@@happyears21694Sam is the most underrated guitarist on the planet. This is likely because he oversimplifies everything live and still fucks it up; however, the phrases and melodies he has been able to construct on their albums have been some of the greatest pieces of music I've personally ever heard.
@@happyears21694 Sam goes to considerable lengths to stay out of the spotlight. I just discovered this album, so glad someone covered not only both guitar parts but with tabs posted. You're a bro. Regarding the cover itself... this is fucking insanity. So much respect, I've never even seen some of these techniques. One of those videos that readjusts your idea of what's even humanly possible on an instrument.
This is one of the most impressive physical feats ive ever seen, the precision, coordination and speed required to pull this off is absolutely outstanding, even though this isn't recorded live it is still an absolutely insane performance. This is an almost Olympic level song to play.
Wow thank you haha. Working on my TTFaF full cover now, production quality is gonna be better than this. Then hopefully I'll be getting around to covering all of Inhuman Rampage and Ultra Beatdown
Yes! So true that this is an Olympic level guitar song to play. DragonForce songs are not ordinary guitar songs; they are in a class of their own. Def not for us mere mortals! Don't know how old the kid is but he obviously can shred it like Sargento...
@@HalfDuckcan't wait for revolution deathsquad, that song is my favorite dragonforce song and my holy grail of shred guitar. Nobody's ever done a coherent transcription of the solos
@@marcinmcula99I’ve just covered that song. I’ve got to say it’s the most accurate version I’ve ever seen. I’m just working on the video now. You wanna listen? I can send you the google drive link
I knew it was an pedal effect!! No way a real guitarist would tap that part like guitar hero players do! But I couldnt find anyone else using a slapback delay on YT with this type of playing.
This part in the song gives me freaking chills every time. Damn, I would love to master harmony. I have a little notebook on all the examples of harmony that I've seen and the differences as well as similarities between the two parts.
I can't even play wrong notes that fast LMAO. Also I love how we have a user named "HALF DUCK" doing DragonForce covers. Haha 😂. I have a ton of respect for people who play instruments and this was REALLY WELL DONE. 👌👌👌
I think I remember Herman say during a livestream whatever we can't play live we aren't playing it. They want to play exactly as heard on the album. Thats probably why they never play Revolution Deathsquad anymore or Troopers of The Stars. It's cause of the damn Slapback/Tapping segments and they want to play the songs exactly as heard on the albums. So I guess we'll never see those 3 songs live (again) 😓
I dunno, they could just playback those parts if they wanted to, like the tapping parts in Fury Of The Storm. Or Sam could tremolo pick it like he did in 2009 with Revolution Deathsquad lol
No he said it's kinda pointless to practice those hard songs if people who came to the concert doesnt even enjoy the songs, so they just stick with the well known ones instead
Cool! I like your playing a lot haha. I once asked you where is your "Valley of the Damned" cover video because I really liked the instrumental version doing the vocal melody on the guitar. Hope it is private and not deleted. btw you really nailed the clean solo!
@@HalfDuck 2 years late, but yeah that's true. There aren't many times Herman has structured playing, aside from dual solos (that Sam plays in studio) and The Flame of Youth intro, that he messed up the only time he played it live LOL
By the way man, have you ever thought trying "trashed, lost and strung out" solo from COB? That was my favourite and Alexi unfortunately never played it on stage exactly as the band recorded the album long time ago. Just wondering
Hermans solo comes in at 2:08 till the end. The rest of the solo is purely Sam, I believe And Inside The Winter Storm would be great, any of the non-singles from UB really
I see why Dragonforce doesn't perform this live. They literally just sexually assaulted their guitars ( especially Sam Totman lol he killed it with that tapping) to make this track and they would get arrested if they do this live lol 🤣 all jokes aside this is the best cover I've ever seen . It's practically studio quality . Barely heard a difference between the 2 . Freaking amazing. It's definitely one of their hardest solos they've ever made . Masterpieces. So many techniques so many sound changes in one song lol . Definitely one of their best songs.
I don't have perfect pitch, just good relative pitch. Just working things out one note at a time haha. DragonForce reuses a lot of licks, so you figure it out faster after a while
People don't realize this is literally the hardest song from DragonForce, it would be awesome if you did the whole song.
FR, everybody thinks TTFF is the hardest song but it is noooot... this on the other hand not even Herman Li can played... yet
@@aNOOBmeister And he will probably never play it...

It would have to be simplified a bit to be played live
You have the tightest Dragonforce covers on TH-cam man. Keep shredding man 🤘🤘🤘
Robin Ethan is there too
Wackity_wookity Indeed
I've been waiting years to see someone play the clean solo at 1:49. Thank you!!
Same here! There’s one low quality video of a guy doing it but he was the only one so far
Ptm esa mierda está de locos 😭😞
The sickest part
Wow. I’ve never seen that solo executed so perfectly.
Hearing the songs itself is a thing, seeing this is another thing, great job buddy.
Omg a delay pedal during the tapping! I never realized!
