If for the environment buy ONLY BUY BAMBOO LYOCELL ,I just got the lavos brand bamboo clothes haul yesterday.
On further examination I found that bamboo cloth is usually just rayon marketed as 100% bamboo .
LYOCELL bamboo is more expensive a process to produce so manufacturers just want to green tag their products by using bamboo as raw material.
So be careful you’re just buying rayon in the end ,most of the time .

Bamboo textiles are not green nor sustainable nor durable. The first reason ppl easily misunderstand this is because these fabrics are incorrectly called bamboo. These textiles are made by a process that turns bamboo into rayon which is substantially worse for the environment than other common fabrics. This process involves literally disolving bamboo into a liquid, then extruding it into a chemical solution that resolidifies it into a thread. The strong solutions used are eventually discarded. Bonus fact: a rayon fiber is 40% weaker than a cotton fiber. Rayon is also known for pilling and premature deterioration.

@@pavanikrishna6218 I suppose they can be. Bamboo paper products could also potentially be considered green. The difference is that these products derive directly from the tree whereas textiles require the wood to be desolved into a liquid by a strong acid. Think of it like this, bamboo fiber or viscose("from bamboo") Isnt bamboo at all, it's rayon.

bro, do a little more research. The process of producing bamboo fibres isnt sustainable in fact, it is much worse for the environment.

If truth be told textile from bamboo is no less polluting than regular textile because chemicals are used extensively to make bamboo textile usable

THis video is misleading. She claims herself to be an environmental conscious person but the process of manufacturing bamboo fibres are much worse. It's like generating electricity out of a diesel plant and using it to charge your electric vehicle. Ridiculous!
