Whenever I need to get any information about my financial queries , I just search for your informative videos & get enlightened as always. Mukul Sir, you are just Awesome. Many Thanks.
Itne saral example aur words mein samjhane ke liye dhanyawaad. Ek baat jo main janna chahta hu wo ye ki, agar cost of improvement multiple years mein hai to kya her saal ka alag alag improvement calculate karna hoga ya ek baar mein hi total value ka improvement calculate hoga?
Thank You Sir..Dil se..For your initiatives in financial knowledge providing... I am a banker and in service for last 14 years still neither my current nor last four organisation never shared such information.Thank you.
Hiii Mukul, I watch your videos regularly. All are very helpful and informative. Pls keep it on & on & on...... I request you to make one detailed video on superannuation. Content can be - Overview, basic info, IT rules, exemption and How to access/check balance/claim ?? Thanks....
Thanks for this video. I have not found any video so far which talks about the LTCG for property bought on installments and interest paid with installment. I guess the calculations would differ for such cases.
Excellent information and description. Hope I am able to download relevant information from the sites mentioned in this video. Once again thank you for uploading informative video. Regards
Thank You Yogi ji. Your videos are always quite informative and help to understand finance better. I have a query that what if the property is 50 years old ? How to calculate it's indexed value of acquisition ? Because if we calculate it's indexation value with reference to CII of 2001-02, then it would be quite less.
I Don't Know Sir But I am a Really Fan of your Teaching Skill Yrr itna Simple level se Aap Tuff Topics Ko cover karte ho Please make videos for Export And Import Please Please please please 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Very well explained and informative video.Thanks. If a property sale above 50 lakhs results in a long term capital loss, is there a procedure/form in place that allows the buyer not to deduct 1% TDS?
Also, I understand that in Delhi, the cost of acquisition has to be calculated as per the circle rate on 1/4/2001 even if the property was purchased much before 2001; the actual purchase price cannot be used. If this info is correct then how will the cost on acquisition as on 1/4/2001 be calculated? What is the formula for this calculation?
Year of acquisition is the year the property was transferred to your name. Number of installments has no bearing on cost of acquiring a property. The total amount paid by you, including cost of registration etc determines cost of acquisition.
Yogiji... Please tell me is it possible to get exemption of capital gains partly within f. y 20-21(march'21) and rest amount next financial yr.(21-22) .
If flat has been purchased while project was under construction and possession was 3-4 years later so what will be the acquisition year to consider inflation from? Year of possession or year of deed?
Thanks Yogi JI for the informative video , I wanted to know if I will have sold my resedential plot and bought agriculture land , will I be exmpted from the capital gain ?
impressive video with detailed information. I have 1 question. if a plot was bought and a house constructed. later same sold after 20 years, how the LTCG will be calculated? will the cost of construction be part of cost of improvement. please enlighten
Agar kisi ne plot lekar makaan banaya hai to usko kaise calculate karenge . kya uske liye jo makaan par material laga hai uski receipts saath attatch karni Padegi. Ya construction cost par sqft ke hisaab se calculate ho jayegi. Please iske baare me details see batayega.
Hi, I purchased property under construction via construction linked plan - this means that I’ve to consider the gain against each payment made to builder in that respective year - Right? Ex: I bought the property in 2009 with 10% down payment and got possession in 2017. Now selling it in 2024 - so I need to consider each payment which were made from 2009 to 2017 and should consider indexation accordingly - m I right? Pls confirm
Thanks. Sir I had purchased ap lit in 1984-85 and constructed house on it. The completion was done in the year 2007. The house is sold in Feb 2020. How to workout/calculate long term capital gain? If any other information required, kindly let me know. Is the sale of house is shown in the I.T.Return for the F. Y. 2019-20 or (A.Y. 2020-2021) ?
Hi Yogi ji, I have a question on Capital Gain Exception. Section 54F talks about exemption against buying new property. My question is two folds 1) Can the new property be purchased on Spouse name and still claim exception 2) AS the new property is very expensive my son is also selling his property and we plan to buy one large property. so can we both claim exemption?
hi sir while selling old residential property who is supposed to bear all taxes stamp revenue registrations fee etc . also will it be possible to sold house at one state city and buy agricultural land in some village of other city ?
Respected Sir, Your explanation pertaining to the Long Term Capital Gain is too good. Sir, I have one question for you. If i am supposed to have long term capital loss from the sale of property, is still compulsory to open a Capital Gains Savings Account to deposit the sale proceeds amount or is it okie to deposit the sale proceeds of the property in my existing normal savings account.
Hi Mukul ji, Plot ke badle plot le sakte hai kya? aur LTCG bachane k liye Plot bech kar (9 lakh) amount ka, purane ghar ka extention ya renovation show kar sakte hai kya (complete 9 lakh ka including boundary wall). Please suggest.

You have no other option, you have to find the FMV of property as on 01.04.2001 & then indexation will apply
Very very expressive presentation sir. Thank you
I hope this will be helpful Avi :)
