It’s so nice to see you creating right in front of our eyes! I’m sure you’ll have it figured out in no time and it’s going to be awesome. That silk fabric is gorgeous! Can’t wait to see the finished garment. 👗🧵🪡🥰

I had a thought about the initial mock-up, you could add a waistband toit and I think it would be a really cute crop top. The red suits you so well!

Thank you, I had that same thought too - in this case the red fabrics quality just wasn’t the vibe, but adding a tie-up waistband could be very cute!

It is really interesting to see you replicating and then making your pattern. I am not sure if you would want to do this but you could look for a similar sewing pattern online then check the pattern parts it has so you would be able to see how they have created the design. This can help as instead of starting with just a dress photo you have the shape of the paper sewing pattern. If you checked out various patterns you then have a better idea on how to create your own. The red looked lovely on you and you could add a waistband to lengthen the back and sides, leaving the v shape for the front. This can then be a wearable toille.I would definitely make the dress either ankle or floor length..The Liberty fabric is gorgeous and I am looking forward to seeing the finished garment.

Interesting idea! I’m excited about the process of figuring it out myself, it’s part of the challenge :) but research like this can definitely be helpful! 🙏

I love this, looks gorgeous! I also think I (might) look good with this sort of neckline, so am ultra excited for the pattern! In other news, my fabric to make the
    Ophelia is arriving tomorrow 😊

In my humble opinion, maybe try a low cut scoop back design instead of the square back? looks more flattering I think?

Final version of this pattern goes live tomorrow, and all I can say is it's scooped a bit ;)

Regarding draping, I often drape on myself! Although I don’t recommend this (pin pricks galore) 😅

Ohhhhh that sounds like the final result would be a perfect fit but you gotta have good arms for that 😄
