This song is 100% originally from Mr. Andrew Rodtugues of Mandopa, Navelim. Sung n written by Andrew himself during 1960s. I am proud to say he was my brother. It became very famous since then. In the North of Goa it is sung as Mando, (famous Mr. Veronica A. Fernandes was singing it once then I surprisingly asked how he knew it and he told me it is a kind of Mando being sung in their side). I would be very happy if Mr. Gasper Crasto have mentioned and remembered Late Andrew Rodrigues prior singing.
