I was totally ignorant of St. Padre Pio and his miraculous life until only a few weeks ago. In that short time I have grown very fond of Him, his experiences in his life, and totally believe in what he teaches in regards to having a fervent prayer life. I pray to him daily, have taught myself 3 of St. Padre Pio's prayers asking for his intercession in regards to my current life situations, one being my depression and anxiety that I have had for over 4 decades. To make a long story short, in the past 3 weeks I already have experienced a slight noticeable improvement in regards to my mental illnesses. I had a tendency to confess the same mortal sins, over and over, because I didn’t feel forgiven. When I finally told my priest this, he told me that was the devil filling me with pride to think that God wouldn’t forgive me, so why should I feel forgiven, or forgive myself. When he told me that, I was amazed and shocked!! It made so much sense suddenly. I had never considered that satan was behind my inability to forgive myself!!! Mankind can only heal through the power of Jesus Christ and a dead man cannot heal anyone, only Jesus died and rose again on the third day. I know a lot of Catholics but I'll never understand why they have tossed the Holy Bible to the side, it is the word of God and nowhere in it does it say to pray to anyone except Jesus and his father God, not Mary, not any of the myriad of saints the Catholic Church prays to and especially bowing down to a mere man the pope, he is a mere mortal, again you are not to bow down to man, but now I see why the Catholic church has tossed the Bible out because it speaks against about 75% of the things they do and say like a man (priest) forgiven you of your sins, only Christ can upon accepting him into your heart, come on get back to the Bible and learn the truth and stop bowing down to a pope as if he is a God.
