How to fix a stuck electric car seat

- This is a repair for a 2007 Chrysler Town and Country. Your repair may be slightly different.
The drivers seat in my van has electric adjustments for forward/backward, up/down, and tilt. I needed to move my drivers seat all the way forward to stow the captain seat in the floor behind my seat. When I tried to use the electric adjustment to move the seat back it was stuck and wouldn’t move. The motor would make a sound but the seat would not move.
Hopefully these instructions are helpful to you and your repair is as simple as this.
Sure, that MOVES the seat. However, it does NOT "fix" the problem. You need to re-title this video to "How to MOVE a stuck seat>" Just saying...
Thanks, was able to get the seat set so I can drive it. Not sure how to fix the actual problem though, maybe a bad motor? Not todays problem
Thank you thank you! I'm 67 years old and hubby can't help anymore...my seat in our van got seriously stuck as far front as it would go. Your video..I watched 3 times...I gotta say...it worked slick! Just like you said...I was thrilled. Less than 10 minutes and that included dragging a chair out to the van. 🤣...thank you!!!!
Mine won't move up
Wish mine was that simple! With my luck, my 04 Camry needs a whole new motor! I'm a petite female, and can't reach the pedals, as it's stuck all the way back! Thanks for the vid!
While this is a good temporary fix, I would like to know how to actually fix the seat so it can be moved as the seat was originally designed to move. I don’t think Dodge envisioned a power drill must be used each time the seat is to be moved. Like @AGreaterAmerica said, this headline needs to be retitled.
Gods work appreciate u
Thank you so much. The exact thing happened and I was freaking out because there was no way I can drive like this way.. Then I found your video and you saved the day.
I was lucky. Just gave several kicks at the side of seat and problem solved, alhamdulillaah 😅😅
