I think there's a bit too much going on in these videos: feedback patches, attempt on building NN with a couple of analog circuits, Serge, marxism, conceptual musical systems... Despite all the marxist trends these days, I think it's an outdated philosophy, because of at least three reasons: 1) we are facing problems that were not much in the discussion in the 20th century 2) the attitude was 100% optimistic then vs 100% pessimistic now (for instance, the death of scientific progress, as stated in the latest editions of Der Spiegel) 3) nobody knows how to get there other than by force or under compulsion. I think, the model is an utopia, same as the Locke's one, not because it's not well-thought, but because it's based on the environment over individual and not vice-versa - individual over environment. These problems were generalised and conceptualised in existentialism philosophy and took further directions and branches. I'd highly recommend dig a bit deeper into the subject. Platon is the one to start from, maybe. But isn't it weird a bit to discuss philosophy in the middle of an insane feedback patch, emitting all sorts of crazy squelches? Ha! Why not? It's definitely in the vain of avant-garde movement! As for the Serge patches, they are very well organised and described! Thank you!
How is it you don't want to sound rude or impolite but you start out saying this channel , a channel with really great and thoughtful content, is a joke or mentally ill. That is small minded, nasty, and offensive on so many levels. While you definitely have a point that any implementation of something approaching a full on neural network in an expansive sense is necessarily limited in a small system that can only make approximations of a couple neurons, that doesn't take anything away from having what amounts to a tiny creature making its sonic movements, even if microscopic relative to larger possible systems in modular synthesis and far beyond; I don't think it is the claim or intention of these videos to be more than what it is; and if you really watched and cared to listen that would have been apparent along with the reason for doing all of this. These videos are well within the logic and spirit not only of Serge users but of something like Nonlinearcircuits in eurorack that makes a Neuron module and discusses its use in similar ways. I'm not sure why you feel the need to be insulting and make a false apology at the end of it. It doesn't make you correct, and it isn't generally something done by intelligent people with good intentions.
You seemingly do not know about analog computing. The first artificial neurons were created with analog (linear) tech. Two neurons does make a NN albeit a small one. The talk of neurons is due to the fact these (analog) circuits have a summing function and a threshold parameter so each neuron uses it weighted summing inputs to determine an output. So, not reinventing the wheel, using the original wheel and yes it functions as needed for the purpose. And yes you did sound rude and impolite (just the beginning of your post). Perhaps you have not seen the first few vids where the generalized explanation is? You say that you have but it seems that you haven’t understood the analog neuron function. “Seems” if i’m wrong, apologies.
Buddy I have got schizophrenia it is not something you feel I hear and see things other people can’t. Just to clarify something about your comment analogue is now very powerful not like these old designs a lot of this gear is based on. The capacity of memory or ram possible is over trillions of time’s larger than an old analogue computer used to be. In fact most of your comment was a waste of my life and time so much so that I can’t be bothered answering the confusing ramble you started!
I made my Benjolin. And Serge panels.
Love banana patching, and stereo output ❤❤
Might have to get one of those.
These are great. Thought provoking ways to conceptualize patches. That is real synth programming.
Lovely!
Nothing wrong with commodity fetish; our predicament is the only path forward
Excellent

Oh I know this voice
I ask you to make more videos with smooth stepped generator! Ok?

Dude, chill
