It's incredible how high of a level people can achieve without noticing what is and isn't working. During the first two games I'm not sure Mika knew Otto was left handed...maybe 3 points played to the backhand during those two games combined?! I love seeing these matches. Keep playing and keep posting. Good luck!
Wow, Otto looks like he's moving a lot better! He was beaten in the service/receive game though, Mika got to open up almost every time and in the end it was just too much to overcome for Otto.
Otto, you're such a good player. Such great technique and reading of the ball. You can force your own game game upon your opponent. I love to watch you play. But unfortunately, your mindset has much room for improvement. Don't you have a mental coach? Would be worth it. Small tricks like telling yourself (and believing) that it's 0:0 in this set, no matter what the real score is... You could also have a teammate analyse your opponent and your winning/losing points more during the match in order to give you hints on a working strategy. I think with just very little improvements, you will win against this (great playing) opponent anytime. As I said: Love to see you all play! Greetings from Austria
@@jplanglais but even when otto is on the other side (where we should technically be able to see more from that angle than the opponent) the ball is clearly covered
YES! Even at this 'high' level they get away with it. We have no chance of it being called at club level. It's not just poor officiating, the authorities couldn't give a money's. Clearly illegal.
Fun fact: since only 8 people play table tennis in Finland, the Finnish Championships starts directly with Quarter Final, and all you need to qualify is to show the passport and a paddle. Also, I believe there's this one dude who's an actual table tennis player, so he doesn't participate and just gets the gold medal 20 years in a row.
I dont want to be mean but i feel like you'r hiding a lot your serve. I know the camera is a bit on the left side of the table but a guy standing on the same side would have the same feeling no ?
This a national championship? It looks like they had to borrow barriers from a local club. The referees look like who they could find in the spur of the moment.
Love seeing the competition videos, win or lose! It’s great to see the pongfinity cast play in competitive matches
Otto’s footwork has improved❤❤
Mika is looking old in this video
That Mika is not ours :)
Table tennis very nervous sport
Miika😂
@@nicolasgrueso8190that's the joke captain obvious
@@nicolasgrueso8190Thats the pun
His “don’t give me there” shot didn’t work so well in that match…
Love you guys, all the way from Nigeria❤
Mika used to play for my old club (in Germany) back in the 2010's. So funny to see him here
Mika used to be in Star Trek. I recognised the Starfleet uniform.
@@RGP_Maths Ha 😂
@@RGP_Mathspoor choice of colour though, it never ends well for the guy in red!
@@RGP_Maths Guess one has to have seen Star Trek to understand that one 🤔
4:43 great point! Also Mika has a great backhand...
5:07 is legendary
That was a pretty average shot to be honest
@@waholoopesorry74 If Otto play, you may be say truth.
Yeah

Is there a bracket online for this?
1:30 professor Otto
Nice match Otto, quick question, which rubbers are you using?
i wonder if benedek won in the background
He won
@@cronosvix9974 lol, ofc he won
Yes he did. He won the whole competition. He lost only one set in the competition,in men single final with Alex Naumi.
The background game finished quick. Seems like a 4-0 for benedek👀. Absolute legend!
Otto you need to improve your backhand block, this will be the game changer when you're under pressure 😉
What equipment Otto uses?

both players, well played!
No way Otto dud this at 1:29 !! 😮 Incredible ❤
Pressured Otto’s backhand. And quite ruthless about it too. Took like 5-6 points in a row in the second or third game.
But well played Otto! It was wonderful watching your technique. Great game
Does the real Miikka play the Championships as well?
Otto, what blade and rubbers are you using?
otto makes the game look easy
Look at Mika here... So calm and simply showing the experience and ball prediction
Great match Otto, just need to work on that endurance. You're level of play decreases as your stamina runs out quickly
Otto you can do this!!
1:18-1:19: around the net!!
I like Otto style, I use left hand to.
Otto was nervous, tough way to go out.
Oh wow, i wasn't even paying attention in the 3rd game anymore, I thought he had it in the bag
great work otto
Did Miikka join this tournament?
Che tipo di gomme usa Otto?
those backhand >
We see Otto , we see Mikka but why dont we see Emil
Emil hasn't played competitively in a decade, since he got injured. But because of that, we have Pongfinity.
@@Baikowhats his injury and how did he get injured
am i the one hearing "f*ck" everytime Mika miss a point? and good match love to see this content!
What rubber does Otto play with?
Black and round, Pirelli.
Nice match, but not the best angle to watch .... 😞
7:50 when you give him there
Sensei is the best!!! Cheer up Otto!!!
Nice comeback
Otto's serves seem super illegal, no?
The way he tosses the ball diagonally, you mean? I was wondering that too.
Your perception is skewed mainly because of the bad camera angle

Great serve from Mika

The hell you talking about? Benedek is playing behind them afaik.
@@Mark_GL ah yeah I didn't even notice.
That was a joke of course. But there's a lot of truth in that joke.
I'm competing in a tournament next month. Wish me luck!

the video is rushed, but good game!
Is anyone else watching Benedek play instead of otto
definitely targeted ottos backhand in these matches here, nonetheless good match and well done otto !
Miikka put on a few years didnt he?
Better aiming Otoo!
Otto has ping-pong fatigue?
Thats where he Finnished? 😅
Mikka is it again some challenge, or what happened with your hair

Hi
This Mika is better than original Mika
You are right. " this Mika " has won Finnish championship in men's single several times when he was younger.
Fun fact they are promoting their raquets but still use timobol blade..
Yeah but their rackets are for newer players, which beginner is going to buy a Timo Boll
@@PianoHypnoshroom i know a few friends with first racket timo boll
Is Mikka not competing?
Mikka got recasted
Hi there
Otto's backhand wasn't on its normal level that day unfortunately :(
mika seems to have aged a bit
🎉🎉🎉
otto's serve looks pretty "bad" (not enough variations, not enough free points by opponment's fool)
Otto suli :D
❤️👍
Otto gets worse and worse every time.
This a national championship? It looks like they had to borrow barriers from a local club. The referees look like who they could find in the spur of the moment.
Looks lika Mika has an alkohol problem :D
this is mikka after the midlife crisis
Disappointing stuff
Otto is a much better player than that guy
That guy has won Finnish championship several times. Otto NEVER ! ! ! So shut up !
How many competitive athletes are there in Finland?
less than 100 talking about good players. There's about 1000 players in Finland in any level of competition
