    Hal I love your shows so much! I don't care what you have to do to keep it going. On a personal note I want you to know that I had been in a deep and horrible depression this last year and found out I was going on a family reunion cruise to the eastern Caribbean. I was watching cruise bloggers to learn all I could about the islands I was visiting and somehow it led me to your channel. I suddenly got out of my depressed mind state and looked forward to each and every episode you posted. I am doing great now and am back home in Delray Beach. Thankyou so much for having such a great impact on my life.

    In all fairness. The bite and wait theory is very possible. The shark bites, moves away to wait for the victim to become weak from blood loss. This gives the victim time to rescue themselves or be rescued by someone else. Seals, sea lions etc. don't have someone to rescue them.

    • @CharlesSeipel
      @CharlesSeipel 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I read a research paper that said that thats basically exclusively how great whites feed. They wait for complete blood loss before feeding. Perhaps theyre just being precautiuos

    When I was 11 years old. I was vacationing at sanibel island in Florida. My father and I waded out off the beach fishing. I was reeling in a lure maybe 5 feet away. when I seen a fin pop up behind it. The shark shot past the lure & came at me. Just as it was getting ready to bite me I jumped onto my father's back. I was lucky & will never forget about it.

    I watched the video by the Malibu Artist today and was just wondering why commercial fishing is allowed but no cage diving being that the commercial fishing boats are much more dangerous to the Great White Sharks

      I believe that was what Carlos was pointing out that it has become political and that the fishing industry down there is tending towards being cartel run like so many other ventures. He’s doing 2 more parts of the series, it should be interesting. I’m no expert, that was just my take on it, did you get those impressions?

      I think it's really bad for our Great White Sharks not to mention the fact that without these magnificent apex predators our oceans would slowly die as well!

      Money. I don't like what's going on there one bit. Hopefully Mauricio Hoyas the shark scientist will still be abke to get there. I don't trust those commercial boats or the Mexican government as far as I could throw them.

    Hal , you should drop a link to your long videos about the same attack that you did the short on. You can do it in the comments , or in the description. That will drive traffic to the long videos , use the short to hook em and reel them in with the long video.

    True fact about great whites in the Med, we’ve discussed it again in the comments here, I think. Their size is a significant detail in all cases, none of them seems to be smaller than 15 ft and it probably explains the fatalities and the frequent consuming of victims. Surely your stats are more complete but from what I recall most of the wild attacks in Adriatic, Ionian and Aegean sea involved whites from 18 to 20 feet. W. Mills in Corfu, D. Parassakis, V. Pierri, H. Pogle, L. Constanzo, 3 or 4 attacks in Croatia that you’ve already covered, some fatal attacks in N. Africa-Libyan Sea in early 20th century, with huge sharks attacking Greek fishermen and sponge divers. Almost all these people were literally eaten, like you said. I bet you’ve also seen the famous photo of the 6m specimen caught in Malta, I even have some vintage pics from 1960 to 1985 with 5m great whites caught by fishermen in Greek waters, I’m amazed that all of them got so big back then…
    Keep those videos coming, long or short..
    Sharks swimming in tubes are the worst kind sometimes.

      Yes, the size to me says they are in transit from one feeding spot to another and act more like open ocean sharks in taking the food when they come across it

    • @rottweilerfun9520
      @rottweilerfun9520 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They feed well on the Bluefin Tuna in the Med.

    • @Al3xMadCap
      @Al3xMadCap ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@SharksHappen That's right, they also use the Med as a breeding ground -so the pregnant (and larger) females have to feed. And it's DNA tested: They're genetically related to Australian and New Zealand great whites, i think sharks get seriously bigger down there

    Awe great video Boss , the last 1 , poor guy. Say he didn't get the darn thing off...honey? We're having shark for dinner , come clean it and while you're at it...clean up my arm lol. Dang
    Looking forward to the extra stats , I do believe different elements such as what you mentioned...the moon , humidity, temperature outside , temperature of the water , recent activity in the area...many many more factors could absolutely play a part in attacks or just their mood. Like how they sit by and watch people for hours , decide to attack , decide not to. I like it , I think it'll be very interesting.
    Saw both videos , absolutely heart broken by the 1 Malibu Artist posted , the other? Lol wow what a day.
