My theory for the door one (the first one) is that casita just couldn’t tell what Antonio would look like when he was older, because Casita temporarily “dies” when the encanto breaks. So once it’s dead, it can’t see an older Antonio in the future and therefore can’t make the door look like him as an adult. Basically casita can’t see the future past it’s “death”.
To add to that: Mirabel's prophecy was also Casita's prophecy. "Your fate is sealed when your prophecy is read." Cz Barnum Effect. Mirabel is the only one who questions the future assigned to her. And Peppa's Hurricane Wedding wasn't one. Casita can't change the future. Only Mirabel can. I'm also perceiving Casita as a living entity that foresaw its own death. Maybe in Bruno's vision.
the director of the movie (jared bush) stated on twitter that the doors change as the family members age so i honestly think it might have been an oversight, but i do like this theory :) another thing that might go along with this is that doors don't have portraits on them at the end anymore once casita is rebuilt and the encanto returns
@@sarahfeng true, yeah! I think the original issue was that even in all the pictures of the Madrigals as kids, their doors had them as adults. So it could just be an oversight, or they just wanted to show the people on the door as how they looked in the movie.

That’s because disney especially recently wants all the characters to look conventionally attractive except their obviously old characters, it was already a struggle to have Luisa keep her muscles and a lot of the main characters got the disney beautifying treatment if you look at their original concept art, I would appreciate disney just letting people age and having more variety than sticking to the same face shapes and facial features just to sell dolls

Actually, Pepa’s son is the one who asks her if she’s okay, and helps her through her emotions. Which really goes to show the generational abuse of it. We are not supposed to dump adult problems onto our children. He shouldn’t have to feel responsible for his moms emotions

So I have what's kinda a dark theory about why Pepa and Felix had Antonio. So as you know Antonio is the baby of the family. But the weird thing is that he is at least 10 years younger than the rest of the kids in the family. Usually this would be considered normal but since all of the parents in the family are triplets it almost put Antonio in a different generation. So I believe that after Mirabel didn't receive a gift Abuela was stressed and since Bruno left she had no way to ensure the magic. So she pressured her daughters to have another kid but since Julieta was Mirable's mom Abuela felt as though the magic had some how stopped coming from Julieta's line . So instead she pressured Pepa into having another kid. Her and Felix gave in and had the kid to please Abuela. (Edit : guys it's just a theory and like everything else it has holes. If you don't like it then you don't have to. That's fine. I am well aware that this is a Disney movie and that this theory is to dark for a kids movie. I'm not stupid. Please don't argue over whether you think it could be true or not. Its really just for fun. )
I think the more reasonable explanation is that both Julieta and Pepa were scared to have another child because they didn’t want another kid to end up like Mirabel.

Re Julietta enabling the dysfunction, my personal headcanon is that part of the reason Isabela is antagonistic to Mirabel is because she feels neglected by their mother. You see in the movie that Julietta and Augustin always take time to reassure Mirabel that she's important to the family. Maybe they did that to the detriment of their older daughters, focusing on Mirabel so much that Isabela felt it wasn't fair. Maybe there were times when Isabela wanted to talk to Julietta about the pressure of being 'the perfect golden child,' but Julietta felt she had to prioritize Mirabel first
In a family where everyone is super powerful and capable, Mirabel is like the disabled in the family due to her not being able to do the things her family can do. Isabella reminded me of the abled siblings of disabled children in families. They often have a lot of pressure to not only be not an additional burden to their parents (by complaining, asking for support or failing to do something), they also have the additional "job" to fulfill the expectations of their parents not only for them but also for the sibling who can't. This doesn't necessarily mean that they don't like their sibling initially or that it is the sibling's fault... it's just overall a complicated situation and lead to the abled child feeling like that sibling is the reason why their life is difficult.
That may happen a lot but not always I'm the youngest and I did not get spoiled because my dad didn't want another kid ( I was an accident) so he made my life hell whenever he deigned to recognize my existence. The trope of youngest is always spoiled is bullshit.

Here is a real life example for clarity on why I hate the youngest sibling is always spoiled trope...People ask if I have siblings and I say yes I'm the youngest and their immediate response is oh you must have been so spoiled... uh no actually I got told to leave as we don't need you you make everything worse, got banned from family events including thanksgiving and Christmas because you were not meant to born its too expensive to buy you presents etc. Then those same people then tell me to my face that I must be remembering it wrong because the youngest is always spoiled everyone knows that. This non birth order privileges or lack of happens to people all the time because of gender, social economic standing at time of birth etc. so yes youngest can be spoiled but sometimes they can be ignored because life got harder for parents etc. I hate the stereotype.

Also, if you're going to color pick (which you shouldn't), at least copy off of the concept art flats instead of a screenshot from the final movie. Lighting affects skin color drastically.
I personally think that Antonio is the only young one on the door because they’re the size they are when they’ll lose their powers: When the house breaks. I don’t think they get their powers back as ‘strong’ as they were initially. So i think the size of the person in the door is based in when they lost their gift. Just my thought ☺️
But how would Casita know it was gonna break when Abuella's children were young? I think it was mostly just a case of them not animating door designs for everyone as children

The eye being only open in Dolores and Bruno's door IS an interesting detail and fits since they are the only ones who are aware of the problems and reality of the Castia and family.
if you have seen en canto, you would know that dolores has a very high hearing sense. she can hear from over a mile away. everyone thought bruno went away, but did he really? if you noticed, in "we dont talk about bruno" she is trying to tell mirabel about her feelings of bruno. she can hear him in the wall, she hears all the sand and rats in the wall every second of the day. she tries to explain to everyone that bruno is not gone, and she can hear him, but they continue to interrupt her. she tries to explain to all of them. ya know, if they listened to dolores she could have been the fixing of the broken gifts. but they didn't. they never listened. hear people out, dont just ignore it and interrupt.
personally, i believe pepas gift is something like a synonym or metaphor of anxiety. you can never stop it from coming. anger or sadness, happiness even may lead to rain or showers. she cant control it. and everyone tells you to calm down and your being over dramatic, and more things like that. and felix is just there for her, like ya feel me? yes i saw someone else do this but i did it my way

I love how the families all have their own theme of colour, like Pepa's fam wear yellow and warmer colours, whereas Julieta's fam wear blue's and cooler colours
She talks about Julieta passing on this pressure to her two oldest children, Luisa and Isabella, but she actually passed it on to all three. Mirabel puts a great deal of pressure on herself. Although, I still think it abuelita applying the pressure.
My husband's theory about the door is that Casita knew when it was gonna die. The entire movie hints to Casita dying and if the family had actually cared to notice about casita's well being then they would of seen. They all look like how they look when the miracle dies. Casita knew all along that abuelas toxicity would lead to the day she died and warned everyone.
"Does anyone ask her about the cloud? Does anyone tell her to feel her feelings?" Actually, yes, Bruno does. And it's great that they have that in the movie, because it shows that Bruno isn't just ostracized because his gift is inconvenient, he's shunned because he's a truth-teller. Whether those truths are "visions" or just telling his sister that her feelings are valid and it's better to express them rather than hide them until they explode. Guess which role I had in my toxic family? Haha...yep. I don't live in the walls, but I moved literally 1000 miles away.
I feel the last Tik Tok. I was sitting there watching it and I legitimately had a moment where there were tears in my eyes. I sat there during that song and I kept asking my brother “Why am I crying!?” I think Encanto really just-..hit me in several places I never knew were so tender. I come from an absolutely MASSIVE family as well (my grandma had 5 kids, 4 sons ((One of which is my dad)) and a daughter.) Each married had 2-3 kids accept my aunt who only has one. We’re most definitely NOT Latin American, but coming from a huge family and being from the “1st round” of grandkids (the oldest) I understand all the pressure that comes with such a big family. My grandma is a lovely woman, and thankfully we still have my grandpa with us too. But I see the dynamics. The ups and downs, the fights, the love, and the roles of everyone. (The Matriarch, gossip/listener, healer/peacemaker, youngest, golden child, black sheep, fun uncle, weird uncle, fun aunt, etc.) Sometimes I feel like Mirabel, caught up in the middle of the family drama and not knowing what the hell is going on; right along with my little brother. Usually my mom keeps us out of most of the family drama, and most times I’m thankful… accept when my brother and I are supposed to be mad at someone and we have no idea why. ya'll do see Bruno walking into frame before dancing in the back of Dolores's verse in We Don't Talk about Bruno, right? Noticed that on my second watch through and thought it was such a nice subtle touch.
For the first theory I thought the image on the door portrayed them when they finally realized that their gifts didn’t define them and the person they were was what was special. I thought Antonio’s image was just him because he already understood that before he even got his gift. That’s why he had that moment with Mirabel where he was afraid that his gift might change him into something he didn’t want to be and he related with Mirabel because she didn’t have a power but was already special. That’s why I bought the “The rats told me everything” scene because he seemed to know better than everyone else that it wasn’t their powers that he loved about his family but them as people.
One of the things that stuck out to me about Pepa in tbe kovie is that she almost always had a stormcloud or a raincloud above her head. She repeats mantras to herself and tries to shoo her thoughts away. I think her gift manifestation represents anxiety. She is contantly trying to keep the storm from bursting and letting other people see her emotions and as consequence can never really breathe or deal with her emotions. She can't confront her problems because that might make it rain.

00:30 so my (dark) theory for why Antonio's door shows him young is because in Bruno's vision shows a door collapsing to the ground and hits Antonio and that's why his door doesn't show him older. But, luckily our beloved Felix saves him before it landed on him. So, my guess maybe his door changed after the was brought back.
6:23 this one hit so hard, too hard. I have always hated phrase “because of you”. They used to put the blame on me whenever there is a problem, even as a child. Instead of telling me what I did wrong, they scold me for something I didn’t even understand. This prolly started about 12 years ago, but their faces and voices when they say this is still vivid. They haven’t done it for the past months (bc I told them about their attitude towards me), but the “trauma” of the said phrase will always be here. When u found out that mirabels voice actor was from in the heights I started to notice that the abuela’s voice when she is singing sounds like the grandma in in the heights. I looked it up and the singing actor is her.
When I was watching Encanto with my siblings my little sister wanted to know how old Bruno was (just random 6 year old questions). I searched it up and I went "HE'S 50???" My wonderful little brother asked me "What? Were you crushing on him?" He really exposed me in such a casual way 😂
In my personal view, I believe Abuelo Pedro was the one who created the encanto and reappeared in the form of butterfly. Butterfly symbolises a departed soul visiting family left behind. Pedro bestowed Alma the miracle candle as a result of his sacrifice to save his family and community so to show his love, a butterfly engrave was on it as a reminder. The butterfly appeared first in front of Pedro and Alma's first encounter and all throughout the movie there were butterflies everywhere in the casita. Pedro never left Alma, he was always with her, protecting, sheltering and giving magical gifts to his family so that nothing will harm them again. To keep the encanto, Pedro chose Mirabel by appearing to "not" have distinctive gift to remind abuela that it is not magic that is important as you see, they have successfully built and created a safe community through abuela's leadership and no one else harms them in their protected village. The mountains broke as a sign that they are free from the outside world.
Right! She and Pedro left to save their lives and raise a happy healthy family. Family was the whole point, not their gifts or what they can provide to the community
For the first one- I think it was Casita's way of forshadowing when Bruno's prophecy about Mirabel would come true. Edit: also the one at 2:20 maybe it's because Dolores knew Bruno was there the whole time?
It was probably just an oversight on Disney's part, but I have a theory about why Antonio is a child on the door, and it's kind of a sad one. Antonio isn't shown as an adult on the door, because he probably won't make it to adulthood, implying that he's going to die young.
I think that her and Brunos eyes were open because it might symbolise how they understand everything and are open to it like they've opened their eyes to their surroundings if you saw you could see Delores eyes in the type of position that normally represents sadness or worry. But idk lol
Maybe because eyes are associated with watching and knowing, and both Bruno's and Doloreses gift give them the ability to know things others can't know?

This isn’t a theory or anything, I just wanted to say. When Mirabel is getting her gift, she touches the candle like every other Madrigal kid has to do. But then she wipes her hands on her shirt- and when she touches the door, she doesn’t get a gift. Didn’t she just wipe the magic of the candle off? My theory for the first tik tok - The reason I think is that when Antonio was climbing the stairs, Mirabel held his hand while doing it. Like she supported him when he was nervous, comforted him about it So he actually felt "Not-Nervous" and his gift was real magic from the encanto, take Lusia and Isabella for fact, in "Surface pressure" and "What else can I do" it is said that they both feel pressured to make this family proud (more like abuéla alma proud) Even if it's against their will, Isabella says she never loved mariáno and lusia admits she needs to "let it out" (And probably the same thing with Bruno and the others)But Mirabel was their for him when he felt like that so he felt comfortable to accept his gift and avoid the truama abuéla alma puts on the family. (Thank for coming to my ranting)

"give it to your sister your sister is stronger!" people saying louisa's name is like they always need something. she is overworked, she likes helping out, but she never gets a break from people who need things lifted. and when people talk to isabela they talk to her with respect and perfection, because isabela is a perfectionist and beautiful. but is it honestly isabela? no. bruno gave her the "life of her dreams" but is that REALLY her dream life? waking up perfect and being adored by many people each day, after day? im pretty sure not.
Bruno doesn't give her the life of her dreams, he foresaw that vision. Isabella leads the life she does because latina daughters do as we're told. We have to fill the image created by our parents. That's why she's not happy... she's living the life abuela and her mom expected her to live. Everybody gets Bruno's gift wrong... he can only see visions, not create them... and they're not exact futures. Visions can still be subjective based on how the person reads into it; hence Pepa and the hurricane on her wedding day. He could've been reading the future Isabella would have after Mirabel became matriarch.
I'm pretty sure what Bruno meant about her "dream life" is the life that she actually wants. A life where she's not constantly afraid of disappointing everyone if she's not perfect. A life where she's free to be who she wants to be. The other lines of the vision she was given "my power's would grow like the grapes that thrive on a vine" is shown later on when she sings "What Else Can I Do". Isabella seems to feel less restricted and creates all sorts of new plants. In a way her powers 'grow' since she now has new capabilities and new ways she could use her gift for.
I love that Julieta has the biggest heart and tries to help and fix it. Two things wrong with that, first it can take a toll on you if you try to fix everyone else's problems. You're automatically the go to especially with their dsyfunctional family dynamic. Secondly, she tries to help or figure a solution out for everyone she ends up ignoring or not hearing her daughter Mirabel out in the movie. Brushed her off basically after Mirabel tried to talk with her about the cracks. All in all love the movie but, that bugged me so much. I could go on about how they're daughter's relationship is ignored as well, but that's a story for another time. 😂🤣

the one about their roles in an abusive family feel like its boiling the characters down to their most basic traits and ignoring the complications of difficult family dynamics that the story was trying to portray. idk it just felt like it was talking down to me as if i didnt also see the movie?? like the whole point is that the family is suffering and everyone is having a unique issue, but they are still a family of good people in the end. even calling the grandmother an abuser feels a little intense given the circumstances. i dont need you to throw in buzz words like gaslight for the story to make sense to me.
I know that Bruno’s eyes were open because when he tells the future he opens his eyes, and I think Dolores eyes were open because she opens her eyes whenever she is putting her hand next too her ear.
I think the reason why Antonio’s door depicts him as young is Casita’s way of hinting the future of her ending at least until Mirabel recreates the magic and the Casita without the enchanted candle. Actually all the magical doors depict the appearance of the gifted members exactly up until the end of the first era of miracle. That was as far as Casita goes; up until EVERYONE reached that ages with that specific appearances as depicted on their own doors
I realized that only pepa’s side sang in we don’t talk about Bruno and I think that it could be, because she was affected by his gift, her wedding was ruined. I think Julietta just missed her brother and it overwhelmed her because she couldn’t fix emotional pain with food so she didn’t talk about her brother at all, since Isabela was the oldest on their side, she had contact with Bruno before he left. That’s just my thoughts.

Going through the comments and found some theories that were all the same so I decided to agree with it, coming from someone who hasn't watched the movie yet, I agree that the reason why Antonio is the same size as him on the door is because all the doors are hints to when they lose their gifts meaning that Antonio lost his gift when he was still a child.

My theory for the door one (the first one) is that casita just couldn’t tell what Antonio would look like when he was older, because Casita temporarily “dies” when the encanto breaks. So once it’s dead, it can’t see an older Antonio in the future and therefore can’t make the door look like him as an adult. Basically casita can’t see the future past it’s “death”.
To add to that: Mirabel's prophecy was also Casita's prophecy.
"Your fate is sealed when your prophecy is read."
Cz Barnum Effect. Mirabel is the only one who questions the future assigned to her. And Peppa's Hurricane Wedding wasn't one. Casita can't change the future. Only Mirabel can. I'm also perceiving Casita as a living entity that foresaw its own death. Maybe in Bruno's vision.

the director of the movie (jared bush) stated on twitter that the doors change as the family members age so i honestly think it might have been an oversight, but i do like this theory :) another thing that might go along with this is that doors don't have portraits on them at the end anymore once casita is rebuilt and the encanto returns

So I have what's kinda a dark theory about why Pepa and Felix had Antonio. So as you know Antonio is the baby of the family. But the weird thing is that he is at least 10 years younger than the rest of the kids in the family. Usually this would be considered normal but since all of the parents in the family are triplets it almost put Antonio in a different generation. So I believe that after Mirabel didn't receive a gift Abuela was stressed and since Bruno left she had no way to ensure the magic. So she pressured her daughters to have another kid but since Julieta was Mirable's mom Abuela felt as though the magic had some how stopped coming from Julieta's line . So instead she pressured Pepa into having another kid. Her and Felix gave in and had the kid to please Abuela.
(Edit : guys it's just a theory and like everything else it has holes. If you don't like it then you don't have to. That's fine. I am well aware that this is a Disney movie and that this theory is to dark for a kids movie. I'm not stupid. Please don't argue over whether you think it could be true or not. Re Julietta enabling the dysfunction, my personal headcanon is that part of the reason Isabela is antagonistic to Mirabel is because she feels neglected by their mother. You see in the movie that Julietta and Augustin always take time to reassure Mirabel that she's important to the family. Maybe they did that to the detriment of their older daughters, focusing on Mirabel so much that Isabela felt it wasn't fair. Maybe there were times when Isabela wanted to talk to Julietta about the pressure of being 'the perfect golden child,' but Julietta felt she had to prioritize Mirabel first
In a family where everyone is super powerful and capable, Mirabel is like the disabled in the family due to her not being able to do the things her family can do.
Isabella reminded me of the abled siblings of disabled children in families. They often have a lot of pressure to not only be not an additional burden to their parents (by complaining, asking for support or failing to do something), they also have the additional "job" to fulfill the expectations of their parents not only for them but also for the sibling who can't.
This doesn't necessarily mean that they don't like their sibling initially or that it is the sibling's fault... it's just overall a complicated situation and lead to the abled child feeling like that sibling is the reason why their life is difficult.
It's like being the oldest/middle child and always seeing the youngest gets spoiled without even asking.
That may happen a lot but not always I'm the youngest and I did not get spoiled because my dad didn't want another kid ( I was an accident) so he made my life hell whenever he deigned to recognize my existence. The trope of youngest is always spoiled is bullshit.

I personally think that Antonio is the only young one on the door because they’re the size they are when they’ll lose their powers: When the house breaks. I don’t think they get their powers back as ‘strong’ as they were initially. So i think the size of the person in the door is based in when they lost their gift. Just my thought ☺️

The eye being only open in Dolores and Bruno's door IS an interesting detail and fits since they are the only ones who are aware of the problems and reality of the Castia and family.
if you have seen en canto, you would know that dolores has a very high hearing sense. she can hear from over a mile away. everyone thought bruno went away, but did he really? if you noticed, in "we dont talk about bruno" she is trying to tell mirabel about her feelings of bruno. she can hear him in the wall, she hears all the sand and rats in the wall every second of the day. she tries to explain to everyone that bruno is not gone, and she can hear him, but they continue to interrupt her. she tries to explain to all of them. ya know, if they listened to dolores she could have been the fixing of the broken gifts. but they didn't. they never listened. hear people out, dont just ignore it and interrupt.

My husband's theory about the door is that Casita knew when it was gonna die. The entire movie hints to Casita dying and if the family had actually cared to notice about casita's well being then they would of seen. They all look like how they look when the miracle dies. Casita knew all along that abuelas toxicity would lead to the day she died and warned everyone.
Maybe the doors shows them as grown up, and maybe Antonio stays short, since there’s no super distinct facial features on the doors

And it's great that they have that in the movie, because it shows that Bruno isn't just ostracized because his gift is inconvenient, he's shunned because he's a truth-teller. I was sitting there watching it and I legitimately had a moment where there were tears in my eyes. I sat there during that song and I kept asking my brother “Why am I crying!?”
I think Encanto really just-..hit me in several places I never knew were so tender. I come from an absolutely MASSIVE family as well (my grandma had 5 kids, 4 sons ((One of which is my dad)) and a daughter.) Each married had 2-3 kids accept my aunt who only has one.
We’re most definitely NOT Latin American, but coming from a huge family and being from the “1st round” of grandkids (the oldest) I understand all the pressure that comes with such a big family. My grandma is a lovely woman, and thankfully we still have my grandpa with us too.
But I see the dynamics. The ups and downs, the fights, the love, and the roles of everyone.
(The Matriarch, gossip/listener, healer/peacemaker, youngest, golden child, black sheep, fun uncle, weird uncle, fun aunt, etc.)
Sometimes I feel like Mirabel, caught up in the middle of the family drama and not knowing what the hell is going on; right along with my little brother. Usually my mom keeps us out of most of the family drama, and most times I’m thankful… accept when my brother and I are supposed to be mad at someone and we have no idea why.

For the first theory I thought the image on the door portrayed them when they finally realized that their gifts didn’t define them and the person they were was what was special. I thought Antonio’s image was just him because he already understood that before he even got his gift. That’s why he had that moment with Mirabel where he was afraid that his gift might change him into something he didn’t want to be and he related with Mirabel because she didn’t have a power but was already special. That’s why I bought the “The rats told me everything” scene because he seemed to know better than everyone else that it wasn’t their powers that he loved about his family but them as people.
One of the things that stuck out to me about Pepa in tbe kovie is that she almost always had a stormcloud or a raincloud above her head. She repeats mantras to herself and tries to shoo her thoughts away. I think her gift manifestation represents anxiety. She is contantly trying to keep the storm from bursting and letting other people see her emotions and as consequence can never really breathe or deal with her emotions. She can't confront her problems because that might make it rain.

When u found out that mirabels voice actor was from in the heights I started to notice that the abuela’s voice when she is singing sounds like the grandma in in the heights. I looked it up and the singing actor is her.

In my personal view, I believe Abuelo Pedro was the one who created the encanto and reappeared in the form of butterfly. Butterfly symbolises a departed soul visiting family left behind. Pedro bestowed Alma the miracle candle as a result of his sacrifice to save his family and community so to show his love, a butterfly engrave was on it as a reminder. The butterfly appeared first in front of Pedro and Alma's first encounter and all throughout the movie there were butterflies everywhere in the casita. Pedro never left Alma, he was always with her, protecting, sheltering and giving magical gifts to his family so that nothing will harm them again. To keep the encanto, Pedro chose Mirabel by appearing to "not" have distinctive gift to remind abuela that it is not magic that is important as you see, they have successfully built and created a safe community through abuela's leadership and no one else harms them in their protected village. The mountains broke as a sign that they are free from the outside world.
Right! She and Pedro left to save their lives and raise a happy healthy family. Family was the whole point, not their gifts or what they can provide to the community
For the first one- I think it was Casita's way of forshadowing when Bruno's prophecy about Mirabel would come true.

It was probably just an oversight on Disney's part, but I have a theory about why Antonio is a child on the door, and it's kind of a sad one. Antonio isn't shown as an adult on the door, because he probably won't make it to adulthood, implying that he's going to die young.
To be quite fair he does have a leopard pet.

The reason I think is that when Antonio was climbing the stairs, Mirabel held his hand while doing it.

So he actually felt "Not-Nervous" and his gift was real magic from the encanto, take Lusia and Isabella for fact, in "Surface pressure" and "What else can I do" it is said that they both feel pressured to make this family proud (more like abuéla alma proud)
Even if it's against their will, Isabella says she never loved mariáno and lusia admits she needs to "let it out"

okay but the 1st time I watched this movie, I was w/ my family, & I fought w/ myself to not cry, bc my little sister was w/ me, & she's a very empathetic & emotional person; if she saw me cry, she'd probably cry too, & I didn't want her to cry. if you have watched en canto, im pretty sure you know isabela and louisa are sisters. and in louisa's song she says, "give it to your sister your sisters older!" "give it to your sister your sister is stronger!" people saying louisa's name is like they always need something. she is overworked, she likes helping out, but she never gets a break from people who need things lifted. and when people talk to isabela they talk to her with respect and perfection, because isabela is a perfectionist and beautiful. but is it honestly isabela? no. bruno gave her the "life of her dreams" but is that REALLY her dream life? waking up perfect and being adored by many people each day, after day? im pretty sure not.
Bruno doesn't give her the life of her dreams, he foresaw that vision. Isabella leads the life she does because latina daughters do as we're told. We have to fill the image created by our parents. That's why she's not happy... she's living the life abuela and her mom expected her to live. Everybody gets Bruno's gift wrong... he can only see visions, not create them... and they're not exact futures. Visions can still be subjective based on how the person reads into it; hence Pepa and the hurricane on her wedding day. He could've been reading the future Isabella would have after Mirabel became matriarch.
I'm pretty sure what Bruno meant about her "dream life" is the life that she actually wants. A life where she's not constantly afraid of disappointing everyone if she's not perfect. A life where she's free to be who she wants to be.
The other lines of the vision she was given "my power's would grow like the grapes that thrive on a vine" is shown later on when she sings "What Else Can I Do". Isabella seems to feel less restricted and creates all sorts of new plants. In a way her powers 'grow' since she now has new capabilities and new ways she could use her gift for.

I love that Julieta has the biggest heart and tries to help and fix it. Two things wrong with that, first it can take a toll on you if you try to fix everyone else's problems. You're automatically the go to especially with their dsyfunctional family dynamic. Secondly, she tries to help or figure a solution out for everyone she ends up ignoring or not hearing her daughter Mirabel out in the movie. Brushed her off basically after Mirabel tried to talk with her about the cracks. All in all love the movie but, that bugged me so much. I could go on about how they're daughter's relationship is ignored as well, but that's a story for another time. 😂🤣

I think the reason why Antonio’s door depicts him as young is Casita’s way of hinting the future of her ending at least until Mirabel recreates the magic and the Casita without the enchanted candle. Actually all the magical doors depict the appearance of the gifted members exactly up until the end of the first era of miracle. That was as far as Casita goes; up until EVERYONE reached that ages with that specific appearances as depicted on their own doors

I realized that only pepa’s side sang in we don’t talk about Bruno and I think that it could be, because she was affected by his gift, her wedding was ruined.
