My dad glk is blow out hot air and I know it’s going to cost a lot is there anyway you can instruct me what to do or how I can fix it for him? It’s getting hotter and I know it’ll be thought for him to drive around.
Question! I have the same vehicle, exactly the same. I need to change the prem air sensor, which is attached to the radiator. Do I really need to remove the whole fan to replace it!
@512TXSDIY yes plus the dealer in california charge 125 to 150 hourly I do my own oil charge and filter, cabinet filter thanks to people like you a matter of fact I think one of those I mentioned above is also a other one of your clips thanks
Should probably mention this only works in the 2008-2012 GLK350 with the M272 engine. After the car was refreshed with the M276 engine in later model years, changing the plugs is much different (and more annoying)
Have both (M272 in R Class) Yes the M276 is annoying. Stupid plenum gaskets. Also OP: you owe your car some new coils. The original get weak. The Delco branded ones are OEM and the ones you want.
Passenger side front to back 1,2,3, Driver side front to back 4,5,6, So it’s your middle coil on the driver side. Personally, i would just change them all at the same time. Easy DIY and keep it running well. Please like and subscribe
Depends but I normally do it every 2 years or 20,000 miles for the plugs and 4 years/40,000 miles on the coils. If you’re throwing engine codes, then do it sooner of course. Don’t forget to like the video and consider subscribing to the channel.
I put a little on it. Maybe I forgot to film that part. “Technically” I don’t think MB recommends or Porsche AG because they are scared of over tightening. Thank you for the comment and don’t forget to like and consider subscribing to the channel.
@@512TXSDIY Thank you for making me aware that the pre-2013 engine is different. I've changed a lot of plugs in my 72 years and my wife's 2013 GLK 350 was the toughest. The ones in your video looked super easy in comparison.
Much appreciated. FYI, If anyone is just changing spark plugs, I was able to change all the spark plugs without disconnecting cables (3:24).

Thanks bro. You just helped me fix my GLK! Much appreciated
Awesome and thank you for watching! Can you like and subscribe to channel for me please?
Thanks for posting DIY videos on the glk350! This car isnt as well covered as others and i found your videos to be useful.
You’re welcome! ;-)
If it helps the glk is basically the exact same as the c300 of the same year
That is so much easier than on my e500 with 2 spark plug per cylinder . good job sir.
Yeah. When it’s easy, it makes you want to work on the car more. At least for me.
Thank you for the informative video. My girl has a 2010 and needs the plugs done and I wanted to see what I was getting myself into.
Thx Joshua for watching. It’s an easy DIY for sure. Please like the video and subscribe!
Very nice and detail video. Thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching
Great Video! Can you do more Maintenance videos for your GLK 350? also what year is the one that is shown?

Yes please more videos
I did it! Thanks for this!!!
You’re welcome
“Drop it in, well don’t drop it in” 😂😂
Yeah… you don’t want the tip to break.
Great instructional video! Question: which is considered #1, #2, #3, #4,#5,and#6 cylinder? based on the orientation of your video?
Thank you. What are you trying sort out? Which coil you’re having issues with or something? I’d have to find diagram
thanks, this was very helpful

I do not know at this time, sorry!
What’s the gap specs? Got new iridium NGK but one is causing misfire even when Swapping the coil suspecting gap may not be to specs?
I don’t know. Mine came gapped so l just installed it and no issues.
Thanks 👏👏🙌 know I know exactly the sizes I need
Sweet! Kind of a fun and rewarding DIY huh?

Yep, agree super annoying just to get to one side. #4 is the easiest 5 and 6 gggrrrr
@@ColinBrazierdo you have a video that my husband can watch. He gave up on the last 3 plugs. Now, the check engine light is on again.
M272 is alot easier to service than the newer one
Hallo, is this cylinder #1? And where is #2 (my problem)? Thx!
Research what the lay out is on your engine. I normally change all plugs at the same time.
@@512TXSDIY ;-) I am researching by asking you. Thx! It's #2 left from front bumper.
My wife has this vehicle and the #5 coil is bad. How do I tell which one is #5?
Passenger side front to back 1,2,3,
Driver side front to back 4,5,6,
So it’s your middle coil on the driver side. Personally, i would just change them all at the same time. Easy DIY and keep it running well.

How often do you replace the spark plug coils and spark plugs?

@@512TXSDIY Yikes , the wifes 2011 has 120k with original plugs . Guess it's time ,LOL
@@rydfree do it!!
@@rydfreeGOD DAMN lol
Changed the spark plugs and coils still getting a p0301 code
Did you reset the code with a OBD2 scanner?
What’s the gap
Mine came pre gapped
2010 glk350? Same process? Same engine
Should be, yes
Mine is a 2010 as well
A 5/8 actual spark plug socket will remove the need for a magnet...
Smart and good point! Please like the video and consider subscribing if you haven’t already.
The location of spark plugs is so easy to get compared to my Yamaha R6 😄 That was pain...
Car vs bike? What do you mean?
@@512TXSDIY I meant I didnt expect plugs to be easily accessible.. unlike my bike which is buried in (small engine probably)
Ohh okay. Gotcha and yes. :-).
U forgot to add anti seize to the new plugs

@@512TXSDIY Merceds Benz does not recommend any additives on spark plug threads.
You don't need to add anti seize on Mercedes spark plugs.
Heads up! Check the year of your vehicle!! This is the earlier version, NOT like a 2014 and up. The later model is a YUGE pain in the ass.
Thank you for your comment
If you have a 2013 like mine, forget this video. It's not even close. This one looks easy. The 2013 is a bitch.
Thx for watching and sorry this video didn’t help

Yeah it was very easy and fun to do
Mercedes wants $600 to change the plugs!!
If you have my same model, it is a very doable job with basic tools from Harbor Freight or Home Depot. What are you going to do?
Sure hope you gapped those new plugs. Yikes.
Thank you for the comment Braydon. They come pre gapped. I haven’t needed to gap plugs in over 20 years.
