- This.was.an.experience. First off, I suck at singing, so your average singing is difficult for me..so imagine me in this situation. But this guy's voice was incredible and I enjoyed the experience. Hope you guys do too :)

oh my goodness is this real? You met THE Ko Yeongyeol of Rabidance!? This is absolutely incredible. As a Phantom Singer & Rabidance fan I never thought I'd see this sort of content on your channel. Rabidance are not only competent pansori singers, but they also constantly challenge "world music" and attempt to sing in various other languages and genres too. Yo, i did not understand a single lyric, but that man's voice is POWERFUL. It sounds like he projects his voice really well, like he can sing in opem air theatre with no mic.
That is what Pansori is designed for
Here is list why I enjoyed this so much:
1.The man's voice is so soothing to listen to.
2. The way Dave went from: I don't know how to do it, to: okay I'll try and still doing good was pretty amazing to watch.
3. The little slap on the instrument when he said that he can't do it.
4. The synergy between the two is also really nice to watch
And overall, it truly is amazing to listen to and learned something new
Respect to Dave for pushing himself out of his comfort zone- it was amazing!! Got goosebumps!
Pansori gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. I just can't believe how Pansori singers can make these sounds

Like in all singing styles the body posture plays a significant role. You can make the air flow better. Given the way you were sitting it makes sense why you found it more difficult.

I think pansori is an amazing and beautiful way of singing, I think it’s sad that the younger generations in SK are less interested in it. As a German teenager, there is nothing I am particularly proud of concerning German culture, if I was Korean I would embrace my culture. Pansori is really beautiful and although I don’t really speak Korean, I can feel the emotion and am sometimes crying when listening to pansori performances. Thank you for covering such an amazing topic, Dave.
It's come back a bit thanks to modern artists who mix pansori and gugak with modern music like LEENALCHI 이날치 or ADG7 악단광칠.

Generally Korean society hates people from the Southwest or Jeollado. That could be one of the reasons why pansori isn't as popularised too.

i LOVE pansori... i studied it over the summer and learnt sooo much vocab from the lyrics - it's really like a time freeze of the speech of those centuries and the vocal talent is breathtaking !

I like kpop and Korean rap but I have more love towards pansori. Something about this genre reach out to me. I try to imitate the artists but man it’s tough.
I started watching him in middle school (I’m pretty sure), I’m in college now.... I love seeing how much he’s grown.
