Fantastic to have the opportunity to film these awesome RC F1 cars racing at the Cotswold Model Car Club track. It obviously takes skill and practice to get around this track and the conditions were a bit slippery due to rain overnight and the wind certainly did not help. Thanks to Cotswold MCC for their hospitality on the day.

That would be dope if the had FPV cameras on there cars, so it would be a bit like drone racing 🏁
I think it would be kinda hard to see anything since the camera would be so low on the ground, you wouldn't see any corners coming
@@CookSavon same as real life, you’d actually see perfectly fine and would have done practice runs before hand anyways.

There are also 1/10th scale touring cars, which IMO is much more fun, but just as serious and expensive...

If the racers mount a camera on the rc's they probably can see the road better at turning and a better feel of controlling like a game but real life

I want this but with an FPV setup and sim racing steering wheel/pedals as a controller.
These are too small for good FPV. I'm going to convert a larger open wheel RC car for DJI FPV in the very near future for some track racing.

What if you put cameras in the pilot's seat and everyone had to use VR and racing wheels to control the cars?
they do actually do that just no steering wheel just controllers but it’s call micro fpv f1 racing

Hey guys! first off, great video. thanks for sharing. I am just now (literally) getting into RC F1, got my first F1 car yesterday. Coming from the crawler world, our setups are completely different. I know of the crawler world do's and dont's as well as good products and upgrades. Not sur eof anything for the speed/race side of things. Whats some good setups to look into? motor, trans, steering/suspension, wheels/tires combo, etc... Thanks for any guidance
Apologies but I can't help with you questions. I just filmed at this event. I recommend you find a sub-forum on rcgroups or rcuniverse for this type of RC racing.

I know the focus is the race, but theirs a DC-3 behind you! (or maybe a Lockheed Electra, the look pretty much the same to me)

Well, it depends on what car u r watching, the orange actually is very similar to a f1
The wings and bodies are fairly representative of the real cars, as best as they can be at that size without being too fragile.

The top speed on the straight is about 30mph.. The RPM's vary depending on gear selection on the day..
Just look up 1/10th scale racing for more information...

Without the audio I knew this was somewhere not in thr USA, they're using stick transmitters when the US uses pistol grips.
I don't know where you get that from. Most of the drivers use pistol grip style transmitters. This was at a rc car club in England.
