How did the British occupation of Manila affect history?
Prof. Jose Victor Torres of the De La Salle University says the British occupation, which only lasted some twenty months, proved to be "fatal" to the Spanish colonization.
"The vulnerability of the colonial empire came out. They were not as strong as they seemed to be," Torres said, eventually bringing forth the nationalist movement.
