'Break Down The Walls' taken from the 1987 album 'Excess All Areas'. Shy's biggest hit, co-written with Don Dokken.
Band members : Tony Mills (vocals), Steve Harris (guitars), Paddy McKenna (keyboards), Mark Badrick (bass) and Alan Kelly (drums).
Tony Mills is now vocalist with TNT.
Buy it on CD - you won't regret it!! (Well, except me, cos my mum plays it all the time in the car and it's slowly driving me mad!!!)

these lads wern't glam! they were british aor rockers with long hair. the shy LP s were simply great aor and certainly compared well to the american stuff out at the same time. shame they were not appreciated more....

The intro riff is nearly identical to Ace Frehley's 'One plus one' recorded ten years later.
It's also a bit like "Highway To Hell" and "One Vision"

Great underrated classic, they should've been huge!
It's the only memorable song and minor hit on the album. They should've done more song in this style
i remeber this band i always used to listen to the friday rock show and had a lovey guy in the midlands send me vids of all the bands on the rock metal channels until i got it myself to watch friday nigts were good if you stayed in as well as going out lol \m/
played a gig with alan kelly ( drummer) just last night! He was filling in as a bassist for his sons band Big screen heroes which im in :D great stuff and great song :D
Is this the same Steve Harris that's also in Iron Maiden or is this a different Steve Harris?
I prefer Brave the storm Album but also Excess all areas is good and this song is one of the best.
