Bonus fact: on Mondays Joan goes to the hospital for her weekly check up, and if you talk to her she’ll give you 30-50 turnips!!
I got 100 turnips once. Must have been a first time thing.

Also there’s a bottle with DYI on the beach each day + literally every NPC who you built a house gives you a present for designing their lot (a floor, carpet or a wallpaper)
And you get new dance moves. HHP was great dlc

You can also redeem your poki for bells… I have too much poki! Once I get rid of some TWICE as much comes back, I WORK TOO HARD ON THIS
The dance his character does is probably one of the greatest reactions ever
The secret catalog alone is worth the asking price. It makes obtaining furniture easy, as long as you have used them to make homes at least once.

Another thing is the Poki Exchange system! If you have a bunch of Poki you can trade it for bells daily and he a shit ton of bells fast :D
Don’t forget unlocking a ton of sweet dance moves!
I restarted for the third time recently and redoing happy home is my least favorite thing. I don’t even want to play it but decorating the villagers houses is SO fun. I just play a few levels every night and just open the essential stuff and call it quits lol.

It's similar to Nooks where you have to spend a bit to open the option to shop through Wardell
Yeah, he has almost every item you used for the houses you’ve made. And the more you’ll make, the more items he’ll sell
Also don’t forget to talk to the villagers whose houses are done. They often chill at the beach at the top of the island. They always give you something (each villager) as a present for making them a house. They’re ready to give you something on the next day after you’ve made their home usually
How do I unlock this feature?
I personally really enjoyed it, sincd Happy Home Designer ended up being one of my favourite games from 3ds
Fun fact, i named my island "Paradise" before i was told about the Happy Home Paradise DLC.
I named my island "Cozy Bay," but I just completed the restaurant and it is named "Paradise Pizza Place"

I got this four days ago and i am IN LOVE.
I actually have the DLC for the game already, you also get new DIY Recipes for a Partition Wall, Island Counters, Wooden / Concrete Pillars to design your home with as well! 💕

also check the beaches daily to get glowing moss recipes and u can pluck the glowing moss from the island to make them

If you have the dlc through the online bundle you keep all unlocked features after the subscription runs out except for being able to go to the archipelago
I also have Billy set as the teacher!
I had the original Happy Hone Designer on my 3DS, so i was super excited to play the DLC when it came out. I love the DLC builds so much, but my only gripe is that Happy Home Paradise doesn't have as many buildings for you to design. In the original 3DS game, you could make two shops (one for groceries, one for clothing), an office building, a department store, a concert hall, and a hotel.
I also have the original Happy Home Designer! I agree with you about how it would be nice if we got as many shops as we did in HHD, but I absolutely LOVE how it is connected to your main game and how you can buy things and such in the shops that we got!
Oh yeah, I can't get a free recipe because O'Hare is accidentally blocking the kitchen doorway 😂😂

The only thing I don't like about remodeling my villager's Home is they don't put out anything I give them anymore. I understand why but it still seemed a bit strange

How many homes do you need to complete to unlock wardell's shop?
Yeah but unfortunatly you get burned out very quickly from the game itself Im done with acnh its hard to pick up after months of not playing and I overall have no reason to play it anymore

so yea.. more designing
It is nice but too expensive for what the DLC gives that is DLC locked (so basically just decorating, as some poki items are in nook shop, and nothing prevents you from being gifted items)
Would have been better if it costed 5-10€ less imo
But on a positive note, way better to pay this than happy home designer

when is a good time to get it? i started playing 2 months ago and im currently still in the starting-ish phase of designing my island (4 stars currently). i still dont have plans for the majority of my island. should i get it now or wait until my island is more developed?
you have access to the hhp content (if you have it) as soon as/if you have 3 stars
so i dont see why you wouldnt get it now,, as i dont think hhp ever goes on sale
if youve already got 4 stars then hhp would just work as a nice break from you island + help you develop your island even more
plus the sooner you get it the longer you have to take your time with homes,, bc you unlock stuff the more houses you decorate (eg redecorating your villagers homes)

You have to spend quite a bit of Poki in the Happy Home Paradise shop. Not sure the exact amount though.
