Since they were naked and their clothes were destroyed they went straight to the nurses office and were provided the uniforms by her. From my knowledge, Japanese students are supposed to wear their regular uniform and the track suit is only to be worn during their athletic period or on school athletic days.

Mate on the right knows what's up. Have you even seen Momo the last several episodes? She's totally into Okarun now, or else she wouldn't be getting jealous - among many other things.
Who would stop liking their current crush because some guy they fancied when they were like six years old showed up at their doorstep? It doesn't make any sense if you think about it for a second lol.
This setup is good, though, because it lets the show explore Okarun's feelings of jealousy and his insecurities after Momo had her own turn with that.
That's exactly what would happen if this was a western show.

I think their relationship is more complex than that.
Like previously, Okarun was just happy to have a friend, not because she was a girl or that she was cute. He was just happy to have a friend.
For Momo, there is a shared trauma - the last few days, they had to fight off multiple ghosts/spirits and aliens. New found shared interests in ghost and aliens. There is also a part where Momo is Okarun’s first and only friend - there is certain pride in that; and she was very protective when Aira bad mouthed Okarun. Finally, not sure if it is love yet, but from the first episode, when they were in a life and death situation, Okarun did everything he could to protect her - that’s got to touch anyone.

High school uniforms in Japan today are largely based on European naval uniforms. Boys wear the standardized white dress shirt and black slacks, while the girls wear the sailor dress top with bows and pleated skirts. Boys will also wear the black coat with 5 brass buttons come autumn. There will be variations between schools, and sometimes, some schools will instead have uniforms based on British boarding school standards with ties and coats, instead of the naval uniforms.
