Bog Da Prosti for your husband Baba 🙏💖. Thank you for you beautiful Macedonian cooking. My parents have recent;y passed and you have inspired me to make this bread with the Holy wooden stamp that my mom left for me. God bless you and your family. 💖

      Dear Tj,
Thank you for your comment on one of my most favourite recipes. This is a very special bread and I am so happy you learned to make it. It serves 2 purposes as you can eat it at home, or take it to church.
I learned to make this when my husband passed away and I’ve been making it ever since. I hope your mother enjoyed it!
Merry Christmas and happy new year!
      Love baba ♥️🎄♥️🎄♥️

I would like to know where you buy the baking pans 18cmx 10cm

    • @AfternoonsWithBaba

You would a round pan so 18x18 cm, you can get them at any store that sells for baking. Good luck, love Baba 🙂❤️

I bought one of these stamps in Lake Ohrid, Macedonia and wondered how it was used, thanks for the info. What exactly is the stamp called a "scuddnik" . Do you know what the letters and symbols stand for?

Hello Deborah. We call it a “Pliscournik”. Before using it you can take it to your church for 6 weeks to be blessed by the priest to make it Holy. It is used for the Holy bread which is taken to the church during celebrations or for commemorating a death.
My Pliscournik has a cross and the letters are holy scriptures. I have not asked my priest what it means exactly but if your curious the church will be able to answer that.
      Love,
      Baba ❤️

What size of pans are you using? I am making the holy bread but I love to try the pan

    • @AfternoonsWithBaba
      @AfternoonsWithBaba  ปีที่แล้ว

Hello, thank you. The pan is 6inch round pan, and make sure you oil the pan and flour the bottom or else it will get stuck. You can find this pan at any store that sells cake or baking supplies.

Hi Baba, Can I ask if you used Traditional yeast or quick rise yeast?

Hello Michelle. Thank you for your comment! I am happy to hear that your interested in the Lituria. I use traditional yeast but quick rise yeast will work as well.

      Baba ❤️
