Minister of Home Affairs, Dr Leon Schreiber, says the final version of the White Paper on Citizenship, Immigration and Refugee Protection will be tailored to align with the objectives of the Government of National Unity. The main objective of the paper is to repeal the Refugees Act and overhaul the immigration system. The proposed policy aims to clamp down on immigration transgressions, among other things. Schreiber has told the Portfolio Committee on Home Affairs in Parliament, that the idea is not to rubber stamp the policy document which is currently before Cabinet.

Our request to the government is simple yet crucial: please ensure that "white only" companies are not given sole control over the digital systems at Home Affairs. Instead, we urge the Minister to prioritise tech companies that are Black-owned or co-owned by Black African individuals. Failing to do so not only risks further economic marginalisation but also opens the door to the possibility of outsourcing immigration services to those who may not have the country’s best interests at heart.

The only problem is ratio. In ratio white people are a small percentage that why it not alarming also for them it is not about skin color.
