Dude. Watching this, I know how fun this fish was for you! That much effort put into stalking and then finding success! Thoburnia whisperer. 🔥

Indeed it was, thought it would take a lot more effort too but at night it was like picking low hanging apples. Definitely a good thrill of the hunt here though.

Another nice video. Seems like in each of your river videos there is at least one species that I didn't even know existed. Those blackfin suckers sure are cool looking.

Thanks, and that’s part of the joy of micro fishing! Gotta love pulling something up and being absolutely perplexed by what it is.

Yee yee, thanks! Filming a far west FL panhandle vid right now and trying to see if I can sum the whole trip up in one vid.

Love the sunfish! What do use for bait micro fishing? I live in the Cumberland

Good fight and sometimes wicked colors, they are awesome. For this I was picking up rocks in the riffles and using the little juicy caddisflies that cling to them as bait. Mayflies and stoneflies work in a pinch too but are crumbly. Ain’t a bad place to live!

Could you share a link or full citation for the sunfish article?

I knew it felt like I was forgetting something when uploading this lol. The other two sources used are in the description as well now.
