. If anyone who's recently purchased a samsung washer is reading this, take the front cover off the machine and check the 3 bolts holding the counterweight in place, take all 3 out, apply blue loctite to the threads and tighten the hell out of them when you put them back in.

Can you mix and match washer and dryers?
It really depends on how you are installing them. If you are putting them side by side then sure you can mix and match, but between the trim on the door, color, and control panel design, the pair won’t look cohesive. If you are stacking them I’d recommend sticking to the matching dryer.

They are garbage. Almost immediately after the warranty expired, the washer stopped working properly.
It now takes 3+ hours to wash, and only after i keep restarting it about 10 times during that 3+ hours.
Its 2024 and they can’t make a dependable washer?
Every stupid additional feature is one more point of failure.
You can make a cake out of dog poop, and it doesn't matter how much frosting or how many candles you put on it, it'll still taste like poop. Samsung should stick to electronics. Got my money back and have switched to another brand.
i had the same issue but my washer was 2 months old, if you look online this is happening to a lot of people with newer Samsung front load washers....
Who hates the Admiral Samsung end chime? I would like to speak to those people.
That's very interesting that they don't use the steam function yet they pay extra money for something that they don't use as a tech savvy person I definitely would use it.
That's not alright most of the service centres are very good
Samsung it self they do not want to replace
Part they are so good at making excuses
Won’t buy ever again and ripped me off from my rebate for buying it
Samsung brown goods are poor quality, bought a washing machine less then a year, the front door rubber and ring came off, not covered by there so called 5/10 year warranty. 4 months later same problem, and Samsung wanted another £160. Decided to BIN it and buy a better brand! AVOID buying Samsung washing machines

Samsung should stick to making phones and TV's, their washers are garbage. Save your money and buy a Speed Queen.
Samsung is unreliable brand. Technology is cutting edge but reliability is ancient. Technical problems are typical and very frustrating and expensive.
After my review Samsung is better than lg
Bad appliances
NEVER. NEVER buy a Samsung appliance, TV's and mobile phone are fine.
Read this, my true and 100% accurate experience - TERRIBLE in every way:
Samsung air conditioners - 12, yes, TWELVE all dead in less than 6 years!
Samsung washing machines - 3 dead, one 4 years, one 5 years, one 6.5 years
Samsung fridges, consumer CHEATED!
5 x 1HP cooling only, 5 x 2HP cooling only:
All twelve A/C units had to be replaced, condenser coils leak gas, only 6 (or less) years old.
Washing machines, (front load), first one lasted 4 years, technician advised, "not repairable", design fault with "drum bearing and support, completely rusted out"
Second front loader, 2 years, burned out circuit board, replaced.
They are poor quality. Do not buy.
They won’t last 10 years Samsung makes the worst appliances ever
samsung washers are terrible. youl will need to get a different washer or learn to wash by hand
PoS !!!
Great washer
I love it
Google what happen to samsung washer in 2016 and what happen to their bespoke washer ! Lol😅 Read and tell me if you still dare to buy .
I cant get over stinking washing machines. I have never had a stinking washing machine! I will not purchase a front loader for that very reason.
Junk junk junk junk junk junk junk junk
Absolute junk. I wouldn't install one if it was given to me
Sorry to hear that! What type of washer and dryer are your currently using that you like?
@@DesignerAppliances I have a 20 year old Whirlpool dryer with lint filter on top that has never needed repair. Thats a no brainer for me. SQ dryers hold up well too. My washer is a 15 year old Staber which I really like. They are up to around $2400 now and going into their 3rd generation. You cant get sone parts for gen 1 and 2..
Which is absolutely ridiculous. I am getting my customers into SQ washers. Personally I think they are by far the best domestic washers.
@@rogerwhiting9310 Sounds like you are in the industry! Thanks for watching. We love Speed Queen as well. For top load laundry it's one of the only brands we recommend. What is your preferred front load washer? The Speed Queens are pretty expensive and we find most people have a hard time getting over the smaller 3.5 cu. ft. capacity.
@@DesignerAppliances it has come down to not finding ANY front load machines a decent choice. The customers I encounter with the best front load luck is the Electrolux line...ie Frigidaire etc. The ones I usually encounter run for 10 years and then a catastrophic failure that means replacing it. The new big fancy refrigerators are so expensive and troublesome...I recommend people get a service contract after the first year. I am at the point that ANY front load machine needs a service contract...and I wish I wasn't saying that. My brothet has a Whirlpool Duet stacked in the only space available. He bought the service contract on my recommendation.
@@rogerwhiting9310 Good analysis thanks for sharing your thoughts on the topic!
Aren't Samsung washers and dryers supposed to be utter garbage in terms of reliability? How come they are being recommended in the video?. I had the Samsung Flex. Utter trash. It didn't last at all. When the repair man took it apart, he found rust in the drum. After just a year of use.
this is 10 years old already
