New Moon On Monday is one DDs best songs.....period. It's not the chart topper that gets replayed on the air nowadays, but it's just a dann good song. Truth.
He did have vocal chord surgery in the late 80s, I think it was. Same type of procedure Adele had. They both sound great without cracking. You could hear the difference in the Live Aid version of A View to a Kill. Simon used to struggle hitting the high notes. After the surgery that issue was taken care of.
I'm just happy Andy is on this and the 5 are back together, it was always these guys who where Duran. Just remember them being at the top of their game when the original song was in the charts brought back a lot of memories for me. As a Brummie lad in my teens in the late 70's early 80's going to Barbarella's, Top Rank, John Bright street and up to Broad St passed Leelong furniture store to go to the Runner . No I hardly ever got in on a Friday only when my older brother was there did I as he was friends with some of the staff and Roger who worked for a while in the cloakroom. We thought the city was the center of the world when these guys where flying high on the Radio and TV this version brought back so much optimism and memory of my youth. I wonder where all those people I met back then are now, great times they really where only later did you realize it, nice recover lovely outro when bass, guitar come together.
Simon's voice is unbelievably good for his age, and their relatively recent album Future Past (2021) is arguably their best of the ones I've owned. (And I was a fan in the early-to-mid '80s.)
I just turned 59 and this is 1 of my best presents ever!! Love the original and love this even more as I think it sounds brilliant with today's technology. Feels great to feel young again..! ❤ Thanks Duran Duran!!

They are the best live band I've ever heard, then and now. Saw them in the Oakland Coliseum on the Reflex tour and most recently at the The KaaBoo festival 3years ago.
I was formerly more of a Spandau Ballet in the early 80s but by the end of the decade I had already surrendered to DD’s music… (it all began with this tune and increased after Arcadia’s So red the Rose and the Notoriuous releases). To have this revamped is a GIFT for all DD’s fans. Love you guys

He is a young man but he still keeps his youthful voice. Not to mention the instrumental playing which is masterful. This is more than a 10 out of 10, it surpasses everything. It is a beauty what they did. They should make a video. NEW MOON deserves to be in the music charts

I pretty much had all their albums on cassette and, being part of a military family, would listen to them endlessly whenever we traveled to the next base. TH-cam has been recommending me a lot of Duran Duran content lately and I'm loving it.
