    (A) How often to you get compared to Norton Buffalo? (B) Is he actually one of your influences, or are any similarities purely coincidental? (C) Are you primarily a tongue-blocker or lip purser, and do you utilize both (as best suits the moment)?
P.S. I'm so glad you found (and commented on) one of my videos...because it led me to discover all _your_ great material. Great to "meet" you!

I’ve never been compared to Norton Buffalo, at least as far as I know.
He isn’t a conscious influence so similarities would be coincidental.
I’m more heavily influenced by Walter Horton, Walter Jacobs, James Cotton, Sonny Terry, and Kim Wilson.
I often lip purse the bottom three holes and tongue block everything else.
      Not always though
      It depends what I’m doing.

@@GrantDermody The more I check out your material, the more _this_ performance in particular seems like a "one off" similarity to Norton Buffalo, and the more I can definitely hear those others legends' influence. Interesting to hear the "geography" of your general purse/block approach. I'm definitely a lip purser, but I often use tongue blocked octaves (and rhythmic chords with sustained tonic notes) in the bottom half of the harp. So many ways to play a seemingly simple...but wildly versatile...instrument.

@@OmniphonProductions Cool thoughts man, thank you for sharing. I agree, there is so much more to playing the harmonica than meets the eye.
