Born Francesco Forgione, he was given the name of Pius when he joined the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin.

Sobrang nakakaiyak when I arrived there. Napakagandang experience na makita si Padre Pio sa kanyang himlayan. By God's Grace one day makakapunta ka rin sa kanya para mabisita siya. Sabi nga walang imposible kay Lord di ba!

This is one of the reasons why I went to Italy! A promise fulfilled for me. I wish and pray for believer to see Padre Pio's incorruptible body. Truly a surreal experience.
