Thank you for showing the difference in each bulbs light output very informative! 😁👍🏁
I believe the incandescent bulbs impact the performance of the cars as well
@@StockpileHobbies I wondered if they would. I was also wondering if the LED lights stayed any cooler to prevent melting of the body when used for a prolonged period of time? Dan at Slot Valley Racing almost melted through one of his new AW Flamethrowers. Not sure what bulb its but that's what got me thinking about it.
@@scottshouseofh.o.racing Yea, I commented on that video. I just tested my 3 flame throwers and all 3 bulbs are blown out... complete junk. They are incandescent bulbs that get hot and burn out. The LEDs shouldn't get hot. Next video is testing all of this, and throwing my AW chassis in the trash 😉
@@StockpileHobbies I'm sure when AW named them Flamethrower they didn't know it was a literal description of what happens when you use the car! 🤣😁👍🏁
@@scottshouseofh.o.racing more like X-crap-tion and Lamethrower. Amazing attention to detail on the bodies and complete garbage underneath
Great video, thank you for posting!!
Lights are Cool on Cars & Track!
Thank you! More races on the way
i put 6 to 12 volt in mine. its bright all thru the trigger. and i got black lights like yours for my nite glow
Great help
VERY COOL!!!! I just cant find the proper bulbs of either type on Amazon any details greatly help!! More informative videos I always Save them to play them while I am attempting lol!! Keep up the awesome work!!!
I have these links in the description

@@StockpileHobbies LEDs good Old ones seller doesnt ship to Canada argghhhhhhhh
@@marcbuck9550 Trust me, you don't want the old ones unless you're repairing a shelf queen. They also impact motor performance
You can do fiber optics to run some of that light to your taillights.
That's a good idea. I may try this in the future
That really cool
And I just uploaded how to change headlight bulb 💡
Now my car can see at night
I'll check out the video tonight after the live stream
Awesome video, how many volts can these bulbs handle
I've had them up to 24 volts, full throttle, on the high speed track for 3 minutes with no issues
@@StockpileHobbies - that’s what I needed to know. Just ordered my from Amazon, thanks again.
Wonder why Auto World uses incandescent bulbs? The LED bulbs would be more efficient and likely cost less.
They are cheaper, so it keeps the cost down, and everything about the AW chassis is cheap in my opinion.
Hi. I recently got back into the hobby and found this video which will help me greatly because I have many tyco cars 440x2 and hp7 that need lights replaced as well as some afx. I know their basically all the same but would it be possible for you to do a video on adding a light to an hp-7 chassis? Again thankyou for this video.
I can definitely do that. It should be a quick video that I can film this week or next. Please subscribe if you have not yet, and thank you for the support!
@@StockpileHobbies I appreciate it and I did subscribe. Also why 16v bulbs and not 12v? I looked online but couldn't find the bulbs I need. Are the bulbs for afx and tyco the same size?
@@alciambriello6961 I'm not sure on that. I really do not like the vintage incandescent bulbs. The LEDs are the way to go.
@@StockpileHobbies I get leds but would take away some of the value of the car considering the lights are not like the original?
@@alciambriello6961 I would go with the old bulbs if you're worried about originality
Great videos.
3mm or 5mm on the led's ?
Hi, there are linked in the description of this video
@StockpileHobbies
Yes, but the link comes up as a pick one, 5mm or 3mm.
@@speedbob712 they are the 3mm
