@rohandalvi gotta say that means a lot coming from you. Your tutorials have brought me and countless others so far along, thank you for all that you do!
Getting this error when adding Autorigcomponent in 20.5: Error: : No transform attribute exists, unable to compute local transforms. Any idea what they've changed?
@@vitalizahar9343 There needs to be a left to right flow with your component script setup, so you can’t really take different chains and merge them together like you can in sops. But, there is a new node - my favorite new node actually - called graph::merge. Create a graph::template node, through whatever you want into it, then use graph::merge to throw your custom graph setup directly into your rig graph. Super useful.
wow, thanks this is awesome, I tried to do something in apex but I'm not that good at rigging. One suggestion I see that you are in a 21:9 monitor, record it in your monitor resolution, because I'm in a 21:9 too and the image is like 2/3 or something .
At the moment there's no component that makes a finished rig from a Mixamo skeleton, you'd have to set up tags properly while using the autorig components to create each aspect of the rig. The beauty of this system however, is that once you create the rig, you can just can use it again and again, and each mixamo rig will be rigged automatically. In my next video I'm going to introduce how to set this up.
for anyone wondering if there apex rig component is not working , just check if you have spelled the Base with capital " B " in pack folder , i made this mistake and quit 3 times wondering somethings wrong with houdini , hope this helps
Thank you so much. This is an excellent intro video. I finally understand a bit of how APEX works. :)

This is a lot easier to understand than the tutorials provided by Houdini on APEX. Thank you so much!
in 20.5 you gotta mannally select the rig source in confiure control to work
been waiting for something exactly like this!
I've been waiting for you my whole life... ❤❤❤
My settings are completely different on the APEX autorig component
H 20.0.547 here, the AutoRig ui is a bit different, and it doesnt do what you show at 1:50, thanks

If someone having similar problem: Looks like in source tab skeleton name is different now. By default it is Guides.skel instead of Base.skel
The authoring component does not see my points and the node looks different already or else
Responding late - did you ever get this figured out?
I am having the same issue where the autorig component looks completely different. I can put the * To promote the parameters.@@maxrose8845
Oh! it is in the Controls Tab now.
perfect timing, thanks.
@MaxCrow our names are almost the same!
how to implement Eye Tracking of a target using APEX, please show?
I'm setting up a series on developing custom components, an eye tracker is high up on the list
Thanks for great tutorial. Is it possible in apex graph create analog of object merge sop for null nodes to prevent wire clutter?

Cool, glad I could help. And yes, the next videos will be at the proper 21:9 res. Raising the production value, one video at a time...
@@maxrose8845 huge percentage of viewers use 16:10 so that might be best aspect ratio to record in, just my 2 cents.

@@antonio4740x yeah, everything is WAY too small for me to read.
Hard to see the text in your video
I'll start zooming in when I'm writing VEX
@@maxrose8845 I am just zooming in on my mac using gestures, I bet there is a way to do it on Windwos too.
Mixamo Rigs seems to break when we use Apex
Is there anything to do to fix it?

Have the same problem. Mixamo rig gets all screwed up as soon as you use auto rig component.

You're a lifesaver
Nice helps a lot.
H 20.0.590 here. When I have the AutoRig node active and press enter in the viewport, houdini crashes. Any advice anyone?
(I'm in linux, just in case)
@@agustingarcia6448 There could be an issue in your setup that APEX just can't handle. Which function within the autorig node are you using?
Thank you so much
No problem
This unfortunately is not relevant in 20.5 :( Multiple changes of the names and the flow
Mate not everyone has a silly wide screen like yours
You’re god sent Max, period! Thank you for all your efforts into making this Apex series! 🙏🙏🙏🫶🫶🫶
haha cool I'll take God Sent. Glad I could help 😄
