I was at the Bears-Lions game in 1981 when the the Chicago QB Evans ran the ball in from the Detroit 5 yard line for the TD on the final play in regulation. Detroit kicked off for the OT and the Chicago Bear kickoff receiver ran it all the way back for the game winning TD. They went from 7 points up with 5 seconds to go to losing in OT on the kickoff, all in about 20 seconds. That organization is hopeless, and the curse of Bobby Layne lives on. I’ve seen it for nearly 60 years now.
