You never know really showcases Jisoo's rich gut-wrenchingly emotional/vulnerable voice, Rosie's acrobatic light hopeful voice, Jennie's hauntingly powerful voice (and most impactful line: 'its easier to judge me than to believe') and Lisa's innocent/pure voice/melodic rap. This song represents Blackpink better than any other on The album imo. Can't wait till they perform this on stage.

I feel like I'm left at that first path" it think it's pertaining about how their world is completely changed with the popularity and stuff yet somehow they don't feel like it change anything about them, that they feel like they are still at the same spot where they still have to "dance everyday" which means they still have to train everyday. It's like saying just because they reached a successful status the pressure on them to be better still remains. The pressure when they were still trainees to be good enough to debut, the expectation on them to be even more better.

In a way, Lisa's voice is very special that no one can imitate, very sweet, cool and rolls, singing and rapping are all very good but it seems very few people compliment Lisa's voice.

I don't see lisa getting praised as much as the other members in the comments. I love all of them and I'm not a solo stan. But i just wanna say I'm so proud of lisa cause she was able to change her rap flow so well and killed her vocal parts. She basically ate the whole album up. Again I'm not a solo stan i just feel sad not seeing her get the recognition she deserves. So many people r discrediting her efforts and r attacking her a lot so i feel like i just need to put this out.
All the members slayed this comeback literally.. they all should be praised equally..❤️

Lisa is the most popular idol like in the world, the comment here with the most number of likes is about Lisa, plus all BlackPink comments sections in platforms like TH-cam and Instagram are full of praise for Lisa with thousands of likes and are always at the top (and let's not talk about Lisa solo stans) If there are members not been praised enough in BlackPink those are Jisoo and Rosé. I get that maybe she's is your bias, and maybe it worries you this comment section isn't as full of praise for her as others (even when there are actually many great comments about Lisa here) but for me is refreshing to find for example lots of praise for Jisoo in a song where she finally got more lines and got to showcase her talent more (like this one) or for example comments about Rosé's great dancing skills under a dance practice video, because the thing is they all are very good and very well trained in everything, just like how Lisa is not only the best dancer but also a good vocalist, but I don't think is necessary to monopolize every comment section about Lisa, they all deserve the recognition. All in all I don't think your comment is fair.

If u had ANY idea on what's going on you'd know that throughout this entire cb lisa was continuously being attacked for things she had no control of. For example the hindu god on their hylt set. Who's faukt was that? the person in charge of the props. Who did people blame? Lisa. In their ice cream mv, AGAIN lisa was blamed for the content of her lyrics which some people claimed to be "offensive" towards a certain religion. Who's fault was it? the lyricist. Who was blamed? Lisa. In her recent cb for lovesick girls, she was on a variety show where she did the crab dance and once again people flooded twt w hate comments and made death threats against her. She didn't post anything for a few days then and people were worried. Her music show appearance showed that she looked dull. Now u tell me. Do u see why most of the time people compliment her??? It's cause she gets the most hate alongside jennie. It's not because we wanna overpower the comment section w her name. I said it as a form if support since she's clearly having a rough time. the line “back when i danced everyday, i feel like i’m left at that first spot” i think is referencing their trainee/debut days. they practiced everyday as trainees and maybe even with all of their fame they sometimes feel stuck in those days? the song talks about the world changing but not them, so maybe they feel as helpless as how they felt when they debuted where their fate is placed on the general public’s hand and they have to hope they like it. so maybe it’s about hoping they’ll keep being successful even if they already are cause they feel stuck in their debut days?

I dont even consider myself a blink (love these girls tho, always rooting for them), but this went to my playlist immediately on my first listen. The amount of times i played this on the day of release. Not to mention that i teared up everytime i hear this, including now. 😭 This should be a kpop idol anthem because the amount of unnecessary hate they all go through (especially girl group idols, i believe) is just unbelievably cruel. 💔

For me it means they feel like they haven’t improved since the trainee’s days with all the hates, doubts and judgments they get from others bc according to jennie’s on the documentary back then they were criticized a lot by producers and staff that she’s not worth it it was really hard with all the criticism. Everything was evaluated and tested back then so their old feelings seem to resurfaced and affect them sometimes. It’s what’s I understand from it.
ROSÉ is the best for me in this song.

I think it meant both literally and metaphorically, the studio where they trained for 7-4 yrs together with other trainees hoping to debut is still the studio they practice all their choreographs now that they are super sucessful, so even though they debuted they are still stuck in that “spot”

This is my favorite out of the album although others were pretty good as well. Love how you put so much effort by listening to the studio version and then the lyrics. This is how it connects one to a song. That is what makes his listening experience really different, to me at least. Great job Aaron.
