It's been over a decade and this remained one of my favourite couples ever.

I used to think this couple is too odd and at times annoying, but then I realize Chiaki and Nodame are reminiscent of Beethoven and Mozart (if you think about it Chiaki often appears with messy hair, is obsessed over details, has hot temper and aggressive conducting style, whereas Nodame is an effortless, childlike and happy go lucky prodigy, approaches music in her own natural way, likes to improvise and of course toilet humor, it's also been hinted here and there like Chiaki's favorite composer being Beethoven, Eroica playing a key role in Chiaki's character arc, Nodame's recital in Brittany...) it makes sense of a lot of things especially Nodame's quirks, and seriously how interesting it is to see two most famous composers in history interact with their contrasting personalities... On top of that, I love how at the beginning, Nodame is the clinging one and always has to struggle to catch up with Chiaki, but later in the epilogue chapters she has left him far behind (poor Chiaki conductors reach their career prime much later than solo pianists), even bosses him around and tells him not to visit when she's busy lol
It's funny how author made in the end of manga it was Chiaki's turn to struggle

@@ameliabloodborne3366 if you liked Nodame Cantabile, you should definitely check out “Itazura na Kiss”. It’s not about music, but it’s a romance and it’s got a rly similar dynamic between the two main characters. I rly liked it
