usually moderate tide swing. clean water and no wind. but really , we go any time we can regardless of the conditions

This was Oceano. You just have to move if you dont find them in 15 minutes. keep moving until you find them... It's awesome to see how many people follow from fresno!

budget baitcasting reels?
The only saltwater bait caster I’ve had experience with is the 13 fishing z3. But I did research the Diawa coastal, Lews inshore. Quantum just released a saltwater bait caster as well...

Dude, DO NOT put that Pro Cure gel on your feathers, or similar materials! It mats the feathers down, sticks them together, and inhibits the natural action. Just put small amount on the tail of the plug's body, you don't need a lot. If you really want to put scent on your feathers, use the Pro Cure Water Soluble scent, it won't go up your feathers, and will put out a scent trail for quite a while. We use a lot of Pro Cure scent for Salmon, Steelhead, and Kokanee, Surf Perch, and Rock Fish up here in Oregon. Good luck, and tight lines!!
Thanks for the tip. Recently it’s been better just using trebles alone without anything... not even sure if the pro cure helped too much for the surf perch.
