Well, I don’t think I’ll be wasting my $20. Appreciate you sharing Matt.
Honest reviews ALL the time, thanks Matt!!!! Classic “just come here” he’s right folks!!
Really appreciate that! I try my best
the 6kg rampcrab servo for 19.99 is a great choice
@@SolowFPV yeah I use that one a lot
Like you said… could you imagine how quick it would stall if your truck had ANY amount of extra weight on your front axle?!?
Or decent grippy tires
@@TheShopMiniRC probably wouldn’t move it at all!
@@maxwell5428 true that.
Did you try 8 volts on it?
Your crawling buddy is awesome
Thank you, appreciate the honest review!
Can you do a review on tire tuning discs?
Akers has some that I'm looking at, they are .125", so not super thick.
Wondering how they would do with printed inserts.
Also, install them toward the inside of rig or outside.
Thank you!
@@MrsRabbit8 I ran some tuning rings a couple years ago that were basically never released or only available for a tiny bit. They were made by the guys who made the ox motor. They worked ok for a couple tires but with the printed foams that have came along those usually worked better. I may have to try the ones from Akers. I usually ran them on the outside of the tire to help support the outer edge on turns etc.
@@2fmrc auh, okay cool.
The ones from Akers are thinner, which is probably better.
The printed inserts, like Flubberz, may or may not be good, that's what I'm curious about.
Also, changing up the tuning disc size, what difference? That's a fine tuning thing i guess.
They have 48mm, 54mm, and 56mm.
I may try them all on a 62mm tire to test it, as this would give different results.
Tire size and specific tire model would also apply as they have different sizewalls...
There is a YT channel that put some on the inside and still had the support while maintaining outside wall conforming.
But i think this could also be achieved by playing with the size of the tuning discs.
Like Matt said I run the Akers ones on the outside of a few tires I haven’t stuffed with slymeballs yet. To help when turning. But the best bet In my opinion is flubber stufferz
@@nathanross5406 okay thank you, i just ordered some flubberz.
I have tried to keep the weight lower, but my build is going to be around 450g, maybe more.
How do those Flubz do with heavier rigs? No need for more side support i assume?
Was curious is the tuning discs would help or mess up the function of the flubz.
Thanks for the review, been eyeing these. May God bless you brother 👍
Really appreciate the honesty! Ty
works great when BEC is on. probably gonna fry it eventually. 6.5v from MB100 and from my lizard pro.
Give that Ecopower a chance. Try it on direct power. It made a huge difference in my SCX24 (I suspect the stock receiver didn't like the power draw from the servo), but that's just my own experience.
I never really run direct power in the micros. Too many really good servos that don’t need it. Hate the extra wires lol
I knew it!
All I’ve ever done is broke my echo’s
Burned them up
Or broke the gears.
Granted they were all 1/10th size
Specially, if it was my last $20 I’d buy a steak dinner first🤣🤣
Was that on 6v? Have you tried the 827 on 8.4v?
@@BreydonsRC I’ve only ran it on the stock setup. I really don’t think I’d go this route if I had a better esc that’ll push 8.4v. I’m going with a beast servo at that point lol
@@2fmrc yeah, I get that. It's funny this one is so weak though. I have an old 827 servo in our Deadbolt build that will swing the truck around fairly violently if I hold it by the front wheels. But glad I watched this because I was about to buy one. So thanks for the review.
I had the same experience with the one I put on mine. Not a terrible servo but very underwhelming. gets the job done though!
I appreciate the video before I wasted my money. I’ll catch you on the next one.
Test servos going downhill👍added weight. I got the torq now I want the metal eco. Cheers dude👍🤠
Man this is not what i was wanting to hear. I have a new one in box. Just glad i didn't buy several like i planned on. Thank you Matt!
@@joedavidjarvis7617 yeah me either! I was really hoping it would be a new budget option but it’s really just a stock servo wrapped in a different case apparently 😆
Imagine getting a decent servo with that built-in mount
Yeah I bought one from my local hobby shop cause the dude swore it was a great servo. one run and it gave out.
@@RCFIEND24 dang man that sucks!
Any chance tou got a dud out of the box?
@@mylifted4x4 I don’t think so. It works fine just no power when it needs it. Stock servo worked better lol
Wow…. That’s just bad. Stock servo with the saver clamped down seems stronger. Is eco/amain overrating their servo or is there an issue from the esc/rx? It’s almost like nobody bothered to test one.
@@maxwell5428 the only decent thing about this spektrum setup in these newer scx24s is they actually have a stronger bec to push the servos. Thats why the stock servo actually seems a bit better now than it did in the old original trucks. So it should actually push it better lol
Very strange release from axial & eco power. Why would axial post these as like the official recomended budget upgrade for the 24 on Facebook??? get the set of 4 emaxes for $15 and call it done. This truck drives like a toy compared to the new FMS. I used to be a die hard axial fan but the micro releases, or lack of em are starting to make me annoyed.
Honestly I’ve been wanting a coreless servo for the longest, these emax servos are so loud
Wish I saw this video 24 hours ago! Maybe I can do a giveaway with it... Lol
Crazy thing is all you can use it for is a scx24. Maybe turn it into a winch?
Whoa, dejavu I could have sworn I've already seen this video
Terrible servo, thanks for taking one for the team !
The rock lion did not approve 😂😂
The kitty, aka crawling buddy!!
Yesssss!!!
@@2fmrc what's the kitties actual name?
@@seniorxj2931 Fluffers! He has a real fluffy tail and the kids decided to call him Fluffers lol. He has two brothers…. Curious and Simba. All orange cats. Their mom is a white calico and they called her Cupcake. So we got plenty of kitties around lol. But Fluffers is the one that always comes out to crawl with me 😆
@@2fmrcNiice! I really miss my baby girl! She passed in 2016 and I still can't find the strength to get another 😔
I'll try to remember all that so you know it's me commenting! Lol
ive gone threw 2 of them in my wraith. there not good.

Savox or MKS only,….
@@prvtjy man all of the Savox and mks I’ve had are too loud! I run the 1258tg in my short course race trucks but even those are loud. Don’t really matter in the 4x4 short course truck though. They as loud as can be lol. I got an mks in my tlr Typhon that is very unimpressive for the price though. I usually run ShiftRc in my crawlers. Hard to beat their GT3 1/10 monster servo!
Just installed it and saw your video a little too late. The eco servo will Barely move my aftermarket wheels.. yep servo is crap
@@ericwfarber sorry to hear that man. This one was a major let down for sure. Check out the torq 1011 if you decide to upgrade again on a budget. ATM it’s $29 and is GREAT!
Torq 1011 Best Budget Micro Servo for the SCX24 or any micro?
th-cam.com/video/hjW81O0YPNs/w-d-xo.html
Looks like it’s worse than stock to me, at least the stock one does work
Everything about Ecopower sucks 😮
No, that’s a piece of junk
