11 years later and I still find myself coming back to listen to this thing again. I remember being in middle school and discovering what a banshee was for the first time. Never been the same since😂
no matter how many times I watch this the first launch always makes me happy. Love that sound and wish i could get my banshee that perfect. This thing is ON POINT!
Thats a sick banshee... came out the whole on a**whole mode keep the videos comin ill keep hitn that thumbs up button... I watched all the banshee/blaster videos very good stuff
I remember when this video was a month old back when times were more simple damn time flys by lmaoo still stop by from time to time and watch it again🤟🏽💯
Man oh man the sound of those pro circuits....such nostalgia. I had a 96 and a 2000 banshee ,the 96 was a 4 mill stroker with ported cylinders and a billet trinity cool head...i miss that sound of those pro circuits..unfortunatly it was stolen from me..I sold my 2000 as well..it had generous mods as well..i regret it to this day..eventually ill have another or two. nice banshee man.
There are a lot of factors for that. I've noticed stock exhausts smoke a LOT more than aftermarket exhausts. It also has to do what with oil you can and what ratio you run it at as well as your jetting too. The stock banshee is running klotz at 32:1 with stock pipes and stock jetting. The blue banshee is running Amsoil dominator at 40:1 with aftermarket pipes.
I will shoot a video on this explaining it. However to sum it up. 4mil is short for "4 millimeter stroker engine". The stroke of the engine is how far the piston travels up and down inside the cylinder. This engine travels 2mm up further and 2mm down further therefor making it a 4mm stroker. Essentially it increases the displacement (how big) the engine is without actually putting a larger engine in the ATV. Hope this helps.
@Sandlot4545 A banshee by no means is designed for mud but to each his own. When my shee was stock I would throw it in mud pits all the time and never had a problem. Now that it is modded I try and keep it out of the mud because parts become very expensive from rust and extra wear and tear due to the moisture. I would definitely not recommend treating your shee like a 4x4 but the occasional puddle wont hurt if it has an airbox.
No, it's like butter. Check out my shift star mod video. The notched out part of the star is neutral, just grind that a TINY bit deeper and it'll be easier. Also putting some pressure inward on the lever with your foot will help the lever move slower. What kind of gearbox oil are you running?
@2StrokeSmokes Stock head was modded for the stroker and shaved .0030 for a little more compression. No porting was done to the cylinders but they were bored and honed by CSA performance in Michigan.
hey man, your the best on here with banshees, i contacted you months ago when i had gotten my first shee. well shee is now sold but i have a new one that is supposedly bored .50 over and shit like that. its really nice this time. and i think it just needs some proper tuning. i was riding it, uit only would like to stay on with feathering the throttle. but rode beast. but than right as i pulled up to truck to leave. shee started high revving. and she is almost out of gas and running like 25:1.
The number you are referring to is called engine displacement. It is calculated by bore X stroke X # of cylinders. Bore is the diameter of the cylinder. Stroke is how far the piston travels up and down inside the cylinder. # of cylinders is self-explanatory. A banshee is a "350" (actually its a 348 i believe but most manufacturers round up) which is composed of two 175cc cylinders. Also know as a "350 twin) which means both the cylinders are positioned next to each other.
@darklurker08 Due to the design of the exhaust a 2 stroke actually sucks some of the exhaust back into the combustion chamber the be recombusted. That procress sucks a little more exhaust in when you ride at lower rpms. So it is true to an extent. However most people that own banshees are throttle happy and dont have the problem. Once again jetting and tuning and syncing your carbs plays a huge role in how well your machine will perform.
@501video501 I'm not short shifting, the quad is geared down and has low-mid range pipes on it. It falls on its face if I rev it out any further... Im just keeping it in the power.
We have small trailers but im the only one with a truck... The only way to get all of the quads up there would be with the big trailer and we dont have a vehicle to pull it. Hopefully this fall ill get a full sized truck and we will be all set :)
The banshee engine was originally designed as a street bike motor. I think it was called the RZ350 or something along those lines. All 2 stroke ATV and Dirt bike motors are very similar. Only very mild differences. If you know one, you know almost all of the rest. Glad you enjoy the vids and thanks for the comment. Tons more to come.
As for bore size that is simply a reference to the diameter of the piston (how wide the piston is). The way engine displacement is calculated is this. Bore x Stroke x # of cylinders = Engine displacement This banshee is I believe 380ish cc's
Actually paid WAAAAAAY more than that. Worth every penny to me as well. I don't treat me quad like shit then get rid of it when it doesn't run right like most people.
thats true of any machine. and yes 70 is more than enough. to dose power wheelies without popping the clutch just going through the band it slowly lifts the front tires. cane with 5 sets of studded dirt track tires.
Dam that thing has some balls. I bet you'd have fun if you took it to the dunes. I almost bought one but ended up getting a 250 for the trails. My next quad will definitely be a banshee though. Keep making videos!!!
I got my motor work done by CSA performance in almont, MI. no port work only a bore and hone with a shaved head. I built the motor. Some parts were bought from FAST racing.
@1024ceejay Banshee is a good choice to have in the collection, sooooo much you can do with them. Thanks for checkin out my other vids, I really appreciate it.
Very nice bike , I had my shee done by Passion Racing Engines , 4 mil stroker . I just got my Sniper Assassin pipes the other day , it took a long time to get them but they are amazing , worth the wait .whole new bike . 100% agree on tires ,off road tires drifting on pavement is a waste of money they just disappear ...lol
@Countryman984 2004 banshee. They are all pretty much exactly the same other then colors and the 87-89 banshee had J-arms instead of A-arms. A banshee is the way to go if you want to mod... The list only ends with your budget.
The powerband on stock banshees is very unpredictable and slightly dangerous in my opinion. The engine wants to scream but the intake and exhaust hold it back big time.
Do a compression test too and see if you cant advance the timing or get smaller domes for pump gas. Im sure as you know the added compression really steps up the overall performance of the bike espically with some good reeds. Better think of putting some good suspension/ anti vibe stem/ flexxx bars +2+1 A Arms for added comfert. Youll need it with that powerhouse.
@Metallica1071991 Sure is! The oring they give you with the kickstart rebuild kit is a little small. Im gunna look for a bigger one and hopefully solve that problem this season.
@megacassieD With -1 front sprocket and pro circuit pipes the power is all in the middle, if I hold it any longer there is a HUGE power loss cause this thing falls on its face in the high end. Im regearing and doing a port job this summer to balance it out.
11 years later and I still find myself coming back to listen to this thing again. I remember being in middle school and discovering what a banshee was for the first time. Never been the same since😂
So glad to hear it! Hopefully I’ll get some more vids up of the banshee one day
thank god im not the only one lmao
Same here I was like 15 when I first seen this video I’m 23 now have kids a house and looking forward to getting a banshee soon
Doing the very same bock for the great sound
Actually I doing the very same
love the sound of a 2 stroke ringing off the trees
+Yamaha Rider me too :)
This is honestly my favorite video of a banshee I watch it over and over the sound is awesome
aaron davis :)
no matter how many times I watch this the first launch always makes me happy. Love that sound and wish i could get my banshee that perfect. This thing is ON POINT!
Just can't beat the thrill of a Banshee! its just crazy how hard a well tuned 2-stroke twin pulls.... its almost scary!!!
Very scary at times :)
Lol yes indeed.
redneck4life887 for me it’s different every time when riding the beast
Everyone: no replacement for displacement!
2stroke: uhhh lemme see about that
Best sounding banshee ive ever heard
Thanks!
nothing sounds better than a Banshee rippin ass thru the woods!
watched this video about 100 times and still love it.
:)
Same. The best video...with the best quad on this planet. Lovely
That rattling noise is usually the kick start lever mine does the same thing
Brandon Bolster That's it!
There is NOTHING better than the sound of a 2 stroke echo in the woods
THAT OH SO SWEET SOUND THAT MAKES YOU REGRET CHANGING TO A FOUR STROKE
Beautiful sounding. You really know how to build a bike!
:)
Please
Thats a sick banshee... came out the whole on a**whole mode keep the videos comin ill keep hitn that thumbs up button... I watched all the banshee/blaster videos very good stuff
Thanks brother, more to come soon :)
I remember when this video was a month old back when times were more simple damn time flys by lmaoo still stop by from time to time and watch it again🤟🏽💯
Thanks man! I appreciate it. Hoping to get more vids up!
Nothing sounds better than a Banshee! I have a 2011 Raptor 700 and id trade it for a Banshee in a heartbeat!
i sure will man, thanks.you got the best sounding banshee ive ever heard even better than my cpi's. mine is a 4 mill too
I love to see more than one person in a group who has a banshee. Its lonely being the only one around here with a banshee!!
I LOVE THAT SOUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Omgf I love that 2storcker sound
:)
thats the best comeback ever made... gonna be using this one!!!!!!!
one of the best Banshees i have seen, i have a Blaster my self and my uncle has a Banshee to
Man oh man the sound of those pro circuits....such nostalgia.

thanks for the help, banshee has always been my favorite, looking at a 2008 model, last year they were made, for Canada
Zero problems and they work AWESOME together!

Yeah buddy. I love it. Nice quad bro.

That 1st banshee sounds. AMAZING lol. Nice banshees
The 4 Mil sounds like the one off of Offroad Fury. God, that's sick. Love Banshees!
Everyone sucks at "drifting" with Holeshot HD's on there quad... They are made for traction and do a damn good job of getting it.
No, it's like butter. Check out my shift star mod video. The notched out part of the star is neutral, just grind that a TINY bit deeper and it'll be easier. Also putting some pressure inward on the lever with your foot will help the lever move slower. What kind of gearbox oil are you running?
Banshee sounds sick i like how it eckos through the woods!!!!!
The sound it produces just gives me goosebumps
Its a possibility one day. Still deciding what to do. I like the idea of only having one carb to mess with and rejet.
I agree brother, thanks for the support :) Ride hard, Stay safe! Thanks!
Wow! Thats a amesome video of your banshee jlsparky7 and a huge thumbs up dude.
***** Thanks man!
Not sure what you are asking. The blue banshee is about 380cc's the red one is 348 I believe.
@2StrokeSmokes Stock head was modded for the stroker and shaved .0030 for a little more compression. No porting was done to the cylinders but they were bored and honed by CSA performance in Michigan.
@Teague450YZ You have to mix it with the banshee. The blaster comes stock with an oil tank.
@350greenS10 I plan on getting a trail port on the next rebuild. Just didnt want too much power all at once.
Love the sound of a banshee
hey man, your the best on here with banshees, i contacted you months ago when i had gotten my first shee. well shee is now sold but i have a new one that is supposedly bored .50 over and shit like that. its really nice this time. and i think it just needs some proper tuning. i was riding it, uit only would like to stay on with feathering the throttle. but rode beast. but than right as i pulled up to truck to leave. shee started high revving. and she is almost out of gas and running like 25:1.
Man that thing is music to my ears

Michigan moto mania is a good place to start, thats for sure.
I have pro circuit on mine and I freaking love that sound
that stroker sounds mean as hell nice work man.
@darklurker08 Due to the design of the exhaust a 2 stroke actually sucks some of the exhaust back into the combustion chamber the be recombusted. Suspension and endurance training are key with longevity of riding.
We have small trailers but im the only one with a truck... The only way to get all of the quads up there would be with the big trailer and we dont have a vehicle to pull it. Hopefully this fall ill get a full sized truck and we will be all set :)
Zero problems. Shifts smoother then ever. Just run a high quality synthetic gear oil. Check out my trans oil change vid for more details.
nice bike man gotta love the sound i miss both my banshee think of getting another one soon ahah keep posting good vid man
It not only revs out faster it is built for mid range power. It falls on its face in high RPM.
Get another one! Life's all about the rush! Thanks for the compliments :)
@theUrge08 Correct +2+1 up front. For the back in the vid I had a g-force axle set to +2. Later that day i switched it to +4 for the MX track :)
The banshee engine was originally designed as a street bike motor. I think it was called the RZ350 or something along those lines. All 2 stroke ATV and Dirt bike motors are very similar. This banshee is I believe 380ish cc's
No problem. Ill get a vid on wheelies up asap. Ill try to include as many details as possible.
I did a rebuild kit and greased the hell out of it. No luck. Gunna try buying bigger orings.
What conditions do you ride in? What is your riding style? What are your future goals with the quad?
CSA performance did the work on the engine parts. Domes aren't cut but head is shaved .0030
Actually paid WAAAAAAY more than that. Worth every penny to me as well. I don't treat me quad like shit then get rid of it when it doesn't run right like most people.
Thanks :)
My uncle has owned two ATC's. Fun ATV's!
thats true of any machine. and yes 70 is more than enough. to dose power wheelies without popping the clutch just going through the band it slowly lifts the front tires. cane with 5 sets of studded dirt track tires.
@Owningya Just on the most recent engine rebuild it was $1000. About 300 of that was the bore/hone and shaved head
Dam that thing has some balls. I bet you'd have fun if you took it to the dunes. I almost bought one but ended up getting a 250 for the trails. My next quad will definitely be a banshee though. Keep making videos!!!
Make sure your crossover tube is in place and check the compression on each cylinder
Hopefully next year, ive been saying that for awhile now. Problem is my family doesn't have a vehicle big enough to pull our big trailer.
I got my motor work done by CSA performance in almont, MI. no port work only a bore and hone with a shaved head. I built the motor. Some parts were bought from FAST racing.
Whenever i think about trading my banshee for a 450, i watch this video and it reminds me why i should keep itt
@1024ceejay Banshee is a good choice to have in the collection, sooooo much you can do with them. Thanks for checkin out my other vids, I really appreciate it.

Absolutely the perfect low-end pipe. :)
The more I watch videos like this the more I realize I need to build a 4 mil banshee

A banshee is the way to go if you want to mod... The list only ends with your budget.
Thanks man! Me too! Please share the vid :)
Plenty more to come this summer!
I could listen to this thing for hours hahaha!! Righteous!!
@darklurker08 If your having to replace plugs often its a tuning issue, Not because its a 2 stroke.
The powerband on stock banshees is very unpredictable and slightly dangerous in my opinion. The engine wants to scream but the intake and exhaust hold it back big time.
That shee Sounds Awesome even with kicker rattle!!! :)
There is going to be some noises associated with the engine functioning properly. Should be a fairly obvious sound if there is a problem.

Badass. I'm going to hopefully pick up a banshee tomorrow.
Awesome :) Please share. A lot more to come this summer.
Different gearing will help with low end along with a good mid range set of pipes.
That sound is great tingles in the arms and feet
Awesome man! let me know what u decide on.
Sweet! please share it! I have a ton more vids coming soon!
@kiltibeast All two strokes make that ticking rattling sound. It's nothing to worry about. You'll know when somethings wrong lol
wow that thing has some serious power. thise takeoffs were awesome
@vizilla413 Definitely. Little heavy but its worth it for the extra traction and durability.
Im regearing and doing a port job this summer to balance it out.
love your banshees.crazy power.
Grass has left the chat
Not yet man, still workin on it
I OWN A COUPLE BANSHEES MY SELF BUT THEY ARE FULLY CUSTOM DRAG ONES AND I AM LOOOKING TO GET ONE JUST TO CRUISE AROUND THE NEIGHBORHOOD.
