Hi Peter, thank you for touching base with me about my recipe. I’m happy it worked out for you and I was more then happy to share it with everyone. Love, Teta
Good job baba! You use the same sayings (as my baba) and pretty much have similar dishes as we prepare in the Vardar region. I'd really love to learn about some of your favorite desserts from your region. Greetings from Prilep. ❤
Spolaj ti Igor for your kinda comment, you made me really happy to hear that we share the same dishes and to hear about your Baba. My region is the Lerin region, I like more of the sweeter desserts, the Blago (baklava), the revani, the alva, and the mletchnik. Stay safe, love Baba ❤️
You say you broiled the pork the night before in the video. Would this recipe be the same if we started with the pork raw? And then maybe for another video, but I grew up with a similar version with chicken. Would it be the same just replacing the pork with the chicken? Thank you for your wonderful videos!
Dear Jammin, I boiled the meat first because I like to discard the first water that’s used to boil and then refill the pot with water to continue boiling and use that water to use in the final cooking tray that goes in the oven. Although you can, I recommend not to cook the pork raw because it be tougher to eat and less tender; you can also fallow this recipe with chicken as well boiling that too. Thank you for your comment, merry Christmas and happy new year love, Baba 🎄
Hi Sonja, thank you for watching. When I refer to brine, it’s the water in a bowl with 1/2 a tsp of salt. If you prepare the potatoes without the salt in the water and leave they will turn brown. If you cook the potatoes right away then you don’t need to do the brine. Hope this could help.
awesome baba ❤💛❤
Hi Teta! I finally got around to making the pork and potato manja. It didn't disappoint and it was amazing! Thanks for sharing this recipe 😀

Baba, is that tenderloin, shoulder, or pork loin that you are using? Looks amazing.
Hello. Thank you for your comment! For this recipe I used Tenderloin, but any of those style of Pork will work good.
What does brine mean or how do you make it?
