Coasters worked out well--I agree with the comment below--could decorate the clock with ghosties and pumpkins.
Maybe you could take a silver marker and highlight the pattern before hand

Awesome save Michelle, it's too bad that the paper didn't work out and the clock didn't work out, I think it would have been salvagable if it hadn't formed air bubbles
I think the issue is the resin is filling in the cracks in the felt so I think you need to set it on already hardened resin so that you don't have liquid resin filling in the cracks and you may have to put some sort of barrier between the back of the felt and a back coat of resin so resin doesn't soak through the Back of the felt.

I have several pieces that didn’t turn out as expected…I hang on to them meaning to repurpose ….then I save it and save it…then I toss it! It takes me about 6 months (sometimes longer), to go through this process. Ha! At least you saved the coasters. You also both entertained me this morning! Thank you. 💕

The clock may not have come out like you were hoping but actually still looks pretty cool. I think you could leave it as is or embellish it as spooky or night (shadows) themed. The coasters look pretty.

You could colour the front of the clock with your markers or some paint, or cover in sparkles ❤

Keep your clock as a weight. Fill in The hole with left over resin & use as a weight for other projects

It was too bad there were so many bubbles in the clock. One of two you could have saved the clock by drilling into the bubbles and filling them with uv resin. I learned that trick from Wendy ( toonpish ). I have used that bubble hack on a couple of my smaller pieces and it works brilliantly

When you think about it 🤔 the clock might have been not thicker but area-wise bigger. The area that had the air must have been cured more. Like when a coaster hardens in the center faster. It wasn't anyone's fault. It was just chemistry and physics that worked against you.
Also I can't wait to see how that glass mat works. I've been looking at those. OK! I've been drooling over them. Beth has one and I got curious and started looking at them. 😅 So keep us updated on how it does.

I actually liked the clock, so Halloweenie! The coasters were fall cute, too. Maybe you could UV some glitter in the felt pattern lines? I thought the pattern didn't come out because the resin made everything shiny. I saw another creator UV his flowers, leaves, and shells before adding them to keep them from floating and adding bubbles. You might could try that to end the floaties?

The felt changed because the resin made the matte part shiny. The shiny lines were hidden. Hope I'm making sense. I was telling you, but you weren't listening to me. 😂😅

Well, it was a great save on the coaster,but I have an idea for using this material again how about setting the material down and outlining in a gold leaf pen the design before you stick it in the resin do you think that would work? I think Don is hilarious if this were my husband, he’d be correcting how I was doing something even if he didn’t watch your videos lol 😆

Great save on the coasters, Michelle. I felt so bad for Mr. Glitz but I so get it. Maybe next time his project will turn out ok. I don't think there was anything wrong with his galaxy pendants. Matter of fact I liked them a lot. Michelle , can you explain again how you set your heat mat up ? I bought the glass leveling board. Do you put that over your heat mat & use it that way? I am still learning , baby steps with the regular resin. I got my heat mat , I got my glass leveling board & I got my silicone mats. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you. I just purchased glass heat mats. On the other ones I had the heat mat on top of my counter and a piece of glass on top of the mat (because my mat eventually warped). If it’s flat you can put a piece of silicone over the mat.

It can go on either one as long as your leveling board is glass.

I know nothing about resin, I barely know my way around UV resin, but... just a question... would it have helped if you sprayed the clock with alcohol before putting the velvet piece on?
I thought the clock came out looking like a black Camo design. 🤷🏼♀
The coasters, very lovely!
Unfortunately no, alcohol is used to eliminate the bubbles that would form while pouring the resin in any mold. This was just too cured in certain spots and didn’t adhere to the resin😥
