Nice video, is the TR3 a magnet downforce chassis ? Personaly I swapped my autoworld chassis with the TFX. WIch is magnet less. I really like your car bodies too ! For the drag strip, wich system are you using ? thanks

AFX loves 24volts +. 2 deepcycle car batteries with charger . 700 cold cranking amps . No voltage lag for anyone . We ran 6 lane track 28’ long 8’ wide over 2 and a half scale miles . We used Parma controllers with 45ohm resistance. Jumpers both ends of the straights for the 6 straight always . Banks also had jumpers in the middle . Start track jumped also Never had any issues . Used 18” aftermarket , 15”, 12” flat AFX turns . Fudged the 12” banks for the outer banks 9” ,12”, 12” with a lot of fiddling around with the straight track sizes to keep it looking tight as possible . Took a month to build by myself including table with 3/4” ply 2x4 construction with 4 foot transitions to and from the banks .lots of soldering underneath. A stock AFX would do about 25 mph @ 2,250 scale mph . Allowed racing gears and gravity magnets . Stock motor only . 5 -1/2 second laps . Insane and way fun . Ended up moving though and my buddy has it now better than ever .

Tyco 440 X2’s were the best chassis’s I’ve had✨

I wouldn't mind finding some original Tycho tires that have that little. I wouldn't know what you caught would call it but in the center of it it had that little extra raise of the on the slick some. It was actually some pretty good tires

What is the black box you are using there to give you your time and speed readouts? -Paul

How does the red light work? If you are already over the sensor? Also is the tree always that quick?

What type of chassis do you have?

I have not watched this for a while. It motivated me to look over at the old assembly line.

Great videos. I'm having a very hard time soldering in new tycopro wiper pickups. I'm new using an iron and Temps are a mystery to me. Can you do a few videos on soldering those old tycos and removal / replacement of bulbs of the Aurora Tjet & AFX Flamethrowers?

What car are you running

When painting the outside edge of the rim only instead of doing it with a brush you should try spray painting on a flat piece of plastic till you have a little bit of a puddle and then dip the rim into it while holding the axle. It will produce more consistent results

I found that when soldering to the track if you put a wet sponge under the track it gives you a bit more time so you don't melt the track. this also works when working on solder on the chassis. I didn't realize that only one rail need be tapped for each lane, to this point I have been unsuccessful in tapping my track-- going down to try now!
