@@adad87821 That's ignoring everything else about Stark that makes him obviously UNworthy. From alcoholism to narcissism, and worst of all the man is a closet authoritarian! He makes it VERY clear in Civil War and especially Endgame that he doesn't give a crap about anyone's freedoms or rights, because he's Tony Stark and he knows what is best for you... If Tony hadn't died a hero in Endgame, he would have BECOME Thanos by the next Avenger's movie... The REAL question is how the heck was THOR worthy after just a pep talk from his mom, after abandoning his people TWICE at their lowest point... Once when Thanos killed half of them, and he went on a revenge quest rather than help the survivors, and again when he became a cowardly recluse after failing to stop Thanos. Thrice if you count when he shirked any remaining responsibility to his people and left Valkyrie in charge while he went off on essentially a vacation... I get why Cap can lift it, but why can THOR lift it?
@@davidtucker9498 Bruh you don't make any sense at all. Ironman isn't nearly as bad as you say. Why tf would he become the new Thanos? He wanted to increase Earth's security and in Infinity war you already saw consequences of not doing that. Civil war was more about whether the avengers should be allowed to fight freely and not signing the accords would lead to the avengers getting banned. Thor in infinity war was floating in space while the survivors were already safe on Earth. He didn't abandon them, more like Thanos threw him in space. Stopping Thanos was a much more important task at that moment hence he went to make Stormbreaker to kill Thanos so that he wouldn't have to lose anymore Asgardians. What's more important? Stopping an intergalactic threat who's gonna kill more of your people or going back to the survivors and allowing the intergalactic madman to kill the other half of the remaining survivors. In Endgame the "pep talk" turned him back to the responsible Thor we see in Ragnarok which was why he regained his worthiness.
You dont need to risk your life to be worthy. It has to do with inner good. Only thor and cap are truly good and almost beyond corruption. If iron man got the hammer he would definitely end up corrupted by its powers.
Loki wants to stop the never ending wars between the realms . spider-man has sacrifice his life future and love to save lives . it goes on for a while.
Seeing how morailty as an ideal is literally complelty and utterly subjective to each and every person, rather than something of universal or eternal meaning. Id say just anyone who honestly believes themselves to fulfill their sense of morality to be worthy.
Jonathan Campbell You are right. I mean, the panther God of wakanda (probably spelled it wrong), who can see into every possible reality, told doom that the world would be better off under doom's rule. Heard that? That means that in all futures, the one where doom rules is the best.
You know, Superman held Mjolnir. All the while holding Captain America's shield. Later in the issue when Superman tried to pick up the hammer to return it to Thor, he could no longer lift it. The series’ writer Kurt Busiek defined worthiness as not just being an inherent quality but something that can change moment to moment. Sometimes it was tied to a specific action: defeating the villain was a worthy goal, so Superman was worthy then, but just handing the hammer back? Not a worthy goal. So, really anyone can hold Mjolnir so long as their goals are worthy, their character or past doesn't matter. I mean, even Loki held Thor's hammer once and that was regardless of the evil stuff he's done. But then again, Mjolnir's criteria changes all the time depending on the writer.
Not really. It was already foreshadowed way back in Age of Ultron and Cap can canonically do it in the comics so...not a major surprise for a lot of people. This is more a spoiler for the comics than anything else since mjolnir is nowhere near as exclusive in the comics as it is in the marvel movies
Luke David All those characters you mentioned are kids, who are more often than not voiced by women. Loki is a full-grown man. At least, I assume he is.
Luke David -_- There is a huge difference between a prepubescent boy and a fully grown man. So yes it is strange, you don't see Tara Strong voicing Ben 10 when he is 16.
BuMa I Shane M It occured after loki caused a fake raganarok that kinda caused everyone to be reborn. Loki was reborn as female and swore to never lie again, and she didn't lie, instead, she used truth to manipulate people to do what she wanted, though she was mostly did it to prevent worse things from happening or to stop worse evils..
In Norse mythology, it wasn't about worthy-ness for picking up Mjolnir. It's just Mjolnir is a mega destructive hammer that only Thor was strong enough to wield.
LooneyBoy Why? It works 24/7 without asking for approval. Even if it will end its life it still works after some parts of it need a repair until he draws last of breath in neverending battle to help mankind.
Worthy for Viking Gods standard. Which means that yeah sure, the wielder must be heroic and brave but he must an impulsive warrior who loves to fight with a certain degree of bloodlust.

@@phoenixflambe3319 he's talking about the new Thor comics were Thor is pretty much at his strongest, but Mjolnir became heavy for him and all others can lift it
The reason capt couldn’t wield the hammer in that one movie (but could budge it) is because he was morally worth, but lacked the will of a true ruler (as defined by oden) to seek out power himself.
@@Marcelelias11 This. Directors for both movies confirmed Steve was always worthy. They said he felt that he could move it, but pretended he couldn't so it wouldn't cause unnecessary drama and because he's not a braggart.

Yep. Hell, I even dare say that if Karen was a SuperHero, Carol Danvers would be one of the first picks.
I feel cap has always been worthy. He just didn’t feel it since he was holding the secret about Bucky and Howard stark from tony. Once all that came out and was reunited with Bucky and later tony he was able to lift the hammer.
And Vision. And probably Falcon, and Agents Coulson, Romanov, May, Carter, and Sousa for their courage. Probably Scarlett Witch via telekinesis. Probably Ant-Man due to ant strength, and Spider-Man due to spider strength. Inanimate objects can hold it, so Winter Soldier could use his metal arm. War Machine for the same reasons as Iron Man. Black Panther, cause he's already a king. Maybe Pepper cause she was strong enough to put up with Tony all those years. But not Hulk and certainly not Nick Fury, cause he only has one eye.
In the movie of The Avengers Age of Ultron Cap is worthy he just didn't wanted to ruin Thor's fun but later on in Endgame Thor knew he was worthy during the battle with Thanos and yet Old Steve Rogers can still be able to be part of the Avengers if Mjolnir could get fixed up

"Genuinely believing" you are doing the right thing is NOT the same as actually doing the right thing.
It is a good point...
What makes Thor’s sacrifice more noble than all of theirs?
Didn’t Tony do almost the exact same thing at the end of Iron Man?
and also didnt he snap away thanos in endgame? yeah he did
@@adad87821 That's ignoring everything else about Stark that makes him obviously UNworthy.
@@davidtucker9498 wait in infinity he was thrown into space by thanos and he thought they were dead
Cuz sacrificing isn't enough to be worthy. You also have to remove your ego and arrogance which Stark has a lot.
Deadpool picked it up too.
Jonathan Campbell
You are right.
In Soviet Russia, Thor's hammer is not worthy enough to wield you.
damn, Soviet Russia is inspirational and uplifting AF😂😂
In america you go to soviet russia,
In soviet russia, soviet russia go to you!
In Soviet Russia the hammer doesn't lift if your worthy. You lift it based on the amount of potatoes you have.

Not really. It was already foreshadowed way back in Age of Ultron and Cap can canonically do it in the comics so...not a major surprise for a lot of people. This is more a spoiler for the comics than anything else since mjolnir is nowhere near as exclusive in the comics as it is in the marvel movies
Sorry, I missed the part where Black Widow and Iron Man die.
Dam you cute
Why did Loki sound like a woman?
Why is that strange? Tara Strong voices Timmy Turner, Ben 10, countless others :)
True, oh well, get over it I guess
***** Well that just sounds silly.
why did Loki sound like a woman

To be fair, shapeshifting is kind of Loki's thing.
Well ok then but he isn't here

BuMa I Shane M It occured after loki caused a fake raganarok that kinda caused everyone to be reborn. Loki was reborn as female and swore to never lie again, and she didn't lie, instead, she used truth to manipulate people to do what she wanted, though she was mostly did it to prevent worse things from happening or to stop worse evils..
In Norse mythology, it wasn't about worthy-ness for picking up Mjolnir. It's just Mjolnir is a mega destructive hammer that only Thor was strong enough to wield.
Yeah but it wouldn't work in the Marvel universe: characters like The Hulk or Thanos are stronger than Thor.
In one animated show hulk lift Hammer. He isn't worthy. Just super strentgh
What? No elevator cameo?
cortster12 Yeah, "elevator's not worthy"
LooneyBoy Why? It works 24/7 without asking for approval. Even if it will end its life it still works after some parts of it need a repair until he draws last of breath in neverending battle to help mankind.
Worthy for Viking Gods standard. Which means that yeah sure, the wielder must be heroic and brave but he must an impulsive warrior who loves to fight with a certain degree of bloodlust.

The reason capt couldn’t wield the hammer in that one movie (but could budge it) is because he was morally worth, but lacked the will of a true ruler (as defined by oden) to seek out power himself.
He was ALWAYS worthy, he just pretended not to be. You can't be "half-worthy". You're either worthy or you're not.
@@Marcelelias11 This. Directors for both movies confirmed Steve was always worthy. They said he felt that he could move it, but pretended he couldn't so it wouldn't cause unnecessary drama and because he's not a braggart.

And this happened in the comics first, this was a parody of those moments
So stupid that the worst Charakter, aka Captain America, is worthy ...
Nah, Hulk is stong enough to pick it up
Mr.Fantastic375
Actually we SAW him not being able to pick it up in "Agengers".
+toddsmitts Hulk can only lift it in space when there is zero gravity
He actually could t loft it in the Avengers, but he can lift it on Earth. He has done it before by getting extremely pissed off
None of those will be able to the hammer can be lifted by people with a pure heart of justice and forgiveness this vid was made as a joke :P
This also raises the question of whether Thor can lift it.
I mean, he's an immortal god.
What's he risking? He rarely even USES his full power.
In the movie of The Avengers Age of Ultron Cap is worthy he just didn't wanted to ruin Thor's fun but later on in Endgame Thor knew he was worthy during the battle with Thanos and yet Old Steve Rogers can still be able to be part of the Avengers if Mjolnir could get fixed up
I gave a dollar to a homeless guy, am i worthy?

Batman picks up the hammer.
Batman: “I actively fight super villains, aliens, and literal gods in pursuit of creating a world that doesn’t have to fear criminals, and I’m willing to die for my mission… also, I’m worthy BECAUSE I’M BATMAN!”
According to the myth, it isn't about being worthy, it's actually that he's the only one who can hold it without disintegrating
right but this isnt about myth its about marvel two completely different things
Thor: No body else can pick up Mjolnir.
Mario: Hold my beer

does this mean as long as you're nice you can hold a his hammer
yes.
