I think these DSG gear box logic is smart enough to determine when the car is stationary in D mode and automatically disengage the clutch. So no need to put in Neutral at stop light as long as the car is not moving and Brake is applied.
Also you should not put the Gear lever in P before applying brake and applying HandBrake.
The correct order is to put gear in P after handbrake is applied. And when starting off gear should be taken out from P first while brake/HandBrake is still active.
Putting the Gear in P before Handbrake is applied and letting the car settled after releasing foot brake will put a lot in the locking Pin in the gearbox. So, if u don’t want to damage your gearbox (all type of automatic gearbox) Never put it in P unless the car is settled after Handbrake is applied.

In Kushaq car Manual PDF - It is mentioned that if you are at the Junction or Signal you are not required to change it to Neutral from D Mode ( Stopping temporarily (e.g. at a junction)

Very nice. But this gearbox is fragile when you drive in heavy traffic jams everyday even if you take the necessary precautions.
While parking just neutral the car pull handbrake then shift to P (Parking) .

I own skoda karoq and as soon as I stop at signal, car engine also stops as I press brake padel. Willl still we have to follow this process.if engine is stopped how come gearbox engaged will cause any issue. This might be new feature they added because of overheating problem. Please advise on this.

I want to buy used Vento DSG Petrol or Diesel 3-4 years old but many suggested to go with Manual instead DSG coz DSG gearbox failure n Cost too much in repairing. Plz advice
Sir Dsg is superb in vento but yes if you are planning to buy vento make sure gearbox is in proper working condition and if possible check it's service record with company before finalising the deal. Sir i am facing an issue with my vento automatic diesel when i put the gear in drive mode with the ac on it stars vibrating and when i put it back to neutral it stops vibrating also sometimes the car doesn't crawl after putting it in D. Please help
You need to get it checked from asc. It can be a gearbox issue

Is DSG gear box able to handle heavy traffic situations.. ? Sometimes we have an hour of b2b traffic. How do you handle the gears in b2b traffic ? Coz it's not possible to shift to neutral everytime in b2b traffic. Any suggestion would be helpful.
DSG vehicles must not roll without accelerator. Therefore in b2b wait a bit let the front vehicle move ahead few meters so you can press accelerator even for an inch is good for DSG health.
Is it necessary to engage hand break in P mode?
Yes, once the gearbox goes to p mode and car stops, then engage handbreak sir but only when you want to switch off the car, else on traffic lights just switch to neutral as described in the video. Do subscribe for more updates 👍
