Welcome back! I've been seeing all these species on Instagram, but was longing for some videos. I think your image quality also improved since last time. What camera are you using for those close up shots of the fish? Looking forward to seeing more cool species.
Thanks! Good to portray a few of them in video format. Also, I’m still using the same Iphone SE2 lol. The water here is very clear compared to southeastern creeks so maybe that’s why the close ups look better.
@@IHUNTA That could be it. For some of the shots I was sure your camera was underwater cause it was so clear. Then you'd pull back and I'd realize it was above water the whole time.
I'm new to this. The Fishing Nomad referred me to your channel. Can I ask where you get the information needed to ID the fish you catch? I'm in the MW corner of California and want to fish my salt water. I have a 1983 Peterson guide. Is there anything else I should buy?
Nice, I use the 2016 “A Field Guide to Coastal Fishes from Alaska to California” and it’s very well laid out and comprehensive. If I need to go more in depth to ID a particular species then I search it’s Latin name in Google Scholar and use those sources.
Return of the king!! Awesome vid as always, more diversity in the winter salt than I expected.
Pacific Northwest!!!! Thats a surprise! Super excited to watch this

Thank you, if it was a good negative tide I prolly could have caught double the amount of species at just Jasen Creek.
