- Let's enjoy a little DELTARUNE on vinyl! Created by Toby Fox, the same fellow who made UNDERTALE. Amazing game, amazing soundtrack, such great music.... so happy to have it on vinyl!
Thanks to the success of my other vinyl videos, I am starting to experiment with methods of increasing both the video and audio quality of these videos. You may notice my new RED needle cartridge! It's by a Japanese DJ craftsman called Tayura, and it's got a very powerful sound!
I have three new needles, a RED, a BLUE, and a BLACK, each with different sound quality. Look for them in future videos! Learn about them here ~ taruya.tokyo/
I think the RED worked great with the energy of this DELTARUNE soundtrack! The tracks are very short on this soundtrack, so I let a few play out! The songs that play are Field of Hopes and Dreams, Fanfare (from "Rose of Winter"), Lantern, I'm Very Bad, Checker Dance, and Quiet Autumn.
Recorded these at about -10% speed. The combination of the slower speed (and therefore, pitch) and the Taryua RED needle gave it a very powerful energy...! The audio was recorded from the turntable's built-in USB. Next video, I'm going to try to record the audio lossless in Pro Tools and then sync it to the video. A little more effort, but it could be worth it!
If you have requests, let me know in the comments! I am hoping to record at least one of these per week. I actually recorded many videos the day I filmed this one, but only this one came out good. My vinyl videos may seam simple, but I spend the whole day filming and experimenting... I'm having a lot of fun!

When I first heard it in the game, I thought Toby "stole" is from the internet, because he didn't have any idea, what should he compose for that area. The fact that the name of the song was displayed in the game made it look like he is showing the source of the music. Also, I had a feeling that I have already heard that many times in intros of TH-cam videos.
The fact that it is actually the other way makes me feel comfortable.😍

ok so i think i know why everyone's favorite song was field of hopes and dreams.
the game had the song title for the song pop up, but only for that song for some reason (i mean its also obviously a bop but i feel like that helped our monkey brains remember it better)
Its really good, but second to Friendship. But you're right, without the title, I probably wouldn't have remembered it as well
No the reason the name popped up was because the song was very similar to a song in a Japanese game. I don’t know the name but field of hopes and dreams was somewhat of a parody of it
The song bared similarities to songs from Touhou
And it's just the main theme. An arrangement of it plays when driving to school, and just before entering the fountain.
@@Onceortwice45 The Japanese game you're referring to is Touhou Project, and yeah, this entire song is a huge Touhou reference. The style and instrumentation is very similar to... I want to say Touhou 13? And the way the name pops up directly references how the names of songs pop up at the beginning of a stage in Touhou games.
I feel like A Town Called Hometown on vinyl would be great. It's a cute and mellow tune and the vinyl does kind of enhance that vibe a bit on songs of that type

Sad that there was no Rude Buster, it's such a genius composition with the back and forth A and B instrumentals filling eachother's negative space then simultaneously coming together at the end of each segment is brilliantly done. Though it had Field of Hopes and Dreams which does a similar thing and is also beautifully done, especially at a slightly slower speed and pitch!

Yeah, I really like when ost names gives a feeling which is sort of like an extension to the Ost itself, kind of like how the Ost in turn helps with giving the right setting; as opposed to Undertale's "Home", which was a place in which you hopefully would find comfortable in with time but still sorta feels lonely and not really like YOUR home, You Can Always Come Home gives off such a soothing sense of belonging. It's such a warm place, and after a really long day in which you may or may not have helped save the world, getting Home to a family that loves you and to all the good memories it holds... It's just such an emotional piece of ost
@@krisalis_ Yeah, I agree. Especially when in real life you can't be in the same position. How the title says "You can always come home" gives a sense you belong somewhere and no matter what you can always come back to you have have someone waiting for you to come back to. How in Undertale it's kinda awkward Toriel at the last minute put things together and how the notes are kind of off in a way. You said it much better haha.
In the future, my grandchildren will ask, “Gran, Play us a song from your childhood.” and I’m going to pull this up for them. They’ll probably ask, “Wheres this from?” and then i’ll say, “Song of the gods back in 2019.”

Listening to the regular soundtrack is good too, but there's something about the sound of a record player that just fills me with a sort of warmth.
Dj cutman if you're reading this I just want to say. I love how the undertale/deltarune/sonic mania sounds on vinyl. When you start the record it adds that record sound which (to me) makes the music sound more retro. I love it. Keep it up!
