Good news, Chris! After your previous hot takes video and my previous statement about La La Land, I rewatched it and it is a lot better than I remember. The cinematography and the score are still phenomenal, but I liked the characters a lot more the second time around. The ending is also very well done. I would now give La La Land a 8.5-9/10

Hot take the Lord of the Rings has the best characters for a trilogy ever! Every character that died I was so sad for, when I watched them as a kid I was bored out of my mind in the rewatch I was sick and had the most fun I had every had while being sick!
My personal hot take: The entire MCU is just an advertisement for the Marvel brand. There is barely any artistic, thematic, or literary merit to why they are even classified as "cinema". Each installment is a 2-3 hour trailer for the next release. They are nothing but products spit out by a corporate machine.
Mando season 2 is unbeatable, but my hot take is that season 3 wasn’t bad and it’s actually better then season 1. Season 1 is cool but it’s pretty much only fetch quests. Season 3 also has fetch quests but it implements a bunch of other awesome stuff like grogu with ig-11, Gideon with his mandalorian armor suit, the mythosaur, it gave bo-katan a cool arc and last but not least, it enhanced the sequel trilogy because now we understand how the first order rose to power (the new republic was incompetent) PLUS THE FINALE WAS AWESOME and the scene with grogu and din in their new house was beautiful.
Hot take for Part 3: Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindelwald is miles better than Secrets of Dumbledore. Ezra Miller has no business still being in this franchise, Depp's Grindelwald was a better portrayal (but maybe writing had something to do with it here), and generally just forgettable - I haven't seen Crimes of Grindelwald in 5 years, but I remember more of it than I remember what happened in Secrets of Dumbledore (which I saw almost a year ago).
Hot take: Falcon and Winter soldier is the best Marvel tv show on Disney plus Second hot take: Christian bale was a pretty good Bruce Wayne but his Batman was not good at all

Far from home is IMO much better than homecoming. Most people would say other wise high I don’t understand. Far from home felt more like a Spider-Man film than homecoming and even had better action and Peter just felt like a better character.
Revenge is my favorite, Empire is a better movie and a close second. I dislike Return of the Jedi, if you can tell me Luke’s plan and justify the Ewok’s inclusion, I might change my mind. Love the Palpatine and Vader scenes though, really sells the movie.

Ben Affleck is the best Batman, and Cavill is super overrated as Superman. I way prefer Tyler Hoechlin. He feels much more like Clark, while Cavill feels only like Kal-El. I loved the Snyder cut, but it feels like he was just thrown in there to stop Steppenwolf, without an emotional draw in the story.

I also enjoy all of the actors’ performances, Ralph Fienes in particular. I’m just frustrated about the director’s treatment of that amazing book and how he joked about cutting it ruthlessly, leaving out key plot threads that could enable viewer experiences. That being said, still probably in my top a hundred movies of all time because I’m a hypocrite. Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it!

my friend says the original trilogy (SW) is bad and the prequels are good he's reason is Original Trilogy doesn't have a good budget the story is bad and they got the same person till play 50 diffrent troopers he would rather have bad cgi then the same person who looks real
Star Wars is not a great franchise. Sure they are some great highs in it Being the Original trilogy, Mandalorian, like a 50% of clone wars, Rogue One, and Jedi Fallen order. But other that everything else goes from straight up bad to mediocre. I’ve grown up Star Wars just like many but, a franchise can’t be called great if more half of it is bad.
Hot Take: Forrest Gump, The Matrix, and Elf to me are overrated. Forrest Gump is too cheesy for me, I really don’t like the fact that the main character just kinda coasts through life for most of the movie, and I feel like Tom Hanks just kind of plays the same character in most movies he’s in, so there’s that. I really don’t like The Matrix because the characters are too forgettable for me, excluding Morpheus and the villain played by Hugo Weaving; not just that, but I don’t really care for the story, the action and concept are both cool, but I never really liked the movie if I’m being honest. Elf is just another Will Farrell movie but on Christmas. He’s too annoying for me, maybe it’s cause Home Alone and A Christmas Story are also not for me cause they’re too cheesy in my opinion.

@ Well coasting is what it felt like to me, even if I’m wrong. It still doesn’t change the fact that I didn’t find his character interesting, or the story for that matter. It just felt like a dude going through a bunch of important events from history, he doesn’t learn from the Vietnam War, he doesn’t learn anything when he met JFK, he doesn’t learn anything when he played table tennis. I just didn’t feel invested in what he was going through, even if they are important events. It didn’t feel like there was a story, maybe I’m wrong, but it also feels like he just kind of sees Jenny every now and then. I know they were a couple, but I didn’t feel anything for Jenny when she died in the way Forrest did in the movie. She died and then I was like “Ok” she wasn’t interesting or developed for me to care really, I know they did a lot with her character but I still didn’t feel sad for her. Forrest was the only one we were following, and I didn’t really find his character interesting, I know people find him more charming than interesting, but I didn’t feel like he learned anything by the end. Once again it’s my experience with the movie, that being said, I’m impressed they packed so much history in 2 and a half hours, and as a history buff, I found that aspect the most interesting, I also understand why people like this movie, but I couldn’t really connect with it.
