I restarted and everything but nothing :( Any idea why? 1080p I can play but for the rest I only have sound

I selected no and to remove it from Chrome but it downloaded some Chromium app to my computer, a desktop icon, and changed my whole Chrome set up. Is this a virus? I would like to have my computer back to it's original function.
