My biggest hot take is that I personally think that Spider Man Into the Spider Verse is the most overrated Spider Man film. I felt nothing towards this movie. The pacing was inconsistent, it starts off well, it meanders in the middle and by the end it felt rushed. I couldn’t get invested in Miles’ arc, I liked him but I didn’t really connect with him and honestly Spider Noir, Peni and Spider Ham were completely pointless
My really big hot take is that the star wars prequels are amazing and revenge of the sith is the best one. People hated on christensens acting, but I thought his facial features were so compelling and the whole story of ROTS is so tragic but greatly thought out.

I watched Dune for the first time at the theater and thought it was ok (6/10). Then I rewatched it on HBO Max and absolutely loved it and I thought it was the second best film of the year and one of the best films of the decade (9.5/10). I highly recommend that you rewatch Dune!
lmao i watched it in theaters and thought it was pretty good (7.5/10) but when i watched it on prime video few days ago i realized the visuals and spectacle really do carry and its solid but far from great (6.5/10) honestly the film is too long to sit through anyways and the story itself was a bit hard to understand for me as a 14 year old, a bit too mature and not my type.

Here are some of my hot takes: 1) La La Land is stunning on a technical level but I don’t find it as special as everyone else does. 2) A24 should be the only company to produce horror movies today. Blumhouse be gone! 😂 3) Tomorrowland and Reminiscence are some of the most underrated sci-fi movies I’ve seen in recent years. 4) I respect A Quiet Place on a technical level and it’s thrills are well made but I can never connect to the story or characters. 5) Child’s Play is incredibly overrated. 6) Cruella and The Jungle Book are the only Disney live action reboots I can tolerate. 7) Dunkirk is beautifully directed but it’s nowhere near Nolan’s best work. 8) Nobody is the best John Wick clone to come out so far. 9) Alita: Battle Angel is Robert Rodriguez’s best work in recent years. 10) The original Halloween is iconic but it should’ve been a one and done and not spawn a franchise.
For some reason my parents think Alita is my favorite movie of all time 😂 Fair enough because I wouldn't shut up about the movie when it came out. To this day I still think the movie is a masterpiece and it's in my top 10 favorite movies of 2019 list. Also, it IS the best Robert Rodriguez movie.

Here are a couple of my hot takes: - Not a movie but a show, SW Rebels is very overrated. The characters are very basic except for like Kanan, Thrawn, and the CW characters. It tries to appeal to the older audiences but is way too kiddy. - Toy Story 4 is not good and never should have been made. Imo, Woody should never have left Bonnie to be without an owner. - Lastly, the first Rocky is a snooze fest. I don’t think it’s bad but I was so bored for most of the runtime. I haven’t seen any of the others in the franchise but I want too, especially after seeing the Creed III trailers but at the same time I don’t feel very motivated to watch them all after the first one
WALL•E is underrated. I can list some Pixar movies that are more overrated than WALL·E: Toy Story A Bugs Life Finding Nemo Cars Finding Dory Cars 3 Incredibles 2 Toy Story 4 To me, WALL·E is an environmental movie done right. It shows instead of tells, that’s why there’s not much dialogue in the first half of the movie. On top of great visuals and humor, it showcases how humanity is complacent with using technology to do everything to where they are controlled by it while earth and their lives are going to waste.

the X thing hurt my soul. but this is why i think it is good. all the characters are likably. the villain motives. are really sad because the film deals with the topic of ageing. and not being sexually wanted.
This will probably upset some people, but I think the Batman is better than the Dark Knight. I see some of the positives of the Dark Knight, but it feels like the movie lacks the essence of both Gotham and Batman, two details of which the movie should have heavily present. The movie could honestly be passed as a GCPD focused film without too many changes, and the city itself just feels like a Chicago/New York remix. Overall the film only stands out due to high points in the plot, great casting/acting, Nolan’s use of my more practical effects, and the time in cinema that it released. On the other hand, the Batman captures the essence of Batman beautifully, and places you in a Gotham that feels both Gritty and cruel. The plot proceeds to be detailed, intriguing, and involved, while also exploring parts of the Batman lore that are often disregarded or overshadowed. I will acknowledge that the structure of the plot in about the last 40 minutes can seem to drag, but it doesn’t hurt the film too much in my opinion. As for the casting, I was concerned like a lot of people by some of the choices (such as Battinson), but the performances not only worked, they were great. I know some people have a problem with the over brooding, but I feel like that sort of to be expected from someone who dresses like a bat searching for vengeance. There have been rumors of a sequel, and I am expecting to see them grow Bruce’s character into someone who is more personable and in form with what is to be expected. The city itself also felt like a character that had its own personality and conflicts that felt like a massive improvement over past films. Overall, I am excited to see if/when/where they take this universe and character, and if they try I’m sure they can craft a film that not only beats the Dark Knight, but the Batman as well.

I watched Dune for the first time just recently and it's really good. Granted, I was able to follow the politics and understand some of the lore pretty well despite not having read the book. I can definitely understand not liking it if you can't do that. I also think that it went on for too long. I was board to tears the whole time Paul and his mother were in the desert at the end

I felt Avatar was overrated for a long time, but I’ve come around to really appreciating it more and loved the sequel! A Christmas Story…yeah, that kinda hurt. lol One of my favorite movies. One of the best Christmas films in my opinion. Also, I really enjoy the Lion King remake, but I also understand why many people would not.

My reactions to your hot takes Totally agree with Babylon, it is a masterpiece. I was lucky enough to see during my Christmas vacation because it doesn't come out in my country until Wednesday. Bullet Train is a masterpiece, so glad it has a fanbase. Most people hate The Lion King. I don't understand why your subscribers like these live action remake cash grabs. They're godawful and I am not watching The Little Mermaid in theaters. Wouldn't consider it a hot take. Almost everyone hates Love and Thunder and me liking the film is a hot take. I think it's better than Thor 1. Friday the 13th and Nightmare of Elm Street I wouldn't consider them instant classic gems but they're pretty good. Scream and Halloween are way better franchises, especially Scream which is the only horror franchise that doesn't have a film I hate. The worst Scream movie is just average at best. I will admit, Mia Goth is slightly overrated. I still think she gave a great performance but not as top notch as everyone says it is. I only watched X just for Jenna Ortega and I thought she was better than Mia in the film. I really liked X more than Pearl, Pearl is a tad bit overrated. Sorry but I love Wall-E. I like it more than the Toy Story movies which is another hot take I'd add, there are better Pixar movies than the Toy Story franchise (The Incredibles, Monsters Inc, Ratatouille, Soul, Coco, etc) I love all those movies you mentioned, so I disagree. That is a pretty bizarre take. I personally can’t get past how the movie feels like it spends so much of Peters time learning about his parents death, only to virtually drop the whole plot line right after he makes a breakthrough because the film has to end with Spider-Man fighting the “Big Bad”
Here’s my stance on all of this, haven’t seen Babylon, love and thunder sucks but isn’t the worst but close to it, a Christmas story and WALL·E are amazingly well done movies but I get why they can be disliked, and mad max is purely cgi spectacle with violence to get people interested (like avatar)

Yep, Babylon is pretty good, it has place, story, visuals, but it overdoes it here and there. My hot take is that The Wolf of Wall Street is painfully boring, I'd probably choose to watch paint dries for an hour over watching that movie again.

Probably the one that gets me in trouble the most is that I'm not a Spielberg fan. I respect his movies, I'd say most of the ones I've seen are very good, but definitely not among my favorites. The only movie of his I genuienly love is Catch Me If You Can, which is in my top 100 of all time

Hot take marvel ruined cinema, I love marvel, they have made amazing movies it’s just because of the whole universe thing every single studio is taking the things they own and making a cinematic universe and most the time it fails. Like WB tried making a Hana Barbara cinematic universe…. Who asked for that (and it failed)

Here are some of my hot takes: 1. Aladdin 2019 is the superior Aladdin movie to the original. I just find the movie more enjoyable and the new additions are awesome. Yes, Jafar is a downgrade from the original and there is no replacing Robin Williams, but I unironically adore the live action remake of Aladdin. 2. Thor: Love and Thunder is the most underrated MCU movie. This is a total contrast to Chris’ opinion on the movie. Yes, I understand why people don’t like this movie, and I agree there was wasted potential, but for me, the comedy did work and I do find the movie very rewatchable. 3. Life of Brian is overrated. While I do recognize why people love it, I personally didn’t find it that funny and it is a little boring as well. It doesn’t help that Monty Python and the Holy Grail is far superior to this movie in every way. That is a movie that is one of my favorites. 4. Rocky II and Lethal Weapon 2 are both better than their predecessors. For Rocky II, I find the story more satisfying and engaging than the original. For Lethal Weapon 2, I adore the lighter tone, the story, and the addition of Joe Pesci. 5. Amistad is an underrated classic and one of Spielberg’s best movies. I was just surprised how much I was invested in the story. It may be tough to watch, but it is a movie worth watching!
I personally think Aladdin 2019 is meh but if there's anything I'd praise about it, I actually prefer live action Jasmine over animated Jasmine and I think Speechless is better than any of the classic Aladdin songs. Naomi Scott is just perfect.

My biggest hot take is that I personally think that Spider Man Into the Spider Verse is the most overrated Spider Man film. I felt nothing towards this movie.
The pacing was inconsistent, it starts off well, it meanders in the middle and by the end it felt rushed.
I couldn’t get invested in Miles’ arc, I liked him but I didn’t really connect with him and honestly Spider Noir, Peni and Spider Ham were completely pointless
My really big hot take is that the star wars prequels are amazing and revenge of the sith is the best one. People hated on christensens acting, but I thought his facial features were so compelling and the whole story of ROTS is so tragic but greatly thought out.

I watched Dune for the first time at the theater and thought it was ok (6/10). Then I rewatched it on HBO Max and absolutely loved it and I thought it was the second best film of the year and one of the best films of the decade (9.5/10). I highly recommend that you rewatch Dune!
lmao i watched it in theaters and thought it was pretty good (7.5/10) but when i watched it on prime video few days ago i realized the visuals and spectacle really do carry and its solid but far from great (6.5/10) honestly the film is too long to sit through anyways and the story itself was a bit hard to understand for me as a 14 year old, a bit too mature and not my type.

1) La La Land is stunning on a technical level but I don’t find it as special as everyone else does.
2) A24 should be the only company to produce horror movies today. Blumhouse be gone! 😂
3) Tomorrowland and Reminiscence are some of the most underrated sci-fi movies I’ve seen in recent years.
4) I respect A Quiet Place on a technical level and it’s thrills are well made but I can never connect to the story or characters.
5) Child’s Play is incredibly overrated.
6) Cruella and The Jungle Book are the only Disney live action reboots I can tolerate.
7) Dunkirk is beautifully directed but it’s nowhere near Nolan’s best work.
8) Nobody is the best John Wick clone to come out so far.
9) Alita: Battle Angel is Robert Rodriguez’s best work in recent years.
10) The original Halloween is iconic but it should’ve been a one and done and not spawn a franchise.
For some reason my parents think Alita is my favorite movie of all time 😂 Fair enough because I wouldn't shut up about the movie when it came out. To this day I still think the movie is a masterpiece and it's in my top 10 favorite movies of 2019 list. Also, it IS the best Robert Rodriguez movie.

1. I agree with you - Babylon is wonderful. However, I also believe it’s not only the best film of the decade so far, but one of the best films of the century
2. Fantastic Mr. Fox is better than at least 95% of Pixar films
3. Marvel needs to stop making movies - all of them feel the same and at this point they are just boring to me.
4. Dark Knight is the worst in the trilogy, though still 10/10
5. Once Upon a time in Hollywood is the worst Tarantino film. The plot is extremely thin and it is way too long for its own good
6. The Witch is Robert Eggers’ best film
7. Prometheus is one of the worst films of all time
I agree with most of your takes here especially your take about Avatar 1, Avatar 2, and Dune. Imo they are wildly overrated and just alright films that are overhyped by the sells.
Here are a couple of my hot takes:
- Not a movie but a show, SW Rebels is very overrated. The characters are very basic except for like Kanan, Thrawn, and the CW characters. It tries to appeal to the older audiences but is way too kiddy.
- Toy Story 4 is not good and never should have been made. Imo, Woody should never have left Bonnie to be without an owner.
- Lastly, the first Rocky is a snooze fest. I don’t think it’s bad but I was so bored for most of the runtime. I haven’t seen any of the others in the franchise but I want too, especially after seeing the Creed III trailers but at the same time I don’t feel very motivated to watch them all after the first one

To me, WALL·E is an environmental movie done right. It shows instead of tells, that’s why there’s not much dialogue in the first half of the movie. On top of great visuals and humor, it showcases how humanity is complacent with using technology to do everything to where they are controlled by it while earth and their lives are going to waste.

the X thing hurt my soul. but this is why i think it is good. all the characters are likably. the villain motives. are really sad because the film deals with the topic of ageing. and not being sexually wanted.
This will probably upset some people, but I think the Batman is better than the Dark Knight.
I see some of the positives of the Dark Knight, but it feels like the movie lacks the essence of both Gotham and Batman, two details of which the movie should have heavily present. The movie could honestly be passed as a GCPD focused film without too many changes, and the city itself just feels like a Chicago/New York remix. Overall the film only stands out due to high points in the plot, great casting/acting, Nolan’s use of my more practical effects, and the time in cinema that it released.
On the other hand, the Batman captures the essence of Batman beautifully, and places you in a Gotham that feels both Gritty and cruel. The plot proceeds to be detailed, intriguing, and involved, while also exploring parts of the Batman lore that are often disregarded or overshadowed. I will acknowledge that the structure of the plot in about the last 40 minutes can seem to drag, but it doesn’t hurt the film too much in my opinion. As for the casting, I was concerned like a lot of people by some of the choices (such as Battinson), but the performances not only worked, they were great. I know some people have a problem with the over brooding, but I feel like that sort of to be expected from someone who dresses like a bat searching for vengeance. There have been rumors of a sequel, and I am expecting to see them grow Bruce’s character into someone who is more personable and in form with what is to be expected. The city itself also felt like a character that had its own personality and conflicts that felt like a massive improvement over past films. Overall, I am excited to see if/when/where they take this universe and character, and if they try I’m sure they can craft a film that not only beats the Dark Knight, but the Batman as well.

I watched Dune for the first time just recently and it's really good. Granted, I was able to follow the politics and understand some of the lore pretty well despite not having read the book. I can definitely understand not liking it if you can't do that. I also think that it went on for too long. I was board to tears the whole time Paul and his mother were in the desert at the end

Friday the 13th and Nightmare of Elm Street I wouldn't consider them instant classic gems but they're pretty good. Scream and Halloween are way better franchises, especially Scream which is the only horror franchise that doesn't have a film I hate. The worst Scream movie is just average at best.
I will admit, Mia Goth is slightly overrated. I still think she gave a great performance but not as top notch as everyone says it is. I only watched X just for Jenna Ortega and I thought she was better than Mia in the film. I really liked X more than Pearl, Pearl is a tad bit overrated.
Sorry but I love Wall-E. I like it more than the Toy Story movies which is another hot take I'd add, there are better Pixar movies than the Toy Story franchise (The Incredibles, Monsters Inc, Ratatouille, Soul, Coco, etc)

Here are some of my hot takes:
1. Aladdin 2019 is the superior Aladdin movie to the original. I just find the movie more enjoyable and the new additions are awesome. Yes, Jafar is a downgrade from the original and there is no replacing Robin Williams, but I unironically adore the live action remake of Aladdin.
2. Thor: Love and Thunder is the most underrated MCU movie. This is a total contrast to Chris’ opinion on the movie. Yes, I understand why people don’t like this movie, and I agree there was wasted potential, but for me, the comedy did work and I do find the movie very rewatchable.
3. Life of Brian is overrated. While I do recognize why people love it, I personally didn’t find it that funny and it is a little boring as well. It doesn’t help that Monty Python and the Holy Grail is far superior to this movie in every way. That is a movie that is one of my favorites.
4. Rocky II and Lethal Weapon 2 are both better than their predecessors. For Rocky II, I find the story more satisfying and engaging than the original. For Lethal Weapon 2, I adore the lighter tone, the story, and the addition of Joe Pesci.
5. Amistad is an underrated classic and one of Spielberg’s best movies. I was just surprised how much I was invested in the story. It may be tough to watch, but it is a movie worth watching!
I personally think Aladdin 2019 is meh but if there's anything I'd praise about it, I actually prefer live action Jasmine over animated Jasmine and I think Speechless is better than any of the classic Aladdin songs. Naomi Scott is just perfect.

I think dune was not any good and also avatar 1 should have stayed as a stand alone film because in the second one as you said it’s avatar but no new story and the main charecter Jake sully isn’t even the main charecter in avatar 2 but that’s my little hot take loved the video keep up the work my dude

Hate is a strong word lol....I just don't care for Princess Bride or Fightclub. I thought the Village was great. The Lost World is a great sequel to Jurrasic Park. (i actually watch it more, its like a Alien vs Aliens situation). Frozen 2 > Frozen. Hereditary and Quiet Place were good but way way over-hyped. Will Ferrell pretty much plays the same kind of character in every film he is in.
