That was fun to watch. I was particularly surprised by how well you defended/aggressed on two fronts. I would have thought that if he had pressed all his troops on one front he could have overwhelmed you. The best I could tell is that you made really good use of defensive fortifications to supplement the lack of army on each front.

My friend always watches beastyqt and i always tell him to watch grubby. Now i have a solid case next time i tell him. You could see you played really serious and you immidiatly performed very well

@FollowGrubby 7:30 double hit, both death. You asked if this is even possible? - so many fights or duels endet like this. I´ve once fought in a historical fencing tournament, with a long swort and in the first round, both fighters, have been kicked out, if there was a double hit... from 48 fences only 22 reached the second round. so it is common, even it was mostly not a simultaniasly death in real live.

What a hell of a game! Really, this game came down to the incredible hold around the 30 minute mark. I thought Grubby was toast, Beasty had a massive army pushing into the base, and was wrecking Grubby's buildings. And then 10 minutes later, Grubby had cleaned out the army and had secured the middle.
The rest of the game was very very exciting, but funny enough, was really just a cleanup. Grubby and Beasty just traded armies the rest of the game, but with control of the center Grubby had the edge the entire time. And then once the Chinese full late game (bombards + grenadiers) was unlocked, Beasty just didn't have any real weapons to contend it. Beasty made it a good show with a couple of well timed pushes on the flanks, but at the end of the day Grubby had the better resources and the better army, and so the result was somewhat inevitable.

Huge win. Beautiful bombard micro. Personally, I would have gotten more than a little tilted if I had bungled picking up that relic in the middle there. Late-game Chinese are no joke.
