Fibromyalgia is a clinical syndrome characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain, along with associated symptoms like fatigue, sleep disturbances, mood disorders, and brain fog.
Fibromyalgia is real condition with genuine pain.
The pain of fibromyalgia is termed "Nociplastic pain," which results from a dysregulated nervous system, leading to hypersensitivity to pain signals.
Fibromyalgia pain can manifest as deep, aching pain that is not logically connected to a specific injury, and it can occur on both sides of the body and above and below the waist.
It's essential to discuss the possibility of fibromyalgia with a doctor, explore medication options, and consider lifestyle changes such as diet, sleep, movement, and community support to manage fibromyalgia pain effectively.

Pain of any etiology most importantly fibromyalgia , can be effectively managed by maintaining healthy lifestyle and ideal level of vitamin D around 40 ng plus intake of Magnesium supplements and
B Vitamins and avoidance of SUGAR the main reason for inflammation. Thanks for the video ma'am.

For years my drs insisted I had Fibromyalgia but I didn’t have the symptoms of Fibromyalgia. Turns out I have Undifferentiated Connective Tissue Disease and Psoriatic Arthritis. Unfortunately, it took so many years to figure out and the damage is already done 😢

How do I get a disability insurance company to stop harassing me with pharmacotherapy, CBT, mindfulness and other rehab that doesn’t work? I just want to do my little light stretches daily, rest and keep my energy to help my wife with house tasks? The insurance company is ruining my life because they will cut off my benefits if I don’t try their “treatment” attempts. They make me do literal workouts at a rehab center, which does make me feel good temporarily, but KILLS me an hour later at home to a point where I can’t do nothing else but cry in pain. It sounds like they don’t believe me. I’ve even took videos and they said I could’ve faked them!! I don’t know what to do. Please help.

Best description I've heard is that we all have a ceiling to our pain and fatigue but some people that ceiling is much lower and then there are another subset of people who have a low ceiling but when they exercise too much that ceiling is lowered.

If we ask an insurance company to pay our medical, we are enslaved to them and have to do it their way. If you want to be in charge of your body, find a cash pay provider and/or research the issues yourself. I fired my sugar-daddy a long time ago and have been finding much more effective treatments on my own.

Could fibro be brought on by chemotherapy?

Chemo can cause neuropathy which can produce stabbing, pin and needles, numbess, and aching in extremeties. Nociplastic pain is a different mechanism. Environmental toxins can cause nociplastic pain. However, Nociplastic pain syndromes include particular fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome, headache, complex regional pain syndrome, and idiopathic orofacial pain. Several mechanisms have been proposed to account for nociplastic pain including central sensitisation, alterations of pain modulatory controls, epigenetic changes, and peripheral mechanisms. Importantly, nociplastic pain might also be present in patients with cancer pain, particularly those with pain related to complications of cancer treatment. Increased awareness of nociplastic pain associated with cancer should have important implications for monitoring and managing such patients. So only a neurologist probably could distinquish between neuropathic pain or nociplastic pain.

Fibromyalgia is the Palestinian of rheumatology. I have fibromyalgia and I will never talk to any dr. It hurts more to see rolling eyes then fibromyalgia pain.
